Mikayla is described to had short, blond hair and soft blue eyes. She is 5'9" with a healthy body. She might be seen as "skinny" at times, but people tend to exaggerate in describing her. Nowadays, she dresses in a formal style, but she'd go with a more comfortable and laid-back kind of clothes around the people she's used to. She is also always walking with a smile on her face.

Taking a deep breath, she tried to calm herself down. Everything was going to be okay. Besides, she had time until they'd meet up. It wasn't even going to be today, so why stress about it? "It's going to be alright," she reminded herself.

His dirty blond hair is mostly combed over, somewhere at the beginning of the day. But by the time the clock hits noon he has ran his hand through it so many times it makes it tousled. He looks young, and hasn't changed all that much in appearance compared to his Highschool self. His honey colored eyes have lost their shy and insecure look, and now are mostly fierce and determinded. His unimpressive height of 5'8" completes his child like look. Underneath the clothes he is more toned that someone would expect him to be, seen his job as psychologist. However he makes a point of it to hit the gym every day in order to clear his mind from the cases and make sure they don't haunt him at home. His clothing style is mostly simple, jeans and a button down shirt when he is at home. But once he leaves his home he is dressed in suits and knows how to carry himself. Something that nevers seems to fade from his features is his laugh, unless he is concentrated on a case. Determination will show his true age, when he is bowed down over files or thinking about his clients conversation. Most of the times he just looks like an easy going guy and there is no trace of his harsh work or past in his features to show.

Personality:

He always has a smile on his face, mostly even without noticing. He likes to help people, but he wants to be challenged. He may seem sweet and innocent, but he has been through more than you might think. He bottles up his emotions and hardly ever gives his true opinion. HHe has a hard time denying peoples requests and will always try to meet them if it is possible. He will always tell the truth when the rare occasions comes up that he is talking about himself. Yet he can lie through his teeth without showing any sign of it. He likes to bend the truth a little, which of course comes from his profession and the questionable cases he has worked with.

Hurt him and he will shrug it off as if it is nothing, yet he will never forget. Words can stay for all eternity on his mind, and he does not forgive easily. If you hurt him physically, he will most likely moan or laugh at the pain. Yes, he likes pain... a lot... if it is inflicted on him. He will not dare to hurt himself, on purpose that is, and he will not forgive himself for hurting someone else. Hurt the people he loves, and you will have the rare sight of seeing an angry and protective Quin. When angered, he will play upon your weaknesses and break you mentally, rather than physically. He knows that he does not have the physical strength to do such thing, but then again... those wounds will heal. Mental scars, they stay forever...

Of course with his job comes a nice pay. He likes to be dressed up sharp, but he isn't a materialistic guy at all. His main goal is to help people, make them trust him. He will never let a word pass his lips once it is spoken to him as a secret. He cares deeply for people and if you ask for his help, he will do anything he can to help you. He is a good listener and a good observer, due to his job he can also read people.

After graduation he went to Law School and got his lawyer degree in four years. He worked as a lawyer for some years, but he had a hard time defending those he knew were guilty. By chance, he got part of a team that worked on a serial rapist case and gotten into contact with some of his victims. He found himself more willing to help those people and they confided information to him they had not told anyone else. That is how he was offered a place of the SVU team. He went back to school, graduately changing his profession and is now for the past three years official the psychologist on the team. He has recently been on the television even with some break-through cases and sometimes gives guest colleges at schools when he finds the time.

Socially he has been investing a lot of time in his work and schooling, so he has dated every now and then. However most durable relationships ended, because his work was always number one on his mind. He would still like to find someone to spend time with, but he loves his job also. He knows he will have to compromise eventually, but he can not turn his back on the people that need his help. That might be the reason he arranged this meet-up, using his connection as both a lawyer and psychologist to find out the new adresses and everything of the people that once were his friends.

Personality:

He was a silent boy, who hardly talked about himself (something that hasn't changed much). He needed a lot of time to open to people, but those who stuck through it, had made a friend for life. At times he could be quite naive, due to not keeping up with the trends and everything. He was a good listener and always paid attention to the classes. He liked to help those that needed it, be it with tutoring or giving them notes. Yet he had a hard rule to never let any one cheat of him, to the dismay of some.

He wasn't really a party animal, but would never turn down an invitation to (small) group events. He always seemed to avoid his home, and never invited anyone at his own place. People thought he was weird for using his surname as his real name, but most gotten used to it. He never got into many fights, unless it was to protect his friends and then the more nasty side of his personality came up. He knew a lot of rumors and used them to break other students or make some stinging comments so they would leave him or his friends alone.

He had tried his luck with girls, but most of them saw him as the cute little brother. The times he did went further with girls, didn't really seem to faze him like he heard the other boys talk about. His first time with a male had happened quite random, it had been a dare. And that was also the moment he figured out his sexuality. Though he was not ashamed of being attracted to males, he had a hard time staying put with someone, due to his insecurity or the others insecurity. His highschool relationships were never long lasting, mostly consisted only of a quick hook up in the Library or behind school. Both with girls and boys, on which he hardly made the first move.

He had always wanted to go to Law school and become one of the biggest and most famous lawyers.

Background:

He is born from an herion addicted whore. His father? Probably her pimp or some of the other guys she had between her legs. From the moment he had been born his life had been a struggle and he had to fight for his survival. It is a miracle he has lived to see the end of it. He had quickly learned to be indepent and take care of his mother, since she was in no state to take care of him. He never really got anything back for it as she would not hesitate to use him in any way possible to get to her beloved herion. As a child he had already learned to inject the drug in her veins, when she herself was not able to. He was a smart kid, always able to find solutions even in the seemingly faithless life he had. His schooling? Thanks to his looks and the way he could play people with his big honey puppy eyes. That and the fact that the school principal had probably some things to keep covered up, like the ongoing affair with his mother.

At the age of 17, his mother was shot dead in cold blood by her pimp. Their house burned down to ashes, as the pimp could not find her son. He escaped the flames, but a burning mark on his left wrist was the only silent reminder of that day. He had managed to keep himself alive on the streets for a few days, before a rich, childless, couple had taken him in. A lawyer and his wife, whom paid for his further schooling and send him happily of to Law School. Impossible and difficult cases became his specialty, cases no other lawyer would ever take. His name, both famous and infamous at court. He knew how to twist juries around, how to use evidence in his, or better said his clients, benefit. He seemed not to care for the things that were confessed to him, as long as he could solve the puzzle and get out an as low as possible sentence, or better yet no sentence at all. Yet this started to conflict with his personality, a lot. It clashed hard, so he was happy with the oppertunity he saw and was offered when he became part of a team that went after a serial rapist. He spoke to some of his victims and found himself more suitable for such a job. He went back to the University to study psychology and that is how he became a permanent member of the SVU.

Being so busy with this schooling and his job he had no time for love. He had no time to meet up with girls, or women, to go clubbing. Not that he missed it really. He liked to spend time alone, on his own. Sometimes colleagues would ask him to bars and he would go reluctantly. Girls mostly liked him for the innocent look he held, they saw him as the little brother that needed protection. He was quite a wingman for his colleagues, yet he himself rarely got lucky. He knew he had never been attracted to solely women, due to highschool, but he had started to question it again. It took one male to show him that he should not question himself. One male and a hot steamy night in the back of one of the clubs, before the male disappeared from his fingertips as quickly as they had found eachother. He had not even known the name of this perfect stranger, yet he had seemed vaguely familiar. He started going to gay bars and that helped with his lonely life, though most relationships didn't last long as his work was always important. And the times they called in with new cases were often very random.

One leg was bend under his body, while the other hung freely to the ground. A book was resting on his lap, his honey eyes moving constantly to follow the words. He seemed to be completely oblivious to the world around him and to be honest he was. He was absorbed into the pages, reading about a Dragon Rider and his struggle to win the war. He turned a page, another chapter done and he sat back up straight. The young male ran a hand through his hair and looked around him through the almost desolated library. It was almost as if he had gone back in time, reading some fantasy book in the library like back then, back in high school, and he knew his looks would not betray the fact that he had not been there in almost ten years. He smiled to himself, though it was a rare sight to see him without a smile.

A ping sounded, while at the same time the phone deep in his pocket vibrated. He held one finger between the pages as he moved forward, opening up the mini laptop. Those devices were the only things that showed the chance he had been through, since in High School years there had been no money to buy such things. His free hand swiftly moved over the mousepad and he clicked on the mail icon to see what was written to him. Emily Rose Everson was the subject and the smile grew. His eyes went over the address that was written down, apparently she had married and that is why it had been hard to track her down. Thanks, Mike. I owe you one. The message was quickly written back to the Captain of their SVU team. He pulled up the letter he had already written some time back.

Dear old friend,

Yes, we are old friends. A bit more than 10 years ago we were inseparable, or at least our little clique of friends was. I would like to relive those years and see where everybody ended up. That is why I am inviting you (and of course the others) to a weekly stay at the Mercer Island Mansion. Don’t worry, everything is paid for all you need to do is bring some clothes and join us in the nostalgia.

Included to the letter was the picture of the mansion, with of course the address and the security code for the gate and the garage. He had chosen 2005 as a code, the year of their graduation. He had purposely not chosen to have them write back. Everyone was welcome and at the mansion they would see whom was able to come and whom wasn’t. Quinton could only hope for the best as he got up to print the letters. He signed each of them by hand, before putting them in envelope. His handwriting was neatly, unlikely for a doctor, but wanted from a lawyer. In both profession he was active now, though he rarely took up cases as a lawyer. He just had not been able to throw away that title, since he had worked hard to achieve it. Most cases he took now where Pro Deo cases, people who couldn’t afford a lawyer yet needed defence in court.

He checked several times if he had gotten all the addresses without any mistakes, before shutting of his laptop. With the envelopes in his hand, the laptop bag over his shoulder and car keys in the other hand, he left the library behind. It was time to drive to Mercer Island, he had one week to prepare for the arrival of his guests, and he had no idea how many would come. It would sure be interested seeing everyone back and right now, he had no idea if he was excited or nervous. He took a deep breath as he stopped down the street, quickly posting the invitations, before getting back into his Porsche and drive home. Now, there was no way back. Hopefully he would not be the only one at the Mansion.

Appearance:

His black hair is just as unruly as the boy itself. Nothing can tame these wild half long strands that give the boy a look like he just stepped out of his bed. When he has to dress up he will try to comb them backwards, but even the strongest gel will only have a few minutes, with luck a little hour, hold on the locks, before they go their own way again. His eyes are a shade of very dark brown and you can always see a twinkle of amusement, tease or mischief in them. Even at the darkest moment you will hardly see this young male without a smile on his face. His eyes can plead innocent, while his actions speak the opposite and his puppy dog eyes have moved even the coldest hearts before.

His build is lean and muscular. He stand around 6’ to 6’1”, giving him the perfect view on smaller girls and low cut tops, something he likes to abuse. The muscular build comes from working out two to three times a week in the gym and having parkour as a (secret) hobby, which makes him very fast and agile also. His skin is sunkissed from being outside most of the time and being shirtless as he has the feeling those fabrics restrict him too much. However besides his sometimes intimidating build he likes to hug more than to fight with others.

His clothing style is mostly simple. He doesn’t really care for the latest fashion . As long as his clothes are clean it is good, right? Like mentioned before he dislikes wearing a shirt, so he mostly moves around in (torn) jeans and simple Vans or DC’s or something similar. Though it can occasionally happen that you spot him wearing a buttoned down shirt, though it will probably hang open and loosely from his shoulders. However he does have a few expensive suits, yet he feel unnatural and uncomfortable in them.

Personality:

Though he has calmed down a bit compared to his Highschool years, he still likes to cause trouble. He is still the outgoing boy, that always tries to push his own boundaries and those of others. He hates to be limited, whether that is by relationships or rules. He is stubborn and will not easily give up if he wants something. This makes his relationships a sort of more long lasting nowadays, yet mostly he is still looking for just some fun and not something that will tie him down. He is very happy to have escaped his old life and now finally be free. This is probably a second reason, he seems to be more responsible now. The first being the most important thing is his life, his little daughter. She goes before anything in his life and he will protect her no matter what. His softer side shines through now most of the time. He cares a lot for his little 'family'. Though he and the mother of his daugther are not together anymore, they have a good understanding relationship.

He has become more sensitive in a way. He know thinks before his speaks, most of the time. Furthermore he has the freedom to use his artistic skill, which has calmed him down a lot. There is no-one nagging him to change constantly, which makes him less like to retaliate in a bad way. You have to be careful if you push him into a certain way of being, because then the old Sky might just return and trash everything. However this does not mean you have to walk on eggshells around him. Just don't try to change him and everything is fine.

Life is just a joke, afterall no one is gonna make it out alive is still the motto he lives by. This means that he just follows his interests, his dreams as long as he can. He thinks about the consequences of his actions, yet if he feels like going somewhere, he will just go. If he feels like doing this, he will do that. His biggest fear is being stuck somewhere and though he knows he has responsibilities and he will life up to them, he doesn't want to lose his freedom ever again and he is happy that the mother of his child understands that.

He has his own garage, where he tunes up cars. He is mostly responsible for the paintjobs, yet he knows the mechanical stuff also. On the side he has a little tattoo shop.

Past:

After graduating from Highschool at the age of 18 the first thing he did was leave the Vuori family. He legally disowned himself by taking up his fathers name and moving back to his dad's place. His father was a car mechanic and from him he learned the job more or less. Despite the good grade average, he didn't feel like going to college or uni and just took over his fathers garage bit by bit. His love for drawing had never stopped and after two years he finally dragged his ass back to school and got his Art-Degree despite all the trouble he had caused. At school he run into a girl and they had a good time together. They understood the freedom they both needed and well, maybe that caused them to eventually decide to official have a relationship. They dated for a year and suddenly Samantha ended up pregnant. Against most odds they stayed together and Skygge even proposed, a few months after their baby girl had been born. Roughly half a year little things started to go bad, they were fighting more and more over the silliest things. Eventually they decided to call off the wedding, which caused a lot of stress on both of them. Yet that didn't help much, so they decided to go their seperate ways again. They didn't want to become that fighting couple and the girl, little Gwendolyn, has always been their main interest. It had been what bound them and they didn't want her to only see her parents fighting. Skygge never regretted this decision as he still sees his daughter a lot. As friends now, his and Samanthas relationship has become a lot a better. They can show their daughter what love is and even though there is a new man in Samanthas life, Gwendolyn still calls Skygge her daddy and that is what is most important to him. The money that he had set apart for the wedding was now spend on buying his own shop and equipment to persue his second dream, his own tattoo shop. The shop is located almost next to his fathers garage so he can manage both jobs, his dad still being mostly in charge of the garage even if it is officially on Skygges name now.

Rules are meant to be broken in his opinion and he likes to rebel against authority. Always breaking the rules and pushing the limits (including his own). He is an open and outgoing boy that can be very up in your face. He likes to challenge people and push them out of their comfort zone. This is the second reason you will need a lot of patience to stay around him. He will not hold back his opinion on matters, yet he will be careful enough not to harm any feelings (most of the time). Still he is no fighter and would joke his way out of a fight that started because of something he said. Though when there is really no way out of it, he can stand his ground if really necessary.

Background:

Being the stepson of a successful and rich lawyer is not easy when you have no interest in law at all. The more Stephan pushed his stepson into the mold of being a qualified heir to the Vuori-name the more Skygge started to rebel. He had never been a fan of the male, not from the moment his mother had remarried. The new husband had always pushed him and his twinbrother, since failure was not an option. This had lead to a depression on his twin brothers part since he simply didn’t have the intellect to keep up with his two minutes younger brother. This had lead to the suicide of the other at the age of fifteen. Something that was witnessed by the calmer counterpart, Jyrki. From that moment on something had snapped in the boy, refusing to listen to that name as he renamed himself Skygge. He started to fight back, stay out late, run around in the bad parts of the city. Yet, his grades didn’t slip, as he managed to keep his straight A status.

Stephan, still trying to ignore and silence the fact one of his ‘kids’ had commit suicide, started to bribe the young male. He compensated for his loveless behaviour by buying him expensive cars, the newest games and consoles, clothes, everything a boy his age could wish for. It only lead to Skygge resenting him, and the golden cage life of the rich and the famous, more and more. The boy however knew that he was dependent of the new husband, so he settled for the small battles. Causing scandalous and making sure to reach the tabloids and magazines every now and then with his rebellious behaviour. While also keeping up the golden shine by appearing on benefit festivals and parties, yet crashing that image by flirting and going against the well mannered etiquette.

Only his friends knew about his resentment towards his stepdad and his wish to leave behind the golden cage. However he had never given them any explanation for the year he had been missing from school when he had been 15. His friends sure had him seen change from the calm boy to the rebel, but he avoided all questions most of the time. However he had told them about his brothers suicide, but not with too many words and eventually they had let the subject slip

“Hmm, make out with Winnie?” He looked at the blonde that sat next to her, before his deep brown eyes wandered over to the redhead. A mischievous grin came to his face as he nodded slightly. ”Sure, I could do that, but you have to make out with Dennis in return” The grin had grown to a smirk, a signature that he was up to no good as he got up from the seat. He didn’t even look back at the perfect girl to see her reaction to the dare he had placed in return.

Slowly, but steady, he made his way over to the other girl, that was probably not aware of anything. ”Hey Win! Wait up!” He called out and suddenly he was beside her. His hand moved forward, catching her arm as he pushed her with her back against the lockers. His grip wasn’t tight or painful, but just enough to keep her in place as he pinned her. Without any further warning he moved forward. His free hand cupping her chin almost gently as he brought his head down, like he had done a million times before with different girls, and different boys.

He felt soft lips against his, quickly dominating in the kiss, that was over just as quickly as it started. He didn’t say anything more, he didn’t even look back at Brooklyn. Yet he was sure she had seen what had happened. He was pretty sure a lot of people had seen what had just happened. Some people even cheered him on to go further, but he didn’t. He could one specific set of eyes burning him down as he looked at the Indian beauty, that he had been with passionately before. He just looked back at her, not giving any explanation to either of them as he let go off Winnie.

Shane woke up in the middle of this chilly Sunday night with a groan. She was both anxious and upset that her summer was over and it would be time to start school all over again. She thought back to when she was in a Ouran High School. A school where the handsomest boys with too much time on their hands entertain young ladies who also have way too much time on their hands. It's a very large and prestigious school, but she was so determined to get out of there, she had to do it the reckless way. Shane definitely hated it there. A bunch of arrogant boys who thought they were too top notch for any rules or regulations. She thought to herself. Pfft. What a joke.

However that reign of terror was over. She was told she would be transferring this year to a whole new school and much like any young lady with a bad history at a well known school, she was even completely fond of this idea. Shane looked over at the time.

3:05 a.m. She sighed and threw her back onto the bed. You have to get up soon. Let's hope it's worth it.

She fell back asleep.

*BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BU-*

Shane dragged her arm around her bed until she felt her phone and lifted it up. She could barely make out the time for a moment, as her eyes were blurred out from just waking up 3 hours prior to not sleeping at all.

6:30 a.m.

"Shit." She murmured. She didn't exactly need to be up and ready so early, but if she wasn't she'll never even get dressed. She got up and started getting ready slowly. She brushed her teeth while she was taking a shower, wondering which school her parents set her up with.

Almost a full hour later and she was out to put on a new set of clothes.

When she was fully dressed she sighed and threw herself back onto her bed.

*Knock, knock, knock*

She wanted to go back to sleep, but obviously couldn't. Assuming it was her mother, who's she's not very friendly with, she yelled "WHAT?!"

"Sorry, miss." Replied a gentle voice and Shane sat up quickly. Her eyes lit up and she ran towards the door without opening it.

"Nikolai?" she questioned. "Yes?" the voice answered back. She swung the door open to reveal the face of her care-giver/butler/servant or whatever label you would give. "I'm sorry. I thought you were my mom." Nikolai smiled gently and patted Shanes' head. "I figured as much. Let us go now. You shouldn't be late on your first day of school."

She was the chipper, slightly dorky girl that fit in wherever she went. She wasn't super like or disliked, she was just Raylene. Her grade average was in the 3.75 range each year.

Personality:

Raylene was a lot more girly in high school, she was the type who liked to wear bright pink poodle skirts, striped shirts, overalls, and colorful retro clothing that just might clash, but she would never realized just how much of a crime to fashion she was doing, because she always pulled it off because of who she was as a person. Sometimes she wore graphic tee's or tank tops because she was a huge fan of comics. Raylene loved kids and connected with them better than anyone else. She was always babysitting or offering to babysit. Sometimes she felt a bit out of touch with those closest to her, and felt like they just weren't understanding or listening to her, and she went into a brief (secret) phase of depression in her junior year and missed a week of school.

She was also a bit of a blank space, as if there was this part of her life that she just couldn't seem to fill, and it made her lack the last little bit of her character. Ray was never one for relationships or romantic involvements with other people, because she just doesn't think she could handle it. Not to mention if her father found out, she was done for.

Family comes first. School comes second. Romance comes fourth. Sure, she's kissed the random guy here and there or flirted at parties, but she's not the type to let them or her gain any interest in the other. It's an unnecessary distraction.

Raylene wanted to be a Childhood Development Psychologist and almost went into pursuing it when she got to college.

Background:

Raylene's parents were born in India and came to America where they had and raised her up as a child with her older sister and younger brother. Her parents were firm in their belief that their children should get a good education, and did not believe in buying lots of technology or clothing, so Raylene took up babysitting and a job when she was 16 to raise money to buy things on her own. Her home was very simple, with the bare necessities and a few nice things like an antenna television and such.

Raylene's father could be a bit harsh and overbearing at times when she got a B or when she talked about guys that she found attractive or wanted to date. But she knew he was just thinking of the best for her. He and her mother had moved to America so that their children could be successful in life, not to date and gush over boys. And her father was still a believer of arranged marriage. Because in India, he'd be giving a dowry off to the finest suitor for his daughters at this time; if they weren't illegal now.

Her mother wasn't as serious about enforcing the rules of education comes first. As long as her daughters believed they were living up to their full potential, she was happy.

Ray has very little family besides her parents and siblings that are in the Americas, so those that do live in the Americas live very close and are almost always over her house. Her uncle was constantly buying her family things like a new television, toys for her brother, and phones for her and her sister, but her mother and father always refused to take them, and her and her siblings would have to beg and plead before they finally allowed them to set up the desktop computer and the new TV and DVD Player, or use the phones their mother's brother had given them.

Finally, her parents began to crack and just accepted the gifts without a fuss, because the knew that the kids' uncle was very persistent when it came to spoiling his family and his sister's family.

She was nice to everyone and love to chat and ask people about how they were doing, but alcohol in her presence (especially at parties) made her irritable, and she would snap at whoever had it. She always had to write a Quote of the Day on her white board in her locker each morning, or she'd have a bad day.

Nowadays:

Raylene is not as open with people, and doesn't like to be the one who keeps the conversation going or speak to a person who only talks about themselves. She stills writes a Quote of the Day but now she also writes a Song of the Day on a whiteboard on her fridge.

Raylene has an art wall in her living room, which is now where she plasters all of her drawings. Her love for kids and playing with them has become more of a chore that she does when with her nieces and nephews, due to the fact that she's never been in a relationships and is horrible with guys. She still loves dance, but is fearful of returning to it with the same passion after breaking her leg her senior year of high school.

Raylene got her ears pierced at age 11 with her sister *Who was 15 at the time* and she also got her nose piercing done with her sister when she was 17 and her sister was 21.

Raylene's eye lit up with happiness at the sight of her friends sitting at their usual lunch table. The past week had felt like she had been run over by a flaming train repeatedly, and she was glad to be back. She needed the comfort and familiarity. "Hey guys, what did I miss?" She looked around the table with a wide grin as she sat down, smoothing her skirt of any visible wrinkles. "And before you ask, no I was not sick. I..." Mason was slightly popular because he was on the school's soccer team. And he was known for getting into heated debates with the teachers for no reason and because a sassy, sarcastic teen to almost everyone. He kept a 4.0 average in the majority of his classes, and graduated with a 4.0 also.

Personality:

Much like he is now, Mason was very sarcastic and intelligent. But he laid the sarcasm on much thicker, and was ruder and more immature with his jokes. Part of the reason he was so mean and snarky was because he was fighting himself. Mason had never been the type to go for looks, but instead personalities. Sure, attractiveness was a bonus but who cares? At one point he had met a really great guy and liked him in a like, like way, but didn't follow his urge because he insisted to himself that, "I don't like guys, I'm not gay." And he wasn't gay, but that's the only reason he could explain liking another male. That occurrence made him bitter inside, and he was very distant with people. Although he got along well with his friends, he had a tendency of being unnecessarily rude to them too, but then he'd pass it off that he was just joking.

Mason's father was a heavy rage drinker, and downed his sorrows in spirits. Mason his best pal, and pup Creamer to a blow to the ribs; his father apologized the instant he realized what he had done, but Mason's mother wasn't hearing it and she took the kids and moved out. After he stopped living with his dad, things were much more enjoyable, and lighthearted than before, and Mason wasn't as bitter.

"Well, Alyssa Monte asked me to the prom?" Oliver stated unsurely. "Aw, is little Oliver finally becoming the ladies' man Nonna predicted him to be." Oliver let out an unconvincing scoff, backing away from his dad. "Pshh! N- No! Anyways, there's a letter from some guy name Quinton sitting on the living room table for you. I may or may not have opened it."

Mason disapprovingly shook his head at his son's back with a smirk, as he trotted up the stairs to avoid talking about his romance life. "Don't be such a baby Oliver, there's nothing to be embarrassed about just because a girl asked you to the prom!"

"Shut up!" Oliver called back in a whining voice.

Mason chuckled softly, heading into the living room and picking up the letter from the coffee table.

His style is very casual and normal, unlike his sister. He has worn make up before, but he usually doesn't admit it. It was only because he was told to for shows he had stared in and the occasional headshot, it helped make his eyes popped. Or at least that's what his sister told him.

However, he wasn't practicing the set choreography. Ryan, was doing his own dance. The choreographer highly recommended him and took him on as an assistant, in addition to being a back up dancer. He had assumed, like everyone else, that was was a homosexual and asked him on a date. Ryan, being unsure, accepted but quickly learned with the goodnight kiss that he was 100% straight. He has tried to break it to him, but his "boyfriend" is in denial and refuses to accept it. Now they have to work together. He's a great friend and supporter. The stage was his outlet, he could let loose and just be him without judgment...well minimal judgment. The general look of Winnie is an unintentional eye-catcher. She is mostly recognized by her natural copper-tone hair, which is always purposefully tousled and waved to shape her face, and her sharp gray eyes will catch anyone's attention if she looks their way, sometimes intimidating them. Despite that, Winnie has a warm smile that acts fast on a dull day. She often feels lucky to say that she filled out quite well since her senior year, and that is said for her style too. Opposed to the fine array of black, gray, and occasional red that used to fill her wardrobe, Winnie is now nearly unrecognizable at home and on the go. On the weekends she's greeting the postman in sweatpants and a classic graphic tee or sweatshirt, but around town she is dressed with sharp leather jackets and collared shirts the color of Royal Blue. She's always known the stature of a soldier, but no one would guess that from a leading illustrator of comics. She's always said that it 'depends on the angle' to see her as a genius or a child, and when once asked which angle was the best she replied with, 'the one that makes me a childish genius.'

Personality:

Alongside her sharp intellect and style, Winnie has always been like a dart on a target. With a Scottish Father and Yankee Mother, Winnie came out of the Bronx with a quick tongue and a way to tickle anyone to get what she needed. Her father taught her how to read people in less than ten seconds, and her mother gave examples on how to play with those impressions like music. Be it money, a job, or a handshake from the mayor, she always knew just what to say to walk out with a congratulations to herself and a weight off of her shoulders a little bit lighter. She was always told that she was too charismatic for luck, to which she shrugged. 'I just got it from my parents, I suppose.' She always gave her parents credit for success... but there was one thing that they just couldn't help her with.

Although Winnie had a clever mind and bright smile, there was one thing that she never really had any luck with: making friends. In mostly her early years, before high school, she always shot out 'hellos' to anyone who passed, and only got glares in return. No matter how much she read people, how much she tried to play to her strengths, she was always beaten back down to silence. By High School, she had become quite shy and dark. If she were to be honest, it was a time that she would rather forget.

Now, Winnie has no problem in saying that she doesn't have very many close friends. She prides herself of the mentality of her mother in the workplace, but also is proud to say that she has grasped her own way of hiking around life, not just manipulating people in the way that her mother did. She's kind and helpful, but quick to defend anyone on her side. As soon as Winnie graduated, she left town to go to Minneapolis -- more specifically, The Minneapolis College of Art and Design. It wasn't very well heard of to anyone in Science or Mathematics, but if they offered a place for her, Winnie was willing to go anywhere. Ever since her first exposure to the classics as a child, Winnie had a dream to illustrate for Marvel Comics. She practiced, and drew, took classes in perspective, line art, and art styles (her favorite was classic Humanism), and when she got back to the city, took up the first offer that she saw for comic book artists. It wasn't Marvel -- she was sure not even her persuasion could land her a job -- but it was okay, for now... But she loves her job nonetheless, part of a great team of artists and illustrators, and is now in the middle of her second comic series.

Concerning other people, Winnie doesn't concern. She simply cannot find the time or energy to read and win a person, purely for entertainment purposes. How many times did she do that in high school anyway? Enough to satisfy her social needs for a long time. Romantically, there isn't any interest, either. Winnie identifies as Demisexual, under the Asexual spectrum, and over time... she just hasn't been interested. The way she told her colleague was, 'if I don't have friends, hen there isn't even room for potential datefriends. They just don't exist. As a teen, Winnie bore no resemblance to her colorful adult self. Because she was bullied in her younger years, she mostly kept to herself, listening to music and drawing her dreams. In the eyes of her classmates, she never spoke, never raised her questions, never really did anything. She had given up on social skills before Freshman year, and found no hope in trying to sharpen them for people she'd never see again in four years.

When she did find friends, the brighter side of her shone out. Under tones of the night sky, were pastel laughs and cheerful celebrations that didn't really celebrate... anything. Once Winnie opened up, she was a cheerful kid who helped her friends through anything and never asked for anything in return. Be it datefriends, art class, or even rainy days, Winnie always seemed to be right around the corner, and she never asked anyone if they were available to do the same thing. She seemed to take care of herself, and be perfectly content with it.

Although she could have done better in History and Math, Winnie excelled in anything that didn't require a 'right' answer. She loved literary interpretation (and ignored the weird looks of her classmates when she dissected a poem by shapes and patterns), and was working on art projects in the summer. Where others hated school, she loved it. It was quiet, and away from home. She could slouch over her work, and no one would yell orders.

Apart from close friends, Winnie never went anywhere with romance. She was just never interested. Sure, maybe she had a few crushes on friends, maybe... but it was like she always said. 'I'm not going to be interested in someone unless they're my friend, and I can't be interested in my friend because then I'll 'put the friendship at risk.' It was never any use.

Background:

In her early years, Winnie loved life with her parents. Her father was native from Scotland, with the quickest wit and sharpest tongue, and her mother was born in the Bronx, with the academic intelligence of a full ride from NYU -- which, incidentally, she had. They lived in the Bronx, and Winnie's parents loved each other and they loved her. They gave her everything that a city borough could.

And then, they left.

They said that they had no choice. Well, that's what they said on the dirty index card that Winnie found on the kitchen table in the seventh grade. They said that there was a problem at work, at both of their works, and that they didn't want to put Win in danger. She was their everything, they said, and they didn't want to hurt her.

And then they sent her Uncle Al to take care of her.

Uncle Al, wasn't really an actual uncle. He had no relation to Winnie, or Winnie's father, or Winnie's Mother. And 'Al' wasn't his real name. It was Alexandr Kriegel, and he was a war veteran found in the Yellow Pages. He lived away from the city, in a two story townhouse with no air conditioning or fire escape. But that was the least of Winnie's worries. Uncle Al was a war veteran, meaning that he had the word 'discipline' nailed above his bedroom door like it was a horseshoe. While Winnie kept to herself in School, she hid her sketchbooks at home and learned to speak only when spoken, and how to break someone's arm. Winnie's relationship with Uncle Al went two ways, for very obvious reasons. First, he terrified her. He still does. His method of teaching, of life... it was something Winnie never wanted to revisit, even as an adult... but looking back on those years, Winnie remembers Uncle Al as an oddly funny man, who took her under his featherless wing when he didn't want to... he gave her just what she needed in High School, and for the rest of her life: a spine.

'HEY HEY HEY PEOPLE! IT IS THURSDAY MORNING AND WE NEED TO GET THAT STRIP IN PRONTO SO LET'S--' Winnie closed the door to the office and turned around to see -- a crowd of groggy, drooling, and sleeping people. She sighed, 'get to work...'

Three years in the business of Comic Art, and Winnie really shouldn't have been surprised anymore. Every Saturday morning at 6.30 AM she rang the bell of the office, and every Saturday morning at 6.30 AM, no one responded. She seemed to be the only illustrator to have her schedule under her belt... but she was also the only illustrator with a pay below $30 per hour.

Marvel will come some day, she supposed.

So there Win was, creeping around the cluttered room of dimmed computer screens and scattered paper, nudging everyone's shoulders and calling their names. It was always in the same order: Greg, Cherry, Geoff, Jacob, Bella, Gale, Gary, and Harper. And, of course, after she went down that line twice, she always had to do the same thing in the end. Winnie shrugged her bag off of her shoulder and set her cheap coffee down onto her desk. She straightened her back, cleared her throat, and closed her eyes.

'AAAAAATTENTION!' Greg shot up from his dormant state, his left hand flying out and smacking Cherry, who jumped awake and let out a high yelp, which Geoff heard... and so on. Within thirty seconds the group was rubbing their eyes and looking about groggily, plans of passing out swimming in their heads. Winnie shook her head. 'I said ATTENTION!' Within seconds the group was standing, eyes fixed on Winnie. 'Jeez, you guys are hard to wake up...' She ran her eyes down the group, and pointed at Harper and Jacob. They didn't need textures today, nor did they need colors. They were doing dialogue and lining today, and that meant... a lot of line art. 'Harper, Jacob... Geoff. Go home. Everyone else... This strip is due tomorrow at noon. Can't be slacking, got it?' Once everyone nodded, a smile appeared on Winnie's face. 'Great. I have coffee grinds in my bag, go make some.'

As everyone filed into their small kitchen, turning the coffee machine on and cleaning the French Press (they needed a LOT of coffee), Winnie logged onto her computer, turning the brightness down. The sun had risen, but skyscrapers blocked the horizon and it was still dim outside. While the software was warming up, she hooked her new art tablet up to the screen as well, configuring the wires and tapping her feet on the ground while she waited. When she looked back up, the screen was still loading. Winnie sighed. She checked her watch -- almost 7, and nothing had been done... she needed to do something. She went over her little list of 'things to do' in her mind... Bring coffee, open the shades, hook up the tablets to the hopeless computers, pay the taxes...

Winnie shot up from her slight slouch.

Taxes. Shit.

The next thing she knew, Winnie was running the few blocks back to her apartment. She had completely forgotten about one thing, one thing that she couldn't remember, and she knew it... and it was the taxes, of all things. The one thing that allows her to have a living space. Taxes. And they could be sent today. She couldn't be late again.

Winnie darted to her post box in her lobby and ripped the bills out to see them. She rifled through them, feeling pressed for time that wasn't running. Mag, Mag, insurance, lawyer, paper... Winnie flipped back to the lawyer's envelope. Quinton... Quinton? Winnie leaned against the boxes, staring at the name in question. She'd heard that name before... where did she hear it before?

'Quinton... Quin...ton?' She repeated to herself, staring at the rising sun, 'Hey, Quinton, 'sup Quinton, nice to meet you Quinton...' Winnie squinted to remember, but just couldn't put her finger on that name. She looked around. It intrigued her too much.

Yes, we are old friends. A bit more than 10 years ago we were inseparable, or at least our little clique of friends was. I would like to relive those years and see where everybody ended up. As soon as the elevator doors closed, Winnie whipped her phone out and pressed the first number on her speed dial. It rang twice before someone picked up.

'Cherry? Cancel the strip, move it to next week-- wh-- Cherry? Ch... Cherry!' She pulled the phone away from her ear at Cherry squabbling down the line. 'Pass-- Pass the phone to Greg, okay? ?Tommy joined the Army as a Cavalry Scout, and stayed in for five years. He deployed to Afghanistan once for twelve months, coming back and doing training and other different military schools. Ranger school was one of them, him being sent on a joint operation force known as LURST; a recon unit dedicated to being the main recon force for the Infantry and Cav brigades. He soon hurt his back however, him leaving the military. He spent the next five years owning and maintaining his own surf shop in Santa Monica, known as the 'Bandits Retreat'. The business doesn't do bad, he just doesn't care enough to expand. Tommy left the Army as a Staff Sergeant (E-6), and was awarded the 'Combat Action Badge' along with a 'Purple Heart'. To this day, he makes 100% disability from the army, being paid every month for the rest of his life.?

?Tommy only got into one fight in high school, and that was because it was to defend his sisters honor. It ended horribly for the other guy, Tommy being expelled for a whole year. This was a reason for him being held back the second time. He's never had to fight anyone else before and after the Army, and is very proud of that fact. He will also never talk about his past in the Army, least it ruin his 'chill' persona. He does keep his 'awards wall' at his shack however, that being the only thing people need to see.?

Tommy was ecstatic, a letter from his friends from high school? He had thought they had forgotten about him after he had joined up. 'Guess they couldn't get enough Tommy...' Tommy laughed at his thoughts, him taking a sip of his V&D. Hell, he was truly glad he was still in his friend's thoughts. They all left on good terms, but he had left them all behind.

Bandit's Retreat was a fairly large surf shop, something Tommy took pride in. It was two story's huge, and had a nice smell of wax in the air. There were multiple photo's and paintings of random surfers covering the walls, some being Tommy's first costumers. Tommy took a second glance at the letter, it mentioning a mansion. 'What... Huh? Guess I'm gonna be the bum of the party.' Tommy chuckled, taking yet another sip of his drink. He grabbed his favorite board from the coveted wall of memories, located on the second floor. 'May as well just surf... I'll smoke after for the pain.' Tommy made his way downstairs, walking out the front door, locking it behind him.

The waves were glorious that night, the sun setting on the beach, all the bond fires being lit up. This was truly the life, and even though it wasn't a mansion; it was something far greater in his eyes. Being at this beach was the only thing he thought about when he was down-range, besides his late mother and sister. Tommy's back started feeling tingly however, him swimming back to the shore, slicking his wet hair back to keep it out of his face. This reunion was going to be fun, hopefully they wouldn't judge him. His life choices were something to be desired, but it was all he could do. He had lost his motivation, and didn't want to find it.

Elliot had a rather normal life. He grew up in a normal town, in a normal neighborhood, with a normal family. It was almost like the old-fashioned days, with a father working nine to five, a mother staying home to cook and clean the house, and two children going school to get their education. It was almost perfect...almost.

When Elliot was starting high school, his father required him to take a business class. He wanted his son to carry on with the family business. Elliot, not yet out of his shell, attended the classes. They were awfully boring to him and sat in the middle of his schedule, but that meant the fun classes, the ones he enjoyed, were soon after. His mother wanted her son to take music and art classes, as well as the extracurricular of drama. His mother loved the arts and Elliot claims that it was her who taught him to appreciate his talents. But raising childre usually involves two people, and in Elliot's case, one of those people were not too pleased about their theatre loving child.

At the end of his junior year, he was already 18 years old, and wanting to be an adult who could make his own decisions, used all the money he had saved up (with a little help from his mom) to buy himself an apartment. Elliot decided he was sick of his father's ridicule and rejection. He had always to man up, or that he was just in an awkward phase, and that he should be more like his older brother, who was studying law. Elliot moved out without warning his father, refusing to speak to him. He finished his schooling and was happy. He felt free. But that was just the beginning of the rest of his life, full of anger, addiction, and ache.

Don't let the scruffy beard and wild hair fool you, Dennis is not part werewolf although his animalistic way of eating might leave you thinking otherwise. Dennis was never the tallest man around measuring about five feet and seven inches when other guys broke the six foot bar. He has messy, wavy, brown hair which he occasionally straightens out just to get the cool guy effect, but humidity gets the best of him from time to time. As far as body goes, Dennis is no where near skinny or fit. Although obese might be an exaggeration, Dennis is a little on the heavy side weighing about 220 lbs and working hard to hide that slight beer belly. He isn't muscular, but his broad shoulders make him look toned. Getting a closer look at his facial features, the first thing that's noticed by most is his scruffy beard. For the most part, untrimmed, Dennis plans on letting it grow and joining Duck Dynasty. Although most of his persona reads "living in my mother's garage" his eyes show a completely different story. Although Dennis has proven himself to be a great father, he has a heavy hand when it comes to drinking and low tolerance. Having a technical job and having to raise a seven year old leaves Dennis under a lot of stress. He struggles financially and every Friday in order to forget his worries, Dennis hires a baby sitter and goes out to have a good time with his pals. What starts off as a carefree night turns into a tear fest after three beers. When Dennis is in his first stages of intoxication, he cries and sulks boring his friends as he reminiscence his times in high school and college. Dennis throws himself a pity party that no one attends. two beers later, Dennis grows angry with life. Angry that he has a sucky job, angry that he's a single parent, and angry that because of that he couldn't finish school. With one last drink, Dennis finishes his night passed out on the bar and being dragged home by his friends.

Although Dennis puts up a strong exterior, he feels like he's free falling on the inside and the parachute wont open. Unless intoxicated, Dennis isn't the person that will sit down and discuss his feelings or tell you his entire life story. He'll bottle up his emotions and when the dreaded question is asked, he'll reply with a bright smile and a "E'ery alright mate!" All that most people know about Dennis is that he has a daughter, and only because he carries a pink ballet backpack in the backseat of his car. Although Dennis is closed off, he is in no way shy. That version of him was lost long ago. Dennis loves having a good time. He'll laugh and talk to anyone (and anything if he's drunk). He's the type of person that will break the ice with a woman with a cheesy pick up line in hopes of getting a number he will never call. He'll buy the next round in order to make a friend, and he'll help the old lady at the grocery store to her car while listening to her tell him a million times how men in her past were not like they are now. But as soon as the conversation starts getting personal, Dennis chuckles nervously, gives a vague answer, and switches the subject.

Where to begin with Dennis' life story...the barber shop. That's where it all began. Who knew a simple hair cut and contacts could make such a difference in a person's life? About a week before going to college, Dennis made the life changing decision of going to his local barber shop and cutting the bird's nest that was growing in his head. He also threw his glasses out the window (Note this was a complete accident) making contacts mandatory, at least while the replacements came. With a new hair cut and contacts Dennis felt like a completely different person. That was until he opened his mouth and noticed puberty hadn't hit yet.

Going to college was the new start Dennis needed especially since the college was out of state. A state where no one knew who he was. A state where he wouldn't be judged for who he was in high school and wouldn't be bullied anymore. A state where he could finally be whoever he wanted to be. Now before I bore you with a "he became popular" story, it's not exactly how it happened. Though new Dennis had a suave mature look, high school Dennis was still in there making every possible attempt at popularity impossible. To start off he joined the college anime club. Dennis's first year was pretty rough. He was taken advantage by many of the frat boys. They pretended to be his friends and he'd do stupid things for them such as cleaning their laundry or taking five shots at once. He was back in high school, the only difference, here he was considered the comedian of the group, not the geek. Slowly Dennis stopped being that goofy kid at the party and morphed into Mr. Cool Guy.

Dennis had finally found a place where he belonged. In one semester of college Dennis made more friends than all his four years in high school. As the years went by Dennis joined a fraternity, got a girlfriend, and lived the ultimate college experience. Parties, study groups, late night test crams, the whole package. Even the unexpected pregnancy. Wait what? Dennis and his girlfriend, Susana, broke up the winter break of his third year. She never gave him an explanation, just a simple note on his door and she disappeared from his life. It wasn't until Thanksgiving break the following semester that he heard a knock on his apartment door. To his surprise, behind the door was a baby in a carrier. Dennis looked around for the baby's parents but no one was around. He then noticed a note on the baby's side. He picked it up and read. "It's yours. Sorry not sorry. -Susan" And just like that Dennis became a father.

Back in high school Dennis was that one kid with underwear in his head and face being flushed on the toilet. For some reason, back the guys in high school felt they had a right, no, a duty, to pick on the dorky kid with glasses. Had they just asked for his lunch money and asked him to do their homework, maybe Dennis wouldn't have resented them so much. But since the bulling went further than simply throwing his books on the ground, Dennis loathes most of the people in his high school. Dennis used to be that innocent boy that got pushed around. He wasn't confident enough to defend himself and was socially incompetent most of the time. He ended up saying the wrong things to the wrong person and landing himself in trouble. Although so much bullying made Dennis a shy introverted soul, he was never unhappy. He had a great sense of optimism that kept him going all through high school.

Dennis doesn't have an interesting back story or place of origin. He was the only son of a middle class family. His father was a banker and his mother was a school teacher. They didn't pressure him in school or sports, but they somehow always expected him to do well. They were a pretty care free family. Not too many rules were involved in his family just the usual, bed time, chores, and television limit. For the longest time, Dennis wished his family was more interesting, but after a while he began to appreciate his small city folks. Every summer, Dennis and his family would take a road trip to some isolated town and explore the history of little towns. Though it wasn't Cancun or Florida, Dennis loved his escapes from the usual routine. His parents were always loving and worked hard to give Dennis everything he wanted. When they began to notice his friends at school becoming a problem, they went to hell and back to make their little angle safe, but with such a crummy school system, the bullies were never taken care of. When it came time for Dennis to leave for college, they were more than supportive of his option of going out of state. Along with Dennis, his parents packed up their house and followed him to college. They lived in a separate house of course leaving Dennis to do all the growing up on his own. After that Dennis's parents just became the obligatory phone calls and weekly visits.

Michelle held an envelope up to Dennis's so that he could read the name for her. Dennis was sitting at the round kitchen table going through the day's mail while Michelle was having breakfast and getting ready to go to summer school. Dennis looked at the envelop taking it from her hands.

"It's Quinton. He's...an old friend from school."

Dennis's face dropped, memories of high school coming to him. He stared at the envelope wondering how in the world Quiton got his address. It was strange. Dennis vaguely remembered the boy now, swearing to forget all of his high school past. Back then he used to be a quiet kid much like Dennis, but that's all he remembered, or at least let himself recall. Dennis tossed the envelop in front of him not paying much attention to it although there was a slight curiosity as to what his old friend wanted.

"Oh so he's like Stephanie. My friend from school."

His mind coming back to the kitchen table, Dennis smile. "Yeah just like Stephanie." He took a second glance at the letter now curious as to why Quinton had written him. The thought however didn't last very long. Shaking his head Dennis looked over at Michelle, "Are you done with breakfast? Come on, or you'll be late for school." Michelle's eyes grew wide in horror as she picked up her cereal bowl, brought it to her lips, and gulped the rest of the cereal down finishing with a slight burp. The girl giggled looking at Dennis guiltily. Dennis just chuckled and shook his head.

"Excuse yourself."

" Hehe! 'xcuse me."

"Now go brush your teeth."

The little girl jumped off of her chair and ran to the bathroom following her fathers instructions. Once again, Dennis's eyes went to the letter, curiosity slowly killing him on the inside. It's been ten years already. How in the world does he still remember me? I haven't thought about people in high school since...graduation.

"Ready!"

The high pitched sound of Michelle's voice broke Dennis's train of thought. He smile at his little girl standing up from the kitchen table.

"Let's go!"

Michelle grabbed her backpack, Dennis helped her with her coat, and in a matter of five minutes they were in the car and on their way to school. The entire ride Dennis thought about the letter while Michelle sung along to her Frozen soundtrack. Once the girl was in school, Dennis drove back, letter still in mind. What could he possibly want? As soon as the car was off, Dennis ran into his home and grabbed the letter tearing it open.

Dear old friend,

Yes, we are old friends. A bit more than 10 years ago we were inseparable, or at least our little clique of friends was. I would like to relive those years and see where everybody ended up. That is why I am inviting you (and of course the others) to a weekly stay at the Mercer Island Mansion. Don’t worry, everything is paid for all you need to do is bring some clothes and join us in the nostalgia.

Dennis was in shock. He sat on the kitchen chair before he fell to the floor. He read the letter over and over again not knowing if this was a badly played joke or if it was serious. Initial shock wearing off, Dennis went over to his room and into his closet taking out a box that he had stowed away when he first bought the house. The box needed a good dusting, but worrying about that some other time, Dennis yanked it open and fished for his old high school year book. He skimmed to the pages until he found the very familiar face of a young blonde with a coy smile. Underneath the picture read the name Gaylord Thomass Quinton. Dennis smiled remembering his old friend. For the next few minutes Dennis skimmed through the pages of his yearbook laughing at the yearbook pictures of his old friends and frowning at the guys who bullied him. After a while he picked up his phone and dialed.

"Hey Ma' How's it?

Yeah I'm fine. Listen, I need a favor..."

Years following his growth spurt in high school, James has finally grown into his height of 5'11. While he's fit for his age and works out on a regular basis, he's not physically buff per say as he might have been in high school. His short brown hair always has a slightly messy appearance to it, and regardless of how much effort he puts into tidying up, his bangs always droop over his forehead. He often has a short stubble of hair along his jawline, but never lets it grow out into a full beard, and always is clean-shaven for important events.

His face itself is probably the most striking feature upon first impressions: from the hard jawline to the light wrinkles already embedded in his foreheard, it gives him a rather serious, down to earth expression most of the time. His eyes only further illustrate this, the grey pupils the color of flint always having a sharpness to them. Even when his features soften, a sense of rigidity always remains, and some say it's difficult to interprete what he's feeling based on facial expressions alone.

Regarding his attire, James usually keeps it simple and practical when not at work. Most often you can find him wearing a pair of jeans with a dark-colored long sleeve shirt with a pair of sneakers, maybe a t-shirt when its warm out. If it's raining or the weather's cool enough he's usually seen with an old leather jacket on.

Personality:

While many of his high school friends seemed to mellow out over the years, James has become even more serious than he was before (If such a thing was possible). Though he's polite enough with most people, he always has this hardness to him, even when relaxed and enjoying himself with friends. While this at times stoic behaviour can be off-putting to some people, it also lends towards a sense of gravitas he carries with him. Though he isn't much of a chatterbox, everything he does bother to say carries weight with it, and though people may not like him personally, most still respect him. While typically avoiding the spotlight, he's more than able to take a leadership role when need be, though he'll likely complain all the while. Ever the realist, no matter how unpleasant the situation, he will do what needs to be done without hesitation.

While he likes spending time with friends and is more than willing to offer an ear to listen, he doesn't often reciprocate, and usually keeps his thoughts and feelings to himself. It rarely does any good to pry with James, as that most often leads to him closing up completely, though a few people over the years have figured out how to do so without agitating him.

Despite this harsh, stony demeanor he puts out more often than not, there's definitely a softer side to James. He's got a wry sense of humour that will pop up when people least expect it, and his loyalty to the people he cares about is unquestionable. While he's not quite mastered openly showing that he cares, it's usually his actions that say everything.

After graduating high school, James got a minor football scholarship to attend college, where he settled on a Business degree in preparation to study law. It was during this time that he met Jenny, a Physics major with whom he shared a Statistics class. Soon enough, the two of them started dating, and by the time they graduated, they were living in an apartment together and engaged, saving up to move to Chicago.

It was a year and a half later following their move to Chicago that the pair began having problems- both of them spent much of their time busy with work, and while Jenny was eager to start a family, James wanted to focus on getting themselves financially stable. The honest truth though was that James wasn't sure if he ever wanted kids, and his unwillingness to communicate this among other things is what he blames for the decline of their relationship. While in university James was more than willing to listen to all the things Jenny had to say, as time went on, those one-sided conversations began to dwindle, and when they stopped completely, he wasn't sure how to fill the silence. Finally, one afternoon Jenny came home from work and told James they couldn't do this anymore, and after nodding his head and getting the paperwork from his desk, the pair filed for divorce. To this day he's still unsure if he's relieved or regrets the decision.

Shortly after that, James decided he needed a change of pace. While he had once thought of pursuing law, that required money, something he didn't have much to spare. And though his office job paid a decent salary, he was miserable and felt as though he was doing anything of value as part of the entrepreneurial machine. With that in mind, he resigned from his position and decided to train to become a firefighter, a field where he felt he could actually make a tangible difference. To this day, he continues living in Chicago, calling his parents on a weekly basis to check how they're doing while mostly spending his time with his station buddies or on his own.

Personality:

In high school, those who didn't know him might say he had the personality of a cardboard box. He took everything from academics to sports to socializing seriously (Usually getting high seventies-eighties in his classes, excelling in subjects such as History and English while cringing at the thought of Chemistry), and always frowned upon breaking the rules (An opinion he only slightly softened when dealing with his more mischievous friends). Compared to the average high school student, he was a pretty reliable guy when it came to most thing: He showed up on time to football practice, always was willing to help carpool to a party or a game, and in general was known to keep his word.

Amongst his fellow teammates, he got along well with most people by not saying much and allowing himself to be dragged to parties with little complaint. With his close friends however, he was much more willing to open up and give his thoughts and opinions about things, even at the risk of offending them with his honesty. He was a dedicated friend and family member, always there when needed, and in more than a few cases helped get some folks out of a difficult situation. At the same time, he could be stubborn when trying to help someone out, and was on a few occasions prone to anger and physically lashing out in order to defend the people he cared about.

Dream Job:

While unsure on a specific career, James always wanted to do something which would prove helpful or beneficial to society. At the time, he settled on becoming a lawyer, feeling this would be a respectable career which would offer financial stability and enable him to assist those wrongfully prosecuted (He watched a lot of crime drama's at the time, and this was one of his few more optimistic viewpoints).

Background:

James had a relatively uneventful childhood, growing up with his parents (An electrician and nurse) and younger brother Jackson in a small two-storey home. Like many boys his age, he participated in a variety of sports and activities, and while perhaps a bit more shy than others his age, made friends easily enough.

It wasn't until grade 6 when the boy started noticing certain things at home, like how his father often complained about pain in his chest, or that the older man seemed out of breath after practicing soccer or football with him, the moments where he come home to find his mother home with red eyes, only to wipe them the moment she realized her children were home. However, it took until grade eight, when he got a call from his mother, that he learned the full story- Michael Sullivan had Coronary Artery disease, and was currently in the hospital after having a heart attack while working.

From that point on, James quickly developed towards the more mature, serious individual he would grow up to be. While his father got out of the hospital quick enough and was back to work, the eldest son had already begun preparing himself for what he thought was bound to come. He started taking charge with his younger and more reckless brother, making sure he got to school and was doing his homework. He would try to remember to tidy up and would make meals for himself as well as the rest of the family when they were in the house. It wasn't until his father sat him down and spoke to him privately that he freely admitted that he was scared and was only trying to take of everything so his father didn't have to worry. And while reassured at the time that Michael would be around for a while yet, whatever light-heartedness the boy once had was gone.

As he moved towards high school and graduation, the family experienced another shock when Michael had another heart attack, leading James to take charge while his mother Hannah spent most of her time worrying by her husband's side. This coupled with his younger brothers antics (Consisting largely of juvenile acts of graffiti and drinking under-age) put a bit of strain on James. This culminated into an incident when Jackson came home drunk, and in frustration James beat up his little brother, warning him to smarten up. Since then, the brothers have largely been distant with each other. Despite trying to keep much of what was going on to himself, his friends were at least partially aware of what was going on at the time, though they only openly discussed it on a few occasions.

-Tony, one of the guys at the station, recently has been giving James impromptu cooking classes, after seeing that James practically lived off sandwiches and breakfast food. Since then, James has begun taking an interest in cooking, though he's still learning and often overthinks things.
