I am having trouble if I should get teamspeak; the free one or not

It depends on your needs. Overwolf is an extension on TS, so it is not needed.

Overwolf is not a TeamSpeak application. It has been chosen by TeamSpeak to be their official overlay solution.


Overwolf provides a wide range of applications such as an in-game browser, Game capture, Skype, Twitch streaming, Video recording, as well as apps that are made for certain games specifically, check it out, its pretty god damn cool.

well, I'm trying to get into the chat on teamspeak and it saying insufficient client permissions. Someone on the chat said that I have to rejoin to the teamspeak.

Ah, this is because you were not set as a registered member. Whenever someone joins TS for the first time, they have restricted permissions, and a staff member needs to change your user group. You should be able to go into the general chat room now.
