Fantasy The Beast's Legacy

vibrantsystem

cool and also legal!
Short version- Children who can shapeshift into animals living together within in an enclosed space.

Long version- There were two separate worlds. One of them was only ruled by animals and the other by humans (the other being akin to our Earth). The animals, while bearing the same level of "intelligence" as the humans in the other, were not as advanced as the humans, possibly due to their shapes and forms.

On occasion, small tears would open up between this world and that one, and when, for instance, a human stepped through, they would have to assume the appearance of animal, although it would be painfully obvious that they weren't of that world. The reverse for the animals was also true-they would become humans. However, these "humans" weren't as obviously "not" human as the humans who passed through into the opposite world were.

In the end, the world occupied by the animals began to crumble away, turning into nothing but a memory, and in a desperate attempt at saving their races and culture, some of them fled into the human world, where they had children, and then shortly died after. The children, however, due to being born in the human world could alter between being animals and humans upon desire.

The animals knew they would die after the children were born, the children ended up arriving in orphanages. In the orphanages, the children, due to being, young could not control their forms, and the various governments of the world could hardly not take notice of the reports of children swapping between being animals one moment and humans the next.

In an attempt to keep the children safe and relatively unknown, the different governments sent the children off to live in a house in a forest with a dangerous, yet false, reputation. There the children lived with an elderly lady, who looked after them for several years. She, however, passed away, leaving the children to fend for themselves.

The house was surrounded by an extensive garden, along with some of the forest within a series of large stone walls built around the building, sealing in the children (not perfectly sealing in. Of course there would be a few that would be able to fly, and they would fly out of the walls. They just wouldn't ever land, and would return back to the supposed safety of the walls).

The children were brought up never wishing to cross the wall and never do so. They have lived alone for many years and are extremely capable of surviving in both their human and animal forms. There are only eight children in the house, despite the fact that there were originally twenty children that could swap between the animal and human forms. The other twelve were killed before the governments got them to the house.

Nobody goes near the forest, due to the unpleasant rumors and stories regarding the area. The children have never seen any other humans-barring the elderly lady who looked after them-and have never set foot out of the walls (excusing the ones who have flown around above the forested area). That is, of course, until it is noticed that there is something wrong with the walls.

The morning had been fairly standard for Castrell. Midday was nearing and a relentless rain beat down outside, turning the patches of recently-mowed grass that made up the fairly mediocre lawn into a lake of thick brown mud. Castrell didn’t know what the forest floor currently looked like, but he could give a fairly good guess on what its state.

Castrell hadn’t been outside that day, which was odd for him. He was normally outside for at least a couple of hours before midday rolled over. He was an early riser and a night owl, and never seem to grow too tired.

Sitting at the kitchen table, Castrell was leaning with his head resting on one arm. It was comfortable for his that way, and he fairly bored. The morning had been spent either a. sifting through the averagely-sized library looking for books to read, b. sitting at the table doing nothing, or c. toying idly with his scarf in a manner that suggested he was bored. The thing was, he had been longing to shift all day. It was like an itch. Something that needed to be scratched, and it was something he simply couldn’t scratch on this day. He had shifted already, yes, but it wasn’t the same being a wild animals indoors when you wanted to be outdoors.

With a sigh, Castrell started to toy with his scarf, looking at it one occasion. It was patterned with small green leaves finely woven in. He had found it after the elderly lady-what was her name?-had passed away. It was in a small room on the second level of the house in what was called the “rubble room”, due to the way it looked like a small earthquake had recently struck the room and scattered objects everywhere. Castrell had claimed the scarf as his own ever since, and had had to frequently wash it due to it developing a smell not unlike wet dog.

Hoping someone would come into the kitchen, Castrell resumed his sitting, letting the end of the scarf go and looking up and out the window at the rain that pattered down outside.

Sefu stared at the tree branch from the ground. He was supposed to do something to it, but he couldn't remember what. "What was I supposed to do again?" he asked nobody at all. He scratched his head whilst doing so. "Maybe Caster will remember. Russel. Canell. Whatever her name was. His name. Whatever gender my friend is. Or enemy. Whatever my relationship with that person is." he said, talking to himself. He started walking to the direction of the house, but stopped when he reached the walls. "How did I even get here when there are walls??" Sefu then paused, "Wait, what was I thinking about again?" He put his foot against the wall and tried to climb but ended up sitting on his bottom.

Sefu scratched his head. "
Well, climbing doesn't work. What did I do to get out?" Then, a nonexistent lightbulb appeared on top of his head. "Shift!" he exclaimed then turned into a bat. I'm a flying cow! he thought to himself as he landed inside the house and shifted back into a human. "I'm hungry. Someone give me food." he said. Receiving no reply, he huffed and went o the kitchen, but ended up going inside the bathroom. "This isn't the kitchen!" He went to a bedroom, the living room, the dining room, until he finally entered the kitchen. Once Sefu did, he saw someone there.

"
Bye, who are you?"

Lucy sits on the wall by herself, looking down inside the fence. She sighs as she sees some confused boy trying to climb the wall but then turns into a bat and flies to the house. She shakes her head. Lucy had been observing some of the people since she was little. He would watch them and see if they might be able to be friends. Lucy was quiet as a child and didn't talk to the other kids much, her favorite person to talk to was Nancy, the old lady who used to watch over them. Nancy always tried to get Lucy to play with the other kids but it never succeeded. She knew some of the kids names but not many. Lucy sighs as she gets hungry and jumps off the wall. She lands on all of her padded four paws. Wanting to change into human but finding it alittle difficult, she wrestles internally with herself for a few minutes. Finally she succeeds and turns human. She walks into the house an then the kitchen.

Rivern played with one of the few things that interested him anymore, the small trinket which he created from a mess of bolts and gears he had stumbled upon both within the houses walls and outside of them. His scarred finger tips played with the many gears and twisted other parts of the mechanism until the small creation didn't interest him anymore.

Riverns tired eyes searched the walls of his single person bedroom before yawning, his arms stretching up into the air. The unusual yearning for socialising filling his otherwise solitude self. Pulling on his coat and readjusting his eyepatch once more the dark haired teen retreated from his lonesome room and stepped down the stairs. Turning into the kitchen he found the two other teens he had been here with for awhile.

Rivern attempted to recall each of their names as he reached into the fridge retrieving two apples quietly.

Lucy. And Castrell he thought finally leaning into the counter for a moment.

"It's weird to not see you frolicking outside. Not in the mood for some rain?" He spoke through a growing a yawn referring to Castrell and his well known love for the outdoors, picking off a small dot which plagued the surface of one of the granny smith apples. Before shining the smooth exterior and taking a small quiet bite his red eye looking even brighter beside the vivid green.

The sound of pitter patter of the water droplets that fell from the gloomy sky could be heard upon the window, pounding gently on the glass. The dim lighting from outside shined through the transplant windows and onto the bed and there lying a bundle of blankets covering a small girl inside. Turning and rolling in her sleep, her eyes fluttered open, sky blue orbs filled with mysteries in them shined in the light. Pushing the blanket off slowly, the girl sat up and yawned, stretching her arms out and looking around her slowly. Her hair was slightly messy from her turns and her eyes were covered in yuck, rubbing them out and blinking.

Now that the yuck was gone, her vision became more clear. Looking around her once more, she noticed that she was in a small room, her room to be precise. Books and papers were all scattered on the floor and a wooden desk stood at the far end of the room where she would study. Getting up from the comfort of her bed, she placed her feet down onto the cold touch of the floor, not bother by it much and walked over to her desk, careful not to stay on the papers or the books on the floor. Placing a hand on the book that laid open on her desk, she scanned the words on the dirty brown pages.

Her eyes were emotionless but deep in them, they glimmered with despair and loneliness. The book was a dairy, her dairy, and inside was the story of her times with the old woman that raised them, all alone with no one to help her. Though her time with the lady was short, she had made a special bond with her and now she was alone in this house along with the other kids who had survived. With one last glance at the words, she quickly closed the book shut and locking the locket on it. Hiding the keys away so no one would open her personal book, she went off to change from her pajamas, stripping off the white dress and putting on what seemed to be a plain white kimono along with a turquoise cloak with flower designs over it.

The kimono was her own creation that she made with the help of the old lady who she called as her "grandmother" since she was old and acted like one for her. The grandmother taught her how to make clothing and helped her learn how to do many things and that was how Shima, the young girl's name, was able to make things and be useful for the other ones who lived among her. She was the youngest among the eight kids and was seen as the puny one among them but she wasn't weak.

She could fight for her own self if she needed to and when she shifted to her animal form, she was much bigger than the others along with her strength. She was the tiger of the "family" after all and the second biggest cat besides a lion.

-------

After getting herself ready, she walked out of her messy room that looked like a hurricane had hit it, shutting the door shut and locking it behind her. She didn't like people messing with her stuff and if anyone was to mess or even touch her things, she would strike them down without hesitation. Though they were now her "family", she still had her doubts and she wasn't close with all of them, there were some of them that she disliked but she could never hate them, they were like her "siblings" and she could never hate her "siblings" whether they're dumb or not.

Combing her hair a bit, she left the hallways and down the stairs where she could hear chattering,"
Seems they have already awaken now." Shima thought to herself and hopped off the last step towards where the voices were coming from, peeking into the kitchen to see who it was. Looking into the kitchen, she saw four figures inside one of them had a muddy brown hair who seemed bored out of his mind, playing around with a chartreuse yellow scarf with small leaves on it, the other person was a tall fellow with bright blonde hair and a pair of hazel eyes, the next was another boy but he had jet black hair and rubies as eyes or in this case, eye since he was wearing an eyepatch covering his right eye and finally the last was a girl, long blonde locks and pretty golden eyes that shined like the moon on a clear night.

Shima could remember all their names well, the silent wolf, Castrell, the thoughtless bat, Sefu, the calm cheetah, Rivern and the quiet feline, Lucy. They were all either older than her by one or two years. She didn't know them all very well but she didn't mind them much but she didn't know if she should join in on their group since she was the youngest, she wasn't use to being with the others much, the only time she ever interact with them was when they needed help or the old lady wanted them to but since the old lady was gone, Shima didn't know what to do with the older ones and decided to keep her distant from them for now, watching them from behind the entrance of the kitchen with curious eyes.

-Sorry that this is super long >w<' I like writing details alot xD -

Lucy walks over to the fridge and grabs a yogurt. She grabs a spoon and goes and sits next to a brown haired boy that's wearing a yellow scarf with green leaves. 'His names... Castrell, right?' She thinks to herself as she opens her yogurt and dips her spoon in the creamy dairy product. She loved dairy. She dips her spoon on the creamy yogurt again and brings the sweet tasting food to her mouth and sucks on the spoon for a few minutes, lost deep in thought.

Castrell wasn’t particularly bothered by Rivern’s comments on the outside “frolicking”. The use of the word had ticked him off slightly, but that was about it. ‘Well, unless you want a wet dog smell to hang around the house for a few days,’ he said calmly, continuing to play with the scarf.

Castrell had ignored Sefu’s odd greeting, simply because it was something he was so used to. How could you not after living with someone for pretty much your whole life.

‘Well,’ Castrell said, looking at the assembled people of the room. ‘Did everyone decide to come and eat at the same time or something?’ He asked, casting a glance at a small clock that hung on the wall. 11:50 it seemed to read.

Standing up, Castrell walked over to a cupboard and pulled it open. It hung over the kitchen bench, and frequently got in the way when food was being prepared. ‘Hmmmm,’ he mused, pushing around several cans of food. There really wasn’t much barring tinned peaches. The fridge yielded a bright, fresh orange however, much to Castrell’s delight.

Returning over to the bench, now with an orange in hand, Castrell opened a draw, removed a knife and set about slicing up the orange into quarters. The various “quarters” were uneven, but it didn’t matter, since he wasn’t good with a knife.

‘So then,’ he said, addressing everyone in the room. ‘How was everyone been today thus far?’ Castrell stopped short of saying anything about the “frolicking”, holding his tongue.

"Ehh, kinda boring. I stayed outside and sat on the wall this morning until it started raining. I watched a few animals run around together on the outside. They seemed... So... So free." Lucy responds with a sigh as she continues to slowly eat her yogurt.

"Hmmm, so if I place that here, I would have to move HERE." Camilla drew an X in the middle of a three by three square on a sheet of paper. There was a circle in the top left corner, as she had been playing tic-tac-toe with herself and learning all the different patterns and combinations possible. Laying on her stomach in bed, she examined the work for a few seconds, before exclaiming, "That's it!" she drew arrows pointing towards the X in the middle and placed the paper on a portion of her wall, along with many other diagrams of tic-tac-toe. She looked at the collage she had proudly, placing her hands on her hips. "Done! Now no one can beat me ever again!" Her entire left side of her rooms wall was filled with drawings, diagrams, and tips for a variety of different games, ranging from chess to rock-paper-scissors. When the old lady was around, Cam used to play games with her all the time to test her skills and theories. Now that she was gone, she felt mildly lonely, though the rest of the kids in the house were still there, so not everything was bad.

Hopping out of her room, she closed the door and made her way downstairs. As chatter filled her ears, she felt eager to play some games of some sort with the rest of the group. Maybe I can show off my new-found knowledge of tic-tac-toe! As she reached the bottom of the stairs with enthusiasm, she saw Shima, the youngest yet one of the more serious members of the 'family' watching the others from outside the kitchen. Smiling, Cam snuck up behind her before loudly greeting with, "Good morning, Shima!" grabbing Shima by the shoulders from behind and spinning with her in tow into the kitchen with the others, laughing as they both halted after 4 rotations. "Oh, hey guys!" She waved dizzily at the others.

Lylah awakens to the feel of rain on her pelt, having fallen asleep on a tree limb outside sometime early morning. She tended to be awake most at dawn or dusk, as the cat in her preferred. She sighs annoyedly before making her way down the tree and back to the ground. She pads her way inside, changing back into her human form, completely drenched. She paused at the doorway and wrung herself out the best she could before going inside. She makes her way into the kitchen on her way to her room to change, a little surprised at seeing everyone gathered there. "Am I missing a house meeting or something?" She asked, herself being a rare sight to some of them in the middle of the day since that's when she usually slept.

Black feathers were pelted with oncoming rain, weighing down a raven that was fluttering its way back to its home. It's strikingly night black down shook with each beat of its wings and its beady eye was trained on its destination. Nearing the wall the raven let out a high pitched caw before landing on the inside of its home. Now on the ground the raven desperately looked for cover from the downpour. After finding a nice patch of shade from the rain the raven plucked at its feathers in a vain attempt to get the feathers straightened out. For a few more minutes it plucked and patted until it's feathers weren't a ruffled mess. Now clean the raven started to transform, it grew bigger, feathers resided, and its eyes changed into a light purple. In its place was a tall, lithe, man with long purple hair with pink streaks tied up in a low ponytail with a blue and black ribbon. The man was wearing a black suit that's color matched the raven's feathers with ruffles near the end of the sleeves. His boots were high heeled and chocolate brown making the already tall man a few inches more. His face that was usually relaxed and held a smug smirk was pinched in a worried scowl.

Something doesn't feel right...but when I circled around the wall there was nothing, just rain and muddy land...Heh the irony of a supposed ill omen predicting bad times...

Shaking himself out of his stupor Percy walked into the house, his thoughts drifting to the old lady...

If only she was still alive I could talk to her about this...oh well, the past is in the past I guess, no use dwelling, besides I can figure this out of my own.

Hearing chatter emanating from the kitchen Percy plastered on his best smile and strutted in the kitchen while flipping his hair.

"Morning everyone!" Percy greeted them. "Though now that I'm here I guess it's turned into a good morning!"

Walking near the fridge Percy brought out a piece of strawberry cake he made last night from said fridge. The sweet smell of sugar and strawberries filled his nose and before he knew it he leaned against the counter and dug in.

Shima observed as everyone got something to do, Lucy enjoying her daily diary yogurt and Rivern munching on a red, juicy apple. Castrell was the one to make a conversation, asking how everyone day was so far. Shima knew that the question was only directed to those who were in the kitchen and Shima wasn't the one to join in so she decided to wait till they left, about to walk away when she heard soft footsteps behind her. About to see who it was, she was suddenly grabbed by the shoulder and someone greeting her loudly in the morning, Shima then started to be spun around in a perfect 360 four times in a row before stopping into the kitchen and trying to catch her breath.

Everything was spinning around in circles, seeing two of everything before shaking her head and looking around to see where she was. Fixing her kimono, Shima glanced back at the culprit who spun her around, sighing when she saw Camilla, the happy-go-lucky panda with her craziness already starting so early in the morning just when Shima just woke up. Rubbing her temple as an after affect of a thumping headache from the spin came on, Shima sighed once more but more heavily. She was now spotted just when she was about to leave and now she was to join into the group but she didn't mind much, she needed something to cheer her up for the loss of the old lady, Shima dully stared at everyone.

Soon after, another person arrived, the black jaguar of the crew returning from her usually nap and along after was the older raven, who gave everyone a warm greeting, walking off to the fridge to grab a piece of one of his famous strawberry cake from yesterday, sitting down at the dining table along with the others, happily chewing his cake in delight of the sweet texture,"
Everyone is up and early today... been a while since we done this type of thing." Shima thought. Everyone had gathered all into the kitchen, the place feeling lively and warm, this feeling that Shima loved when the old lady was here.

Memories flowing into her mind of those times, her eyes drooped down to the ground. She wasn't crying but she did feel lonesome and depressed over the death since the old lady was very precious to all of them because she was the only human that loved them for who they were even if they were different. She accepted them whole-heartedly and took them under her wings and nursed them to become who they were, clenching at her long sleeves of the cloak, she bit softly on her bottom lip, trying hard not to be reminded of the past. The tears daring to spill but she held her pride strong, she may be the youngest but if she was to show her weakness to them then she would only make things worse, the weather already expressing how she was feeling,"
I want to leave." Shima mumbled softly, gripping at her kimono more to hold in the tears she so desperately tried to hold in.

Letting the spongy cake and frosting fill his taste buds Percy let out a moan in delight.

Nothing like some sugar to brighten up a dreary day!

The strawberries were the true icing of the cake though...literally. Still juicy and sweet with an added fruity aftertaste it was a welcomed touch to his usual sugar only diet. Popping some more cake in his mouth Percy looked around the kitchen and saw Shima, wearing a kimono like usual. However this one seemed more elegant as it was simple. The flower designs looked to be carefully stitched to perfection and the cloak gave off a subtle flair. All the while the kimono framed her petite form, but it was careful not to bury the girl in it. Shima was always a quite one, who minded her own business and only really socialized with the old woman. Even though she was the youngest she in his mind was the toughest. While admiring the girl overall Percy saw her clench the sleeves of her kimono, her hands trembling and she seemed tense like she was holding back tears.

Poor girl...although tough she's only a child...and to lose her mother figure...oh dear.

Setting down his plate Percy grabbed another piece of cake from the fridge and walked over to her.

"Hello Shima you know sweets always make me feel better, like on a cruddy day like this...especially my homemade cake." Percy informed her while holding out the piece of cake as an offering of peace. "Also I find it helps loosen the tongue, if you need to talk, we could always go in separate rooms...I'm here for you honey."

Castrell looked up from his plate of poorly quartered orange. There were only two pieces left now, and since he had started eating it slowly, peeling off the skin and discarding it on the side of his plate, two more people had arrived, completing the misfit family. A jaguar and a raven completed the mix, but something was going on with Shima and Percy. Percy seemed to be comforting her after his recent arrival.

Standing up, Castrell walked over to Percy and Shima. 'Looks like a nice cake,' he commented, complementing Percy and his efforts with baking. Castrell swiftly walked over to the sink, leaving his comments to hang in the air while he drenched his hands in water, washing the sweet, sticky orange juice from them.

Return, Castrell looked at Shima. 'You okay?' He asked her, although it was clear she wasn't.

Lucy finished her yogurt and puts her spoon in the sink. She throws the plastic yogurt container away and walks out the kitchen, bored at the lack of noise. Sighing she walks into the living room and plops on the couch.

((It's hard typing a paragraph because of the translations. .__.))

Sefu stared at everyone at the kitchen. "Why is nobody at the bathroom?" he asked them.

(Why is everyone at the kitchen?)

He sat on a chair and continued staring at them. He watched them talk, do stuff, do gestures, walk here, walk there, spin around, dance crazily, and other things. "They are geniuses..."

(They are crazy people...)

He then stood up and grabbed a banana from the fruit basket. "Does anyone want an mango?" he asked them with a small smile.

(Does anyone want a banana?)

Sefu peeled the banana and took a bite. "This looks good, who baked that?" he asked everyone.

(This tastes good, who bought this?)

He then waited for a response while continuing to eat the banana.

"Is the biker a janitor or something? Is this because he or she won't show himself or herself to me?"

(Is the "baker" a god or something? Is that why he or she won't show himself or herself to me?)

Cam regained her positioning before picking up an apple and taking a large bite out of it. Things are way too quite, I don't like it. She always preferred to be doing something, whether it be playing a game or just being downright silly. Scanning the kitchen, she noticed that Shima was seemingly being comforted by Percy and Castrell. She did seem slightly tense, and Cam was worried that maybe she made her upset by spinning her around. However, the fact that the two guys were already dealing with the issue just meant that a third person would make the situation awkward, and Cam hated awkward. She flashed a smile towards Shima before taking another bite of her apple.

She glanced over at Sefu, who was speaking some nonsense as always. Cam had always saw him as a very strange individual, always forgetting things that seem like common knowledge. Smiling, she walked over to him, Pulling out a notebook and pencil she always carried around. 'Always be prepared for any game' was her motto. "Hey, Sefu. Want to play tic-tac-toe with me?" She drew a three by three grid and let out a bright smile as she handed the notebook over to the forgetful boy. "You DO remember how to play, right?"

Sefu stared at the notebook given to him by the girl in front of him. "Yes, of course." he said as he grabbed the notebook. He looked to his right and grabbed a pencil from the drawer, then wrote an X on the middle of the grid. "Your turn." he told her as he passed the notebook to the girl while looking intently at her, like some kind of... staring bunny. Sefu then grabbed another banana from the fruit basket and peeled it. He finished the banana earlier and he wanted to eat another one. He took a bite on the banana, which was on his left hand, while tapping the pencil, which was on his right hand, against the side of the chair he was sitting on. Ah, now I remember. I was supposed to sit on that branch from earlier. he thought to himself.

Shima felt like she was drowning, her heart squeezing her chest tightly and her vision blurry with tears that she have been holding back. Trying to hide herself, she tried to cover her eyes with her long bangs, looking down so none of the others would see but it seemed someone already saw right through her, the older of the family coming up to her with a slice of strawberry cake. The sweet fragrance filled Shima's nostrils and made her snap out of her depressing thoughts and replaced with a more sweeter, fluffy feeling.

Looking up at Percy, Shima didn't know what to say, knowing the elder one was only trying to help but she didn't want to look weak now, trying to think up what to say that wouldn't hurt his feelings,"
Umm... I-" Before Shima could speak, Castrell came up and gave a quick comment to Percy's homemade cake, leaving them for a bit to wash up before coming back and asking about Shima's being. Now it was two people who had find out that Shima wasn't well, staring at the two with sad eyes.

Letting her grip drop at her sleeves, she raised her hands to take the offering of the cake without a word, taking the fork that laid next to the cake and stabbed into the cake, ripping a piece of the soft, yellow sponge. Putting the small piece into her mouth, the sweetness of the cake spread all over like fireworks, popping her tastebuds in sweet delight. The taste of the cake made Shima want to cry, a strange, warm feeling feeled her heart to the brim and made her remember those memories, fluffy and sweet memories of the old lady.

With this, her bangs fell down onto over her face and covered her eyes that leaked with tears, a single droplet dripping down from Shima's closed lids, the salty tears rolling down onto the cake. Just like the rain outside, Shima was the gloomy clouds that was letting out all she had been collecting and holding back for so long, trying to contain her hiccups and her shoulders shaking as if she was cold.

-Depressing post ;w;-

Taking the notebook back from Sefu, her eyes widened. The middle!? Oh no, this is bad. She had run many tests over and over, and she had figured out it was impossible to win if your opponent went in the middle first. Sure, she could tie, but that wasn't winning. She stared intently at the paper. If it was anywhere else it could have been possible for her to win, but of course it had to be there. She didn't expect such a decisive move from the forgetful bat. Sweating, Cam drew a circle in the bottom right corner of the grid and handed the book back to Sefu, eyes filled with intensity. Maybe he'll make a mistake and make it possible for me to win. She was banking on luck to get her victory, but it seemed unlikely. I knew I should of went first.

Sefu took the notebook with his right hand and placed it on his lap. Sefu looked at where the girl placed the circle. The bottom right corner. He smirked and placed an X on the top right corner. Blocked. He mentally laughed then handed the notebook back to the girl. "After this game, if you know how to play chess, please don't invite me to play that. I don't know how to play that board game." he said as his smirk was replaced with a pleading look. "If you know..." Sefu then took a bite from his banana and watched the girl. I wonder why they call it Tic-Tac-Toe. Is it because of the grid? Maybe. I'll search this later. he thought to himself.

"I know, doesn't it?" Percy replied to Castrell’s compliment on his cake.

The wolf, Castrell also seemed to notice something was going on with Shima, as his chartreuse colored eyes were filled with worry when he asked Shima if she was okay. After Castrell asked, Shima surprisingly took the cake without saying anything; Percy thought she'd probably resist the temptation of his cake, though she took it just like that. Watching her eat it concern welled up in his chest when a single tear rolled down her cheek and plopped on the cake. It seemed her will power was breaking and more tears were threatening to break loose as she trembled and shook. He felt his heart break as he was looking at Shima so Percy ended up scooping Shima in his arms and carrying her to the living room so they could have some privacy, he could at least spare the girl that. Sitting down with the shaking girl in his lap Percy held her tight, letting his arms envelop her tremoring body.

"You know there's no point in holding it all in, after all there's no shame in crying...to be honest with you I think it makes you a stronger person." Percy informed her, using a gentle tone.

After seeing two people walk into the living room alone ands seeing the girl crying, Lucy decides to get out if the living room and give them some privacy. Lucy walks out of the living room and back into the silent kitchen. Lucy sighs and looks out the door and into the limited space that the teens have.

Cam looked at where Sefu had placed his X, then threw her hands up in frustration. "Nooooooooo! Why did you have to go there!?" Now there was no way for anyone to win and it was going to be a tie game. The bright side of the situation, though, is that it is very unlikely for the person who goes second to win anyways, so in a way she won, but that didn't make anything feel better. She placed her circle in the bottom left corner to block his diagonal line and handed the book back with a defeated look on her face. "Game over, it's going to be a tie." She let out a long, drawn out sigh. I should just stick to games that take a lot longer to play. Sure, she could play him again and possibly win if she went first, but it was the fact that she didn't win in a game she initiated that disappointed her.
