Jade Lightning (Like lightning but has a light jade color, the energy of jade lightning is more centralized allowing for higher precision and piercing but lower damage radius)
Attributes [2 Low, 2 Average, 1 High, 1 Excellent]
Strength: Average
Intelligence: High
Agility: Excellent
Dexterity: Average
Constitution: Low
Resilience: Low

Brief Backstory: Xiahou Dun was born to a small family located in a remote village along the mountainous River Yangtze, in the Wei Empire. While this village was not often visited and had a fairly small population, it was close to the legendary Yùlóng Zhàndòu Xuéxiào (Jade Dragon Combat School). This school is a specialized combat school that is hidden deep within the mountains. Here Xiahou spent his early years learning the Jade Dragon Combat Style from the monks of the school, growing his skill steadily. During his time at the school the Wei Empire began its decline, and with the succession of the new Child Emperor, political discord soon began.

The Empire quickly fell into chaos as various Warlords vied for control of the lands. The Warlord who had control over the Yangtze River Valley was weaker than his neighbors, and as such began a search for any trick to gain the upper hand. He soon arrived at the doorsteps of the School, and demanded the school to take in him and his strongest warriors for training in the legendary style. After three rejections, however, he became angry and attacked the school with a host of 5,000 warriors. After a long and hard battle the monks and their students, including Xiahou Dun, Repelled the raiders. The Warlord did not give up, and this time came with a host of 20,000 warriors. The battle lasted through three nights, and once the monks and their students were forced into the inner sanctuary, one gave the three tomes of the Jade Dragon Style to Xiahou Dun, and showed him a secret escape. Xiahou was to use this escape to retreat to a distant land, guard the tomes and keep them from entering the wrong hands, as well as to continue the style's legacy. After his escape he made his way to the West, where he soon arrived at the Adventurer's Guild, a place to herald his new beginning.

Weapons: Decorated Jian Sword (forged of a jade and steel mixture, very light and sharp)
Abilities: Single-handed swordsmanship mixed with combat style magic and martial arts is his expertise. His fighting style (Jade Dragon Style) is a very fast and fluid style, using the movement of the body to add power to attacks rather than brute strength.

The White Fire and Jade Lightning affinities are used for his combat style magic, which includes augmentations to his attacks as well as the ability to control energy/electricity, and fire in a 7 foot radius, allowing him to use techniques such as a lightning strike directed from his sword or fire slashes.

Name: Cyke Miragamo
Race: Human
Class: Scholar
Rank: Iron
Affinities:
Spirit (Mind)
Spirit (Body)

Attributes:
Strength: Average
Intelligence: Excellent
Agility: Low
Dexterity: Low
Constitution: Average
Resilience: High

Brief Backstory:
Growing up Cyke had always been considered a little odd by his fellow peers and family. While most spent their time outside playing with their friends Cyke usually held his head in a book becoming more and more fascinated with each page he read. It eventually became lust rather than fascination as the young man eventually became obsessed with knowledge. His constant studying obviously placed him first within his school and was even compared to many scholars at an early age.

While Cyke preferred to study in peace his findings eventually showed that some of the greatest scholars were killed due to their lack of fighting skills. He knew that simply becoming a scholar wouldn’t be good enough as he would need to learn how to protect himself. Though unlike his talent for intelligence, he had little skill in actual combat. He could barely fight and got put on his ass tons of times before he actually learned a simple technique. It wasn’t until an old monk stepped in and talked to him that he discovered his problem. He was so focused on fighting as a warrior that he wasn’t putting his intellect to use. He didn’t need to know tons of techniques and styles. He just needed to find away to outsmart his opponent and utilize a simple style that suited his nature. Which eventually became the defensive style of shield and sword.

Even despite his upcoming skills as an combatant the worry of death and supplies often worried him to where he needed a way to become protected, but also to obtain supplies to help in his research. He quickly realized that a guild would become the proper solution. A guild where he could put his full mind to usage while also being surrounded by fellow warriors to help him fight. This eventually led to the man joining the Adventurer’s guild and starting his new life as a guild member.

Weapons:

-Utilizes the classic shield and sword
-Rarely carries but does possess a bow with a set of arrows

Abilities: While he prefers not to resort to using violence he is quite skilled in utilizing the classic combination of the sword and shield. His entire style revolves around his heavily defensive nature using his intelligence to anticipate his opponents movements and fill the with an opening. He is also gifted with a silver tongue and tremendous intelligence to where he can basically get himself out of any dire situation and create numerous strategies on how to approach them. He has some talent in archery as well though he is nowhere near as skilled as some of his companions.

Cyke has devoted his talents to that of the mysterious spirit affinity applying both types to further increase his chances of knowledge and survival. He primarily focuses on raising his durability and senses to sustain himself during battle. Allowing him to sense incoming sneak attacks and survive attacks that would prove to be fatal in his normal state. He rarely increases his strength only doing so should heavy lifting be required and uses speed for catching someone one or simply running away.

Cyke is able to communicate with spirits on an impressive level given his young age. He finds these beings as books of knowledge and often requests to be thought the knowledge that was passed down to them. Cyke also utilizes this affinity to simply confirm his thoughts with these spirits. As a man who has created numerous theories and predictions he often finds himself looking for outside help from beings from the other side and often ask their opinions on these subjects.

While he does not know how to perform mind based attacks due to it’s ban from many years ago that has not stopped the young man from creating certain precautions should he run into any corrupt lawbreaker. Cyke has built his mind to become a heavy fortress granting him high resistance towards mental based attacks. This allows him to cover his teammates until the ability has worn off.

Name: Oleda Kalyre [Guild Clerk]
Race: Human
Class: Witch
Rank: Copper
Affinities:
fire_by_mad__machine-dcij40s.png
Fire: Red and Blue
special_by_mad__machine-dcij40a.png
Special: Soul [Forbidden]
Attributes
Strength: Low
Intelligence: Excellent
Agility: Low
Dexterity: High
Constitution: Average
Resilience: Average

Brief Backstory:
The wandering youngster appeared at the guild doorstep one day, promising aid in return for shelter. Cel, heavily understaffed and drowning in bureaucracy at the time, reluctantly accepted. Not much is known about the witch, except that if she isn't at the guild hall then she'll be tucked away in her room experimenting with some sort of concoction. She frequently issues collection missions to the members for materials she is in need of, the rewards being a part of whatever she's making at the time.

Apart from supplying general goods to the guild, she deals with member registration, finances and any dealings with the kingdom. Her workload is largely never-ending, and though she rarely participates on the battlefield, she is an integral part of the guild's operation.

Weapons: Whatever creation she has on her at the time.
Abilities: Oleda is a highly skilled crafter, particularly in regards to magical items. The most she's ever admitted to Cel of her history is that she learned potion brewing from her mother and the rest, she claims, she picked up along the way. Creations such as magic restraints, enchanted gathering knives and self-drawing maps are all within the scope of her ability. She also produces various goods, with varying degrees of legality, that can be used in combat or reconnaissance. But convincing her those are worth the effort would be the greater challenge.

Her fire and soul affinities both assist her crafting, but their application in combat remains largely untested. For those who've caught a glimpse of her residency on the second floor, it is filled with all manner of strange species she's hand-grown herself. However, many are valuable and under heavy enchantment, leading entry to be at the individual's peril.

Edit: changed her second affinity to soul, a very fickle and dangerous magic. It differs from spirit in that it allows her to control and tamper with the essence of a being, making it highly useful in enchantment. However, if the kingdom were to discover she not only possessed the ability, but openly practiced it, there would be hell to pay. She is registered as a spirit user to avoid suspicion.

Brief Backstory: Ariadne grew up in a rich house with a human father and a dragon mother. Being half-dragon in an all human school she was bullied and teased being called names but just brushed it off. She didn’t have many friends but the ones she did have helped her get through.

When she turned 17 she went out to explore the world. She would usually come across villages that had evil bandits so she got rid of them and helped the villagers. One day she traveled to a town that had thugs terrorizing the people of the town. She confronted them and drove them out of the town. Afterward, she heard some townspeople talking about the Adventurer’s Guild.

She went to check it out for herself and stayed there to make money and go on more quests to save more people and beat the bad guys.

Dark [cannot be used with light]:
Associated with shadows.

fire_by_mad__machine-dcij40s.png

Fire:
Controls fire.

Black: Only burns non-living things.

Attributes [2 Low, 2 Average, 1 High, 1 Excellent]
Strength: Average
Intelligence: Excellent
Agility: High
Dexterity: Low
Constitution: Low
Resilience: Average

Brief Backstory:
He comes from a royal family, oldest out of his three brothers and one sister and heir to the throne. Mavndrus was a fun-loving boy and loved to play with his siblings. But around the age of 10 was when his father made his studies become priority, he was then sectioned off from majority of the family including his mother. He spent most of his time trailing his father learning the duties of a king and learning how to use his magical skills. He had already nearly mastered his magic craft at the age of 17 which pleased his father. On his eighteenth birthday he was able to finally see his family and spend time with them but when he arrived to the manor and met his siblings he ask were his mother was. Turns out she died of sickness two years ago and his father had kept it secret from him. He hurried back to the kings castle to get revenge. He tried fighting his father but he was quickly shut down. His father told him that he didn't tell him because he didn't want it stunting his training. After that he and the king became distant he lived in his mothers Manor with his brothers and sister until one day he decided to put his skills to use and join s guild, thought it would be fun and also anger his father

Weapons: Mav had this staff handcrafted and embed with the power to enhance his magic ability by 30% most of the time though the staff is just used for show and matches many of his outfit and jewelry that also have magical properties. He isn't too bad with a bow either.
Abilities: Mav has an uncanny connection to the darkness (Shadows Hardening, Shadow transportation, Shadow control) He was born with magical talent and learning to wield it was forced upon him in his household. Along with being able to control the shadows he has the ability to control Dark Fire, a special ability passed down in his family Allowing him to burn through almost any solid object as he progresses it with training. He is very agile for a mage, his father made sure he trained his body as well as his mind so if he is ever in a pinch escaping and getting the high ground wouldn't be a problem. As for his red fire, He hasn't trained with it specifically mainly because it was inferior to his black fire. But he can incase his body in red fire as sort of a defense move if he feels his enemy is getting too close

Class: Lancer
Rank: Iron

Affinities:

Dark
spirit_by_mad__machine-dcij403.png
Spirit [Mind]

Attributes:
Strength: Low
Intelligence: Average
Agility: High
Dexterity: Average
Constitution: Excellent
Resilience: Low

Brief Backstory:
Lilia was born in the dry, arid regions of the world. She had always been rather tall and beautiful, thankful for her mother's more human genes. She grew up as a performer for the wealthy in her region, though the desert was rather large-- And that meant lot's of traveling. She was blessed with a dark affinity, which she used to make her performances much more exotic, which gave her more income.
Though, as popular belief, most rich men aren't the nicest. After some abuse she committed an act of homicide on an older man, who had violated her. Of course, this made her flee the region and travel the world more freely. Which she enjoyed immensely. She often found the fear of others exhilarating, and while on the road--Many lives turned miserable when the woman came into their town, kingdom, and even regions.
As more people became miserable, they also became intelligent and knowledgeable of her misdeeds. This made her [Begrudgingly] stop most of her use of forbidden mind magic. As soon as she did this and went back to just using her dark affinity, she learned how to use it to it's full potential. This made her, of course, a bit cocky in her own abilities. She then traveled to the largest kingdom she had ever seen, the kingdom of Dawn.
Soon she began to notice what the guards and even most of the kingdom despised, a small guild. She thought it was going to be the most fun adventure she ever had, quickly going to join the guild. That was a few months ago, and now she usually relaxes in the guild hall in a quiet corner, since she hates working with others. She refuses to share anything about her past, except that she was born from a Giant father and has a mother--Along with the fact that she was born in the desert.

Weapons:
Her trusty lance, which was originally bedazzled for the stage. Though a visit to the blacksmith easily fixed that.
Nails, She'll never admit it--But a scratch from her can feel like a dagger.

Abilities:
She uses her dark affinity to walk among the shadows, rather than control them. This gives into more of the fear factor, along with having a few moments of invincibility in the shadows. [Exception to users with the light affinity, which--Ouch.]

She uses her soul ability to manipulate the minds of her opponents. Emotions along with suggesting actions, it makes a horrifying combination when combined with her dark affinity. She has a tendency to make her opponents go insane with their mistakes of the past, along with what will inevitably happen in the future.

She has an amazing aerobic form, and usually uses what most people would refer to gymnastics in her fighting. That paired with her Lance, makes for a devastating duo.
Her pity for others is at an all time low, though there is always exceptions. [Cough Cough, Pretty Girls]

brief backstory.
A traitorous servant who cruelly massacred his own master’s family—or so the rumors say. When confronted, he’ll assure that “rumors will be rumors” with a childish smile. However, a fierce presence in his eyes suggests that neither explanation tells the whole story.

Originally a slave-turned-servant, the last household he had been bought into was a rather strange one. Raised with the harsh ideology that he was born without rights, the seven-year-old Khiriel didn’t think much of being assigned as the playmate and personal guard to the Enfield’s only daughter, the five-year-old Elise. It only took another two days for the shock to manifest. He had already questioned leaving an important family member’s protection to a mere slave, yet not only did they pay him with proper meals, but they also trained and offered him a salary like any other servant under their employment.

Elise, perhaps, had the largest effect on his personality. While playfully demanding that he always remain smiling, she treated him as she would a friend. Naturally, considering their positions, she would take a handful of opportunities to act selfish and was demanding at times, but she never took things too far. Many days consisted of exasperated chasing after the young lady who seemed to love getting into all sorts of trouble, yet it was also those days that he found to be the most enjoyable in their own right. However, those tranquil moments ended as abruptly as they had appeared.

Having been entrusted by Elise’s father with an important delivery, the last thing Khiriel had expected when he returned was the bloody scene that painted the manor. He couldn’t even react when he was detained as a prime suspect due to being “conveniently” away at the time of the crime.

Fortunately, there wasn’t enough conclusive evidence for him to be judged as guilty. However, that in itself was not important to Khiriel. It was impossible for him to rest at peace without finding the true mastermind behind the murder of the Enfields. Nothing would absolve him from his sin of being unable to protect what he had been supposed to keep safe, but even if it were petty, he wished for revenge regardless. It was the least he could do. But to do so, he needed information, and information costed money.

Only a guild could offer the best of both worlds...

weapons.
spellslinger, sword

abilities.
Raised as a personal guard through and through, if an issue can be resolved peacefully, then there’s no need to be hot-blooded. That isn’t to say that the sword and gun at his waist are mere decorations.

Though originally trained purely in swordsmanship, an interest in magic led him to pursue the studies of magic swordsmen during his free time. Unfortunately, while casting wasn’t an issue, his control over the concentration of the magical force was something he found low aptitude in. Innovation, however, is key, and he soon developed a method to aid his wayward magic with the help of his special affinity which he would later title “Arcane Bullet.”

At its base, his special affinity somewhat allows him to harness a more “raw” form of magical energy which can be channeled through his specially constructed magic gun, firing a shot that, when hit, leaves a scorching or numbing sensation comparable to that of the lightning affinity. Additionally, these shots can be infused with other affinities that Khiriel is compatible with (currently only red fire) as an alternative way to “cast” said spells with similar effects.

With this odd dual-wield style of a sword and gun, Khiriel is a mid-ranged specialist who has no qualms over keeping his distance or closing in on his opponent. At the same time, this makes him a “jack of all trades” of sorts, making him outclassed in terms of range and pure firepower compared to true mages and typically less skilled than consistent close combatants. His other weaknesses lie in that he’s not capable of taking much of a beating for a mid-ranged combatant and lacks a large variety of spell shots, but he’s been improving on them…hopefully.

Note: Khiriel’s guns are actually unable make use of ordinary gunpowder and bullets, making them essentially useless in the hands of those who do not share his combative style.

Note (2): Though he’s ambidextrous, his sword is always in his left while his gun in his right out of necessity. As a creature of severe habits, switching hands will likely result in his breaking of his gun by swinging it instead of firing it. He learned this the hard way, unfortunately.

Attributes:
Strength: Low
Intelligence: Excellent
Agility: Average
Dexterity: High
Constitution: Average
Resilience: Low

Brief Backstory:
It should be noted that Noir doesn't remember much of his original elven village nor his family. He often wonders what kind of bloodline he was a part of. Whether it was royal blood or not. But, he does remember he's been raised by a human named, Elizabeth Reignheart; a genius librarian. Elizabeth took Noir under her wing when he was on the library doorsteps. She taught Noir plenty of things, being his teacher and mother; reading, writing, cooking, medicine, etc. As he grew up, Noir became a bookworm. He was able to read magic books at adolescence, capable of great vocabulary, and learned about survival and hunting.

However, he was raised in a northern village filled with only humans. Ignorant Being the outlier, Noir wasn't treated as their equal with the exception of his foster mother. Frequently, he was bullied and harassed by both children and adults. Elizabeth taught him how to hide his elven ears and any resemblance of any elven looks with magic, making him appear human. Noir was pretty weak so he didn't have the strength to fight back, even though he was told he shouldn't fight back. On his own time, he studied both strategy and fighting while hunting in the woods. Often trapping animals and practicing his own skills

Fast forward in time, Noir was unlucky enough to be seen as an Elf and framed for a crime he didn't commit. With Elizabeth's help, he was gifted with a Khopesh, money, and a way to find another village. From then on, Noir became a vagabond with no way back. Traveling from place to place, Noir learned how to steal swiftly and trick people; he had no choice, it was his own survival.

With money running low and tired of traveling, he learned about a guild. Namely, the Adventurer's Guild. Curiosity led him to it and joined the guild, feeling quite happy about it.

Weapons: A Khopesh accompanied by a bow and bundles of arrows.

Abilities: Noir's capable of thinking fast and processes information quickly. He's taught himself swordfighting, archery, and memorization. He usually relies on his Dark Affinity to get things done; his weapons are used when the situation calls for it, like close combat or long range. He learned how to fool people with tricks and illusion with no magic at all. He doesn't use much of his Spirit (Body) Affinity as he relies on mind games and strategy to beat his opponents.

Name: Cryus Rane
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 24
Class: Rouge/Gunner
Rank: Copper
Affinities: Wind
Appearance:
5e2916225e7811251ba50bbe70b65486.jpg

Attributes:
Strength: Average
Intelligence: Low
Agility: Average
Dexterity: High
Constitution: Excellent
Resilience: Low

Personality: What most people would say about Cryus is to be a large mixture of humbleness, pure kind-heartedness, and jolly good humor. Able to steal the hearts of many at a whim using his admirable looks and captivating talents (Mostly on the young females that were in the area anyway). He is perceived by the people as this gentleman like hero who swoops down from nowhere in order to save the day. Passionate yet daring. Intelligent but wise. A proper adventurer.

Of course.... that's what most people would have said. The truth tells a completely different chapter. But not all of what was just mentioned was entirely false.

For a better understanding of Cryus, one of the things that you need to know about him is that is a musician/adventurer. A musicventure if you will. Well... closer to an upcoming one. It was a job title that combined the two things he loved more than anything in the world. Playing music and adventuring out in the free hostile-ish world. How that came to pass is another story for another day. Aside from that, he is known to be quite passionate about his profession. More so than what most people would typically believe. Although his young age and inexperience causes him to be a diamond in the rough. He is a self-interest individual that regards himself first before anyone else. Occasionally lie or cheat to get out of a situation or win an easy gamble. He is a realist that will avoid incredible danger that is way above his paygrade, but will stop to turn back and face it if it was required for everyone's sake. He enjoys being the flashy type of adventurer who makes a dramatic entrance every place he entered and attempts to fend off as many foes that comes his way. He goes as far as to act like the big shot around folks to increase his questionable reputation and feed his ever growing ego. But none of that comes close to his unusual and even sometimes jaw-dropping plans that pretty much ignored everything else around him. Arguably his plans would sometimes be brilliantly innovative on his part.

For not his imperfections and misdeeds he wouldn't be the type of person that would have limitless ambitions for his goals, a fun and good sense of nature, debatable charisma, and the capability to challenge the world around him. His great love for music is often seen when he spends the majority of his free time singing songs and playing on his lute for those around him or up alone in the tall trees. He has a sense of humor and will often try to lighten up the mood. He greatly enjoys being around nature and prefers to be outside whenever the opportunity arrives. But likewise fancies being indoors as well. Especially if it was nice and warm. He hopes that his ambitions will be fulfilled one day when the whole world recognized him as the greatest musician who ever lived or a hero to be remembered for generations to come. Perhaps maybe both.

Hopefully, that is. But who truly knows?

Skills/Abilities: Apart from playing the lute, Cryus's skills consist from his early childhood. Apart from not knowing how to swing a sword skillfully and shooting his father's pistol once, he is relatively stealthy and does a quite good job staying out of sight. Spending a lot of his time in the wilderness he has a skill in personal knowledge. Such as knowing how to do a range of things from finding edible food and water to building shelter using nothing but sticks and leaves on the ground. He also has decent acrobatics to help him get around in a hurry. Pretty good being around animals, only those that aren't trying to kill him and everyone else. He has a couple more minor skills that aren't worth mentioning but to know that he's ok-ish at them. Apparently also knows to pick locks for some reason. Huh...
Also has no clue how to use his wind affinity.

Equipment:
•Sword - A common steel blade. Not much is unique about the weapon other than it's handle being slightly different than the rest.
•Dagger - A small blade of 6 inches. Handy for concealment and getting close to foes.
•Blunderbuss - Considered to be his greatest weapon. The firearm is a short, large caliber barrel capable of spewing out medium sized rounds of hot iron into most things its way. Takes a bit of time to reload after each shot.
•Bombs - A set of five black bombs usually carried in his leather bag. To light the fuse the small piece of rope attached on the top of the bomb must have a source of flame. The timer can range briefly to 3-5 seconds. Can create a big boom and can be easily thrown with enough strength.
•Twenty Gold Coins - Coins carried in a small pouch. Mainly used to hold payment from jobs or from his side business.
•Leather Travelling Bag - A medium sized leather bag that has a single strap to wrap around the wearer. Perfect for all kinds of terrain and weather. Holds up to a limited number of items.
•Fask - A flask that generally holds water or other types of liquid. Sometimes rarely used to carry ale. Holds about 4 ounces.
•Loaf of whole wheat bread - Freshly baked whole wheat bread.

Background: There wasn't much for a kid who lived in a small village, away from the luxuries of the capital city. The concept of living your whole life on a farm was just about the norm for most folk. Never able to see just beyond the endless plains of grass and trees that surrounded the little village.

Cryus had grown up a tad bit different from everybody else. Being youngest in the family to an older sister of one, he was parented by Theodwin Rane and Viessa Beimoira. Their family had been farmers by trade, with the exception of his mother working as the local teacher. They weren't poor or rich by any standards but just well off enough to get by with food on the table. His father was a hardworking man who did everything in his power to make ends meet. He believed that dedication and unwavering endurance was what built true men. Day and night he worked out in the field. Most times the family wouldn't see him for a large portion of the day from an early breakfast till later in the evening when dinner was served. Other times they would catch him taking a small break by smoking a pipe or at the local tavern chatting up with strangers and drinking hard liquor. It took a lot to get that man properly drunk.

His mother, on the other hand, had spent most of her time both at the school and home. She spent considerable more time raising her loveable children. She was by far Cryus's favorite. Unfortunately, his sister, Valerie sought otherwise and instead looked up to their father as a role model. Cryus couldn't understand her reasoning. He personally disliked his father. He felt that he'd spent more time working than spending time with his own children. His sister argued however that unlike their mother, their father looked to care their well being through using nothing but his own perseverance, sacrificing everything for the entire good of the family. This became more parallel to her way of thinking in the later future. And with that, their differences started to crack a division that caused the two to slowly become bitter rivals.

For the next several years the two would be pitted against one another in a series of unofficial challenges. Each sibling would try to outdo the other in any sort of traditional fashion. Being who could eat their meal the fasts, who could reach the village center the quickest, or even who could hold their breath the longest. The amount of idiocy or reasoning didn't really matter to them. This brewing of spitefulness and jealousy soon caught onto the rest of the village with friends and nearby neighbors getting involved by taking one of the two sides. This then leads to official competitions and bets that separated into separate teams to see which family member or individual was the best. As the rivalry continued to grow, so did the events. Eventually, it became a yearly traditional festival of the village to see which team would win the prize of braggers rights and a small pool of cash. Everybody was getting involved and the hype was building. The event was then soon called "The Blue And Green Festival" representing each team as blue and green respectfully.

And while this had been going on, Cryus spent a lot of time walking through town and getting into mischief with his friends. Unfairly betting against those who were dumb enough to accept their devious games just for a quick buck, or walk by the bakery to steal any goodies that Mr. Jacob left over for the animals to eat. And if there was nothing to do in town, they visited the forest and played there. Cryus loved the forest. It was easily his favorite part of the day. Whenever he had a chance, he would climb up one of the tallest hills and sit at the top that looked over the town below with hint of excitement and wonder on his face. After the millionth time seeing that same view it always put a smile on his face. Although... he was becoming a bit little sad. Looking out to the edge of that long grassy plain. Something inside him fell apart. It was his dream to leave his village behind and explore the world. More than anything. He knew that it just wasn't time yet. But soon he would be ready.

The rest of his childhood and late teens had gone largely uneventful other than he tried to woo one of his childhood crushes which happened to be the local blacksmith's daughter. Which also happened to be the same place where he was working a part-time job to earn some cash. By the end of it, she rejected him, she told her father, a lengthy lectured was involved, barred from seeing her again, and finally fired from his job. Woops. Turns out singing at night outside her window was an overall bad move. Who knew? After the whole ordeal news quickly traveled around town and there was no one left who didn't know the tale. Even his dear sister learned of the disaster and soon held the memory over his head for the rest of his days. The nickname "Music Lover Boy" lingered for months before becoming an official title. Thankfully only within town. God knows if the rest of the world knew about the affair. But even with this embarrassment of a title and odd looks from the local girls, it hadn't completely deterred him from achieving his ambitions. He would later learn to spare with one of the town guards who Cyrus helped win back his fortunes after a sneaky game of cards. While he wasn't the best of learners, he had gained something out of it. Other skills he acquired were off of natural talent or were mimicked with a quick glance or two. He learned to survive in the forest after he got lost in a hunting trip. And also "accidentally" found out what black power does. Another story for the books. The point was, he was growing up.

During around one hot summer though, things began to change life in the village. Their mother became unknowingly ill and succumbed to a high fever. Her condition worsed as the day's passed regardless of the number of doctors that examined her and the mediocre medicine given. Nothing seemed to improve. And by early fall she died. Grieve and regret shook the Rane family. Their sadness hindered their state of minds for months as it quickly transformed into a range of emotions. His close friends soon found themselves distant from Cryus as he avoided most human interactions from his usual day to day life. And while he seemed happy and humored on the outside, they could tell that it wasn't with the same enthusiastic and absurdness that they come to know and love. Rather they would find him relying on hiding himself from the outside world. Though his personality recovered after a bit of time.

And it was then at the age of 23 that he decided that he would leave his village life behind. No longer reminiscing the struggles he endured and living the life he envisioned back when he was a child. Packing up his things and making his heartfelt goodbyes, he left to walk the grassy fields he often found himself one day walking and gave one last sorrowful look to everyone who gathered to see him off. Without another word, he was gone.

Name: Charlotte “Lotte” Leroux
Race: Human
Class: Fencer/Rogue
Rank: Copper
Affinities: Weapon conjuration - The ability to manifest weapons seemingly out of thin air.

Attributes
Strength: High
Intelligence: Low
Agility: Excellent
Dexterity: Average
Constitution: Average
Resilience: Low

Brief Backstory:
Lotte was born to a large family of merchants with an extensive and notable history in the leather trade. While it was generally lesser known, they also maintain a tradition of enlisting in the military, beginning training at a young age to ensure their ability regarding control and usage of their affinities and general high aptitude when it comes to martial skill.

Lotte grew up in the shadow of two older brothers, and while it was generally frowned upon by her family but not entirely scorned, she took part in their training sessions as soon as she was able and the trio could often be seen running the city on adventures of their own making.

When her eldest brother came of age, despite not wishing to, he joined the military. In part it was for the sake of his family, in particular his siblings because while their family weren’t completely against the idea of any one of them joining the Adventurer’s Guild on account of the fact that adventurer’s need leather goods too and their coin was just as good as anyone else’s - there was still the general stigma that surrounded the idea and he wanted to try and keep attention away from the fact. Lotte’s middle brother followed on much the same path, choosing to take up the reigns of helping uphold the family name in the leather empire instead of joining the Adventurer’s Guild. This last task was left to their younger sister who was now charged with the duty of joining in their stead as the three had always planned, her goal: to make a name for herself and earn renown for her family beyond that of leather goods while hopefully shining a better light on the guild and definitely experiencing enough adventure for herself and her brothers back home.

Weapons: Crossbow, rapier, dagger, caltrops, main gauche

Abilities:
Hand-to-hand - While those born with Leroux blood tend to have a greater affinity for weapon conjuring than any other, it cannot be said that calling forth a weapon can be done without the proper focus. With this fact in mind, Leroux children begin their training with unarmed combat to ensure that they are always able to defend themselves.

Fencing - Lotte is truly an elegant creature despite her rough and bratty exterior. A slender rapier with accompanying back up weapon are where she excels when it comes to armed combat. She was classically trained in the use of the blade though she never did without a potential opponent because of her propensity for getting in fights.

Knife fighting - Not being as expert in wielding the knife as she is the sword, Lotte never goes anywhere without at least one dagger on her person. It is considered a backup should she ever lose her main and be in dire need and it is also useful for the various mischief she and her brothers often found themselves in and that she would likely find herself in in the future.

Crossbow - Lotte is not the most adept at wielding this weapon and it is more so something she keeps should she need to hit something that is too far away for her to accurately hit with her knife.

Climbing/parkour - Part of the Leroux children’s daily games involved races through the city and this meant winning by any means possible so long as they didn’t cause harm to anyone. Lotte was the most agile between the siblings and she never missed a chance of taking advantage of this fact.

Enchanted weapons - The Leroux family are not particularly magically inclined. While it’s not to say that they have no aptitude for magic affinity, when it comes to most of them, their skill could only be termed weak. The Leroux line tends to only excel when it comes to Earth magic and variations of it. This has lead many of them to take up training in the manifestation of weapons that are drawn from the very earth beneath their feet. While the lesser attuned can barely make a blade with an edge, those that have become exceedingly adept in the art are able to not only create a well-honed blade, but also enchant it.

While Lotte has not yet reached the level of enchanted blades, she is capable of crafting multiple blades at a time and most of the time they are fit for battle. The weapons do not wield themselves but she is capable of arming a small party of comrades.

( Sylph Sylph so this is a shortened form of her original incarnation. I can lengthen it or shorten it or add more info about her abilities, which there are more things I could put but I decided to stick with mostly battle ready things. xD just let me know!)

Name: Luech Traxin

Race: Human

Class: Mercenary

Rank: Copper

Affinities:
Spirit (body)
Fire (Red and Purple)

Attributes:
Strength: High
Intelligence: Average
Agility: Low
Dexterity: Excellent
Constitution: Average
Resilience: Low

Brief Backstory: Luech was born into lesser noble family, living in relative comfort and fortitude. His father was captain of the Kings Guard, so he was taught the way of the blade as early as he could walk. His mother - a defensive magic user - introduced him to basic counters against the mystical arts, but his heart always belonged to his sword, which he grew proficient with and quickly rose through the ranks of the Guard.
By his early adulthood, Luech had inherited his fathers position as captain and was celebrated for his natural swordsmanship.
However, the Kings Guard was not nearly as heart-racing as he imagined. He and his men would spent hours idly guarding doors or escorting members of the court with no real threats to match. Bored and unfulfilled, Luech became lax, even leaving shifts early to practice his steel or indulge in taverns.
However, one night he left his station early, and returned to find the bloodied body of the heir to the Throne, killed due to his sloth. For fear of discovery, Luech abandoned his kingdom and sought refuge in neighbouring lands, where he employs himself as a hired mercenary, killing or protecting people for the right price.
Left without love or honor, Luech’s life became a game of steel and gold.

Weapons: A large silver bastard sword forged into a diamond cross-section. The black hilt has a scratched insignia and his held in an tall, threatening stance to deter foes.

Abilities: Luech is adept with purple flames, and has studied counter-magic attack strategies. He also uses flames to heat his sword, or scorch enemies in hand-to-hand combat. He combines feinting and overwhelming force to cut down enemies with surgical precision.
