This basically means that Umbra doesn't really have a real shape or form, allowing her to grow, shrink, and manipulate herself to her liking provided the amount of shadows in the room are enough to do so. He eavesdrops on others and likes learning things he shouldn't. When he's caught, she plays it off with a grin and rarely apologizes.

He's a showman through and through, finding it thrilling to have all the attention on him but have no one know what he's doing. Or better yet, having them know what he's doing but unable to prove it. His love for the spotlight is bad enough that he disregards what he's actually supposed to be doing. His relationship with authority isn't lacking, but he doesn't purposely antagonize them.
