Though born into the higher classes, Thomas was not snobbish, he felt that many people were undeserving of the hatred and indignity the nobles piled upon their heads. His experiences with the Elves and their plight only increased his desire to help others, rather than hurt, though his family looked down on him for "stooping to their level". He is kind to those around him, though this can often get him into trouble, as many take advantage of this kindness for their own gain. His kindness does have its limits, and he has been known to lash out in anger if provoked too often, on top of this, he hates authority, believing it to be the reason for unneeded suffering.

Biography
Born into a wealthy human family, Thomas was given the finest education money could buy. He absorbed all he could, and upon reaching eleven years of age, began learning more practical skills such as cooking and herbalism. His parents viewed his interest in "servants work" as unseemly, and tried to discourage his taking part, but Thomas was curious, and wished to learn all he could about the world and how it worked.
As he got older, Thomas began to venture out into the streets of the Capital, drinking in the sights as if they were fresh air. He marveled at the majesty of the palace and the intricate adornments of the nobility. That was when he met Evangeline. A sweet girl with a fiery temper, she caught him laughing as she was scolding a young man for bumping into her on the street. The next few minutes were not a pretty sight, as she proceeded to scold him instead, something that turned his cheeks strikingly red. From that moment on, they were inseparable friends.
Thomas' awe of The Capital was eventually soured, when he came upon the near-destitution and pain of the Elves months later. A few of the Elves could be seen entering and leaving modest homes, most however were forced into living in lean-to's and shacks, surviving on the meager bread they could afford. His blood ran cold at the sight. These were the people his parents hated?
From that day forward, Thomas was determined to help. Using his skills in cooking, he would serve great pots of soup to the Elves under the cover of night, careful to avoid detection for fear of being exiled from his parents' home. His skill in herbalism came in handy as he helped to cure the Elves of disease, and his adeptness in first aid allowed him to fix their physical injuries. Eventually Thomas came to hate the king and the nobles for their treatment of the elves as lesser, and as a result, began to lift his voice against them.

Evangeline is a pretty free spirit, she doesn't like to be told what to do and majority of the time, if she is told to do something, she ignores it and does things her way. She is a fierce believer in what goes around eventually comes back around and she always sticks up for the underdog. She is generous to those who need it but do not cross her, when she is angry, she is pretty terrifying.

Quick to make plans and execute them. Educated in hand to hand combat. Is an expert at retracing steps

The young couple though nothing of it and decided to keep the baby as their own. She grew up under their influence and a lot of her personality actually comes from them, even though they are not her biological parents. Evangeline and Thomas became best friends when she was around the age of 13 and have been inseparable every since.
