"TODAY THE KING HAS GONE TOO FAR! WE MUST HAVE SOMETHING DONE. THIS TYRANT MUST BE STOPPED!"

These were the current words of the council. In the year 1340 A.D there was a huge kingdom that spread through most of Europe. This kingdom was run by the tyrannical King Richard II. Originally the kingdom was governed by the king and the council, using balance of powers, and making decision together. Slowly though the young king, as he grew older, grew more distant from the council. It started with a high class prison trial where the council voted that the man accused be jailed. The king ignoring their votes had his guards execute the accused man in public. The council overlooked this, but it was like telling a kid not to get another cookie out of the jar after already taking one. The king continued to defy the council to the point he had one of the councilors executed for defying him, and another one later assassinated when he suspected the council of sending assassins after himself.

The Kingdom is now split between the King and the Council, and all those who follow them. The remaining 10 councilors have rounded up some of the best assassins known to eliminate the King's associates, family and the King himself. However unaware to the council they are all being targeted by assassins as well. The kingdom is now assassin battle ground. So who are you? One of the king's assassin's? The Council's? Or are you a person caught in between?

The black haired man gently removed a ring of gold from the finger of a fresh corpse that lay before him. This was one of the only things he didn't like about his line of work. Getting "proof" of the kill. Sometimes it was a ring, sometimes it was a weapon, and sometimes it was a finger or an ear. This and not being drunk on the job were the only problems he had. But he knew in the long run it was helping take down the king. Alex stood from the corpse and examined the tax collector once more. He was a young man, no older than Alex himself. Alex shook his head and put the ring in his pocket. He took his cloak and placed it over the body so it wouldn't be discovered immediately. This time of the year it would take a week until the smell left the narrow alley.

Alex left the alleyway, and made his way to the guild where he dropped off the ring. After receiving his payment he made his way to the area's tavern, as usual. After getting his drink he sat quietly drinking, looking at the many women in the tavern and thinking how strange it was that a killer like himself was among these 'normals'. Although he wouldn't be surprised if any of them were enemy or allied assassins. He certainly hope that wasn't the case for one of the working girl who had caught his eye. He sipped his beer once more, wondering what the day had in store for him. It was only noon, and it was sunny for once. Perhaps he would take a trip to the port.

Christopher was doing his daily patrols with a couple of soilders following no matter where he went. He had asked the king to patrol the slumps of of the kingdom and he was granted permission to do so. He mostly decided to patrol the slumps to see old friends and family. He was embraced in the slumps because every knew him before he left...and they know the good he has done to help him. But today was not a day to chat and celebrate. He had been ordered to track down the missing tax collector that had been blamed for running off with he kings gold. Christopher ordered his men to spread out and find him, as his men went separate directions, he made his way into a nearby tavern. He took a seat while one of his childhood friends brought him the usual "Thanks Ashley, you never let me down when it comes to this" he said taking a big gulp. The girl smiled at him and went back to work before the manager caught her slacking. He sat there for awhile wondering when he can finally help the people he cared about so much, how much longer, before the dam king got what he deserved.

Alex took one last gulp of the beer when he saw the notorious Royal Knight leader walk in. Although he was said to be slightly against the king, he still obeyed orders. Alex hoped this had nothing to do with the tax collector. They couldn't have found the body so fast. Unless..Maybe the tax collector had done something to piss off the king. Either way Alex didn't have a good history with the knights. More than once had he stolen or lost a bet and more than once did he get chased by knights. He hoped the leader didn't know who Alex was. Last thing he wanted was to fight or get arrested on such a nice day.

He saw the girl who had caught his eye make her way to the back. Oh the agony. Stay and maybe pick up a woman, with the risk of the leader knowing who he was, or leave and not get any today, but be guaranteed that he was safe from arrest. Alex finished his beer and reached into his pocket. He left his pay in the mug he had just drank from. When the girl was coming out, Alex decided he would play with lady luck. "Sorry to bother you love. Could I get another round for myself and that gentleman?"

Two beers in hand he made his way over to the knight, ready to run though in case the knight knew that Alex was a thief. "Sir, if I may?" he asked, bowing slightly while offered the second beer toward the knight.
