Mutsu/Mr. Mutsu is the manager at Tanuki cafe. He houses stray Yokai in return for their service at the shop. He is a kind and generous old man, willing to share his "Holy spirit" Wisdom with younger reincarnations. Despite the great respect towards him, Mutsu is actually very clumsy and is quite stubborn. He will only cook when he wants to, and isn't afraid of literally kicking people out of his cafe. Even as a highly praised chef, Mutsu appreciates any food he is served. It's rumored that he secretly hoards the cafe's rice-balls into his office. His past is unknown to many Yokai. However, he is greatly admired and considers himself a grandfather to everyone.
