Personality:

Oh the terrible twos a prime tantrum time for a young toddler. With so many things that can easily set her off! Namiko is a rather loud toddler that loves to play with just about almost anything she can find wether it is a piece of string or just a loaf of bread she somehow managed to get, everything is a toy in her eyes. No matter how many times she's told no she'll still try to grab it. Perhaps she'll even try to chew on it too soothe her incoming molars. Plus since learning how to climb over things, making it easier to reach certain objects
To the point it's just better to keep a door close around her to keep Namiko out she's too small to reach the handles and doesn't understand how others do it. Or put her in a pack and play crib she hasn't learned how to climb out of one or those yet.
Being a two year old she has the habit of getting jealous easily when she see's her younger sibling getting more attention it can causes Namiko to act out more. She may try to shun people when she's upset, it's really easy to win her over though. Namiko can be a real sweetheart when something isn't setting her off, and she will try to seek more attention from her eldest sister.

Background:

Being only two years old Namiko hasn't been alive for very long. She's kinda has always been a handful though from her baby baby days to her somewhat big girl days as the toddler is so thrilled to boast that she is a big girl although she isn't. From coloring on the walls, learning how to climb baby gates from a cartoon she spotted one of her older siblings watching about three weeks before the move. She then started using the same technique on her crib which lead to her getting stuck at some point so her crib had to be taken away, now she sleeps on a futon matress on the floor to prevent herself from falling a long distance.
During the move back in Japan she ended up outfront unsupervised after someone had accidentally left the front door open she made it about three driveways down the street before throwing a rather loud tantrum after hearing the neighbor's dog bark. In the process while they were moving she became very restless especially on the airplane she had a hard time on the flight, not understanding what was happening or where they were going just that they were no longer home anymore. And in a really big place.

Feelings on having such a big family: She loves attention so she's very happy.

Likes:

When she is stopped from climbing something.

Name: Miori Takahashi
Nickname: Mia
Age: 14
Gender: Female

Personality?: Miori is very much a creative type. She enjoys drawing and playing her keyboard. She secretly writes her own songs but she's been too shy to share her music, even to her family. She's very smart, but a bit of an anxious girl, especially with the family's big move to America. Miori is also a very loving and caring person, helping her parents with the younger siblings when they need it. Miori is very mature for her age, but among her peers is very awkward. Miori managed to have a few friends and a good life back over in Japan, and she's worried about the significant culture shock and changes her life will undergo.

Optional backstory: Miori was born and raised in Japan and had a happy childhood with her large family. She attended school, was a good student and even had some friends. She struggled in subjects like math and science but excelled in the arts and language, which allowed her to pick up English as a second language fairly quickly. When her father announced they were moving to America, Miori became a worrywart about uprooting her life and leaving all of her friends behind. Since she lived in Japan the longest, she was probably close to being the one who was most upset about the move. With her family now moved to California, she will be attending the 9th grade at a high school in San Francisco.

Opinions on her Family: She loves her family and enjoys spending time with her siblings but she'll admit that she would like some more space and alone time. She feels like there's no privacy in the apartment they're living in and would like to have her own room someday but she doesn't think she'll get her own room until she moves out, which will be a few years.

Likes: Drawing, Poetry, Music (likes all music but has grown a liking to rock and alternative music), Forests, Autumn, Fish, Hoodies, Singing.
Dislikes: Arguments, Large Parties, Yelling, Conflict, Heels, Writer's Block, Large Crowds, Spicy Foods.
Other: Enjoys writing music and her own songs, has yet to show them to her family.

高橋 健太

Name:
Takahashi Kenta

Nickname:
Ken

Age:
9

Gender:
Male

Personality:
Well Kenta's personality had changed ever since a small incident that occurred in his second year of schooling. Ever since he's tended toward being a bit of a loner, if any company is over he'll hide in his room or even under the bed. Even with his family, having people look at him is enough to cause a short jolt of fear, leading him to be a bit jumpy and overly-cautious. In his young, impressionable mind the world is something that's filled with spooky things creeping around each and every corner. There's pretty things too, like butterflies and flowers, but people aren't something he enjoys being around. Because of that he is usually one to be quiet and reserved around anyone that comes in contact with him, if he wants something he may write it down on a piece of paper or sticky-note just to avoid being looked at himself. There are times when people have snuck glances at him while he was alone- it's know that he has a very active imagination, hyperactive even, and can sit by his lonesome for hours on end if need be. Along with this he is a curious one, often peeking around corners or from behind curtains to investigate what others are up to. He'll probably grow out of that though.... Right?

Brief backstory:
Kenta was born into a family that had 2 children before himself, which did make it easier on himself in all honesty. They didn't have a case of "First Child Syndrome" so his young life was filled with laughs and toys, specifically the teething ring he refused to give up. Though when he entered school things changed a bit, he found talking to people very challenging and had a hard time adapting to the people around him. When second grade hit he was forced to read a passage aloud in front of the class, and after he couldn't manage to utter the first words he could feel the piercing gazes of his peers. His body began to shake and he broke into a fit of panic and tears, he wasn't asked to read in front of the class again... but then they moved- which proceeded to throw everything up in the air again.

Opinion on move:
It's kinda scary... he doesn't know anyone here besides his family and it's very loud outside.

Feelings on having such a big family:
Kenta loves his family, not having a family this large would be something strange to him in all honesty.

Likes:
Books; Winter, specifically snow; Long-sleeved shirts; Stars; Dragons; Swimming

Dislikes:
Tofu; Combs, combing his hair is a nightmare; Attention

Other:
Ever since grade 2 of elementary school Kenta has suffered from Scopophobia. In an attempts to counteract this he'll wear hoods and recently an Anti-dust mask that he'd convinced someone to buy him.

Female

Personality?:
AIko is a caring and calm person with a creative mind. She has her moments where she can be quiet and reserved, her social anxiety creeping up on her but when around the people she loves her sweet and outgoing personality comes out of hiding. She tends to hide her emotions, so instead of speaking them, she turns them into stories she keeps in little notebooks she has stashed around the apartment. She can be quite blunt and strict at times but only when worried or upset over something, which isn't often. Her patience level is high due to dealing with so many kids but she gets a little snappy at times when stressed out. Aiko deeply cares for her family and does whatever she can to care for them, either it be staying up all night with them till they sleep or helping them with their most difficult problems no matter what.
Optional backstory:
Aiko grew up in Kobe, living there her whole life. She grew up with about three siblings, two big brothers and a baby sister. She had a fairly happy childhood, only a couple of bumps in the road as she grew up. She visit the USA to see some family when she was very young but she hardly remembers that. She did dance till the age of thirteen before picking up writing, picking it up as a hobby. After that all is history, she went to college, got married and had a family.

Aiko is quite excited about it but can't help but feel a little anxious. She thinks it would be good for her children to experience all the things the move has to offer and take advantage of that.
