CALLEIGH WILLIAMS
The first week of Spring Semester was looking up for Calleigh. While most of her classes wouldn’t start for another week, that meant she had more free time than usual and she planned on taking advantage of that. Thankfully the only reason she was on waiting around on campus was because the College Recruitment team had asked her to give a tour for the new people. Right now none of them had shown up and she didn’t blame them. While the school was beautiful, it was rather boring. It focused mainly on academics, but had a few sports to offer.

Calleigh was currently sitting in the quad, on a bench beside a small grove of palm trees. Her blonde hair was moving freely in the gentle breeze as her gray eyes scanned over the student IDs she had in her hand. There were supposed to be two girls and a boy joining her his morning. One of them she was very interested in meeting. Blake Jameson.
She was apparently the stepsister of her friend, Jackson. While he hadn’t said much about his sister to her, she definitely knew that they were going to be friends. After all, the administration office did assign them together as dorm roommates.

“Hey, are you Calleigh?” A female voice inquired.

Calleigh look up and over at the source of the voice. It was Blake. A smile formed on her face as she stood up and held out her hand.

“At your service! Welcome to to the Glue Factory!” She joked.

“Glue factory?” Blake inquired warily.

“Great Lake University. G, L, U. GLU, as in... er, never mind.” Calleigh rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly. “It’s a joke.”

Boy was she making a fool of herself to the new girl.

BLAKE JAMESON
Blake raised a brow, a slight smirk on her face from the corny joke Calleigh had just attempted.

”It’s cool.” Blake grinned. “But I’ve heard better.”

She attempted to alleviate the awkwardness between them and it seemed to work, as Calleigh looked less embarrassed. Blake took the moment to take the girl in. She was pretty, she looked like someone who would be part of the ‘popular’ crowd in high school. It made her wary of her.

Calleigh was wearing a pair of leggings with a Great Lake University hoodie as a top. Blake on the other hand was wearing a pair of distressed jeans and an off the shoulder, white blouse.

“By the way, I know your brother.” Calleigh mentioned.

“That sucks.” She deadpanned.

Calleigh looked confused as her eyebrows knitted together.

“Why do you say that?” She asked, after a long pause.

“He can be pretty controlling in my opinion.” Blake said with a shrug.

Calleigh pursed her lips but didn’t press on the subject, instead she launched into the history of the school and the their. Blake followed after her, wonder what she had gotten herself into.

"And over here to your right is the real Glue Factory," Jackson casually emphasized his last couple of words before motioning his hand toward the Mechanical Engineering building. His steps fell in sync with Calleigh's as he merged into the small group from seemingly out of nowhere. Had he been waiting for the tour group to turn the corner knowing that his step-sister would be a part of it? Yes. In fact, that was the only reason why he even bothered to wake up an hour earlier that day.

Jack's brown eyes glanced over at his step-sister prior to shifting back to Calleigh to examine her reaction. Today was probably the first day Blake and him would get to talk . . sorta. After a full year of becoming somewhat of a familial unit, it was still as if they have never even spoken to one another. " . . Is it over yet?" The man raised a brow at his blonde friend implying her tour's conclusion in an indifferent tone. It wasn't out of disrespect though and hopefully Calleigh would catch that by now.

Robin Belmonte Jr.
ZAP! "WOAH!" Robin slipped ducked to the ground just before an electric spark dangerously snapped across an extended Tesla coil following a slight angle adjustment to his latest project. Simply put, Robin's newest creation had something to do with emitting bolts to beats. The project was just a random spur of the moment idea. Besides, it wasn't like he had anything better to do at the moment anyway. Classes would start sometime next week so now was the time to sneak into open labs and pull a random stunt.

A slight smile crept onto Robin's face as he stood up to flick on some music for project testing. Within a few moments, he was sliding around the hall floors in his socks and playing air guitar to Prince's song Kiss. "WOO! Nernernernernernernerner ner ner NER!" The guy danced around since he knew that no one could possibly be watching anyway. Just two days ago he had studied guard rounds around the Engineering building, which never really happened. Little did Robin know, today was an exception. "WHO GOES THERE?!" A low voice belted down the hall.

Robin jumped at the sound of the angry killjoy's rude interruption before swiftly moving a hand through his hair. "Bro, it was just too good to be true," He mumbled immediately throwing a cover onto his Tesla coil and sliding it into one of the supply closets. Despite the current situation, Robin was never one to get into trouble. Actually, the professor in charge of that lab station had already given Robin full authorization to complete the project he had been working on since Spring break. The guards would never understand that though.

"One," Robin snapped the latch locks on the supply closet. Even if no one really stole anything, it was always better to keep things hidden from other curious engineering students. "Two," He routinely wore his shoes hopping around for balance against one of the tables. The quickened heavy steps sounding down the hall only made the experience more nerve wrecking. " . . Three," Robin pulled the plug, jumped out the window, and sprinted toward the closest group he could find almost all at the same time.

”Speak of the devil and he shall appear.” Calleigh teased, “How long have you been there, creeper?”

As she spoke, she shoved Jackson's arm in a playful way. She'd been friends with Jackson for a while now. She recalled the day that they met, it was at a fundraiser and there was a climbing wall that people were competing for the fastest time. Calleigh had been unbeaten until his smug face showed up and beat her by a full second. For a while, she had set out to best him, but eventually the rivalry turned into friendship and she was pleased to have someone able to challenge her athletic capabilities. She glanced over to his sister as Blake spoke.

"Seems like he couldn't resist being nosy." She commented, her gaze guarded.

Calleigh's brows raised slightly, curious as to why Blake seemed so on edge around him. Her gray eyes flicked towards Jackson, but refrained from asking about it. While she may be curious, she wasn't about to go asking for Blake's reasons with only knowing her for an hour. Besides, she was sure to get to know her more since she was Jackson's sister so she was bound to see more of her around. The sound of someone running made it's way to her ears as a guy was barreling down the sidewalk, heading straight for them. Her eyes widened as she turned towards the male, her hands cupping around her mouth before speaking.

"Where's the fire?" She called out.

BLAKE JAMESON
Blake felt herself get defensive when Jackson spoke up from behind them. Her dislike of her father ruining their family, to be with another woman caused her to take it out on his new family. While her father may be married to Jackson's mother, there was no way she considered him family. Were they not related, even if they weren't by blood, she would have found him attractive. He definitely wasn't bad looking, and that made it all the worse. Especially with how little they interacted, she felt that he was a bit overbearing when they were around one another. Something about his smug face would rile her up every time they disagreed about something.

Because of that, she was thankful for the distraction of someone running up to them. As she turned to look, squinting from the bright sun, she realized that she recognized the person bounding towards them.

"Robin?" She questioned, eyes widening as he got closer.

While she knew that he had opted to attend this College, for almost the same reason she chose it as well, she was still pleasantly surprised to see him. At least it would save her from the inquisitive eyes of both her new brother and Calleigh.

"About fifteen minutes," Jackson replied feeling Calleigh gently push his arm. The two of them were close enough to understand each other's actions just a bit below the surface than what others perceived. His hand gradually rubbed the back of his neck as he continued, "Took ya long enough." This statement was pointed at their previous race to get from one side of the campus to the other. It was a competition that unfortunately ended in a vague tie.

Jack momentarily diverted his attention to Blake just before Calleigh could get a reply in. The tension between them could be sensed from just a few feet away. Though, it probably seemed a bit one sided since Jack never really outwardly expressed his feelings much. "You need help setting your place up later?" He asked fully out of goodwill. This was the first time he ever had any kind of sibling. As a result, he decided to at least aim for a casually stable relationship with her.

Naturally, another interruption managed to hinder that small window of opportunity Jack had to try to connect with Blake. Robin? He thought to himself following Blake's gaze to the familiar face running toward them. How did his step-sister know his roommate?

Robin Belmonte Jr.

It all happened so fast. In fact, it was all too fast that Robin couldn't even stop himself from accidentally bumping into a random student. "I'm sorry!" He exclaimed immediately wrapping an arm around the stranger's waist and spinning the both of them twice around to retain some balance. It didn't take long for him to release his grip and find his eyes focused right at the victim. "I owe you big time. What about a subway sandwich? Anything but a report!" Robin worried about getting anything on his clean record before suddenly pausing in his tracks.

This person looked familiar. A little too familiar. The guy thought to himself for a moment as he smiled, "You're unbelievable. Just when I thought you couldn't get any prettier, you vanish from the face of the earth and throw Venus off her throne." Despite the joyful tone, Robin's face undoubtedly looked a bit hurt from being ghosted by one of his high school friends.

For some reason though, Robin felt pain. It was pain at the side of his head as if someone was burning holes right through him. His dark brown eyes shifted around to see who it was only to unsurprisingly find Jackson slightly glaring at the whole situation.

Calleigh stepped out of the way as the guy came barreling towards them and ran straight into Blake. She half expected them to fall down and one of them winding up in the infirmary, but the boy had luck with his reflexes and was able to keep them both from falling. As the guy spoke, realization dawned on her as to who it was. She recognized him from seeing him walking around on the floor of their dorm as Jackson's roommate, Robin Belmonte. Her hand rested on her hip while she listened to Robin apologize profusely to Blake, and she couldn't help but to find it endearing. While she had seen him around campus, and at the dorm, she hadn't really spoken to him to be more than acquaintances. Her eyes flicked towards Jackson, as Robin did, and noted the glare on his face. She raised a brow at him, but otherwise remained silent about it.

"Nice reflexes Robin." She complimented with a smile.

A brief thought of trying to get him to join the track team flitted across her mind, but she ultimately pushed it away as Blake started talking.

BLAKE JAMESON
Jackson's offer to help her unpack left her momentarily at a loss for words, but she was otherwise distracted by the fact that Robin had slammed into her. She let out a yelp of fear at the thought of hitting the sidewalk, but luckily for her Robin was quick on his feet and kept them both standing. Her arms were wrapped tightly around him from the spinning and her bag had been sent flying. Even when they stopped spinning she hesitated on letting go. Leaning back, she gave Robin a hard glare for the displacement.

"You almost killed us!" She piped up, releasing him.

Despite the initial fear of her immediate death by being run over she couldn't help the smile that lit up her face as he recognized her, letting the slight dimples on her cheeks become known. Blake also noticed the look of hurt wash across his face as well and she could only assume it was because she ghosted him for the past year and a half.

"You still have a way with words, Robin." She teased, stepping back up to him to give him a hug. "I'm sorry that I didn't keep in touch... things got kinda rough at home."

Her brown eyes flicked towards Jackson at the last statement, because that was when her family fell apart and shortly after did she earn this new family.

Jackson Deangelo

Jackson slightly tilted his head at Robin and Blake's interaction. At first, he was a bit pissed at Robin for not watching where his hands were going. Then, Jack remembered that he was thinking about Robin. It had been a little over a year since the two had been roommates with one another. If Jack knew anything about the dude it was that he was completely oblivious to anything over PG-13 . . or at least seemed like it. The protective older step-brother relaxed his facial features especially once he saw Blake smile and hug the guy. I swear if it was anyone else I woulda popped a-

Robin Belmonte Jr.
"Jackson!" Robin blurted out trying to get the guy to quit glaring. In return, Robby was greeted by a couple blinks from Jackson. His voice seemed to snap him back to reality. Seriously, had he taught his roommate nothing about negative facial expressions? Robin was known for getting distracted easily, so it wasn't a surprise when Calleigh easily stole his attention away. This young man never even thought that she knew who he was. A smile formed on his face in response, "Thanks it was definitely planned." Of course, full sarcasm was intended.
"A HUG!" Robin announced bringing Blake in for a warm one. It had been a good amount of time since they previously hugged one another. Maybe it was sometime around graduation? The innocent nerd spontaneously picked up Blake out of excitement and turned her in the air. Honestly, it was a gesture that even surprised him. It just so happened that he was one of those guys who hit puberty a bit late.

"Huh? Oh that's okay, I understand," Robin replied gently putting Blake down as he turned his mind away from flashbacks to his frequent senior year voice cracking situations. Him and Blake were good friends, but not best friends. It was natural to know that everyone had their own set of drama to deal with. Robin's hand moved through his hair before his eyes traced Blake's look and landed on Jackson. For a moment, Jackson and Blake were just staring at each other from a short distance. It made Robin feel like he was missing something important.

"Ah, an introduction! Blake, Jackson, Jackson, Blake," Robin gestured to each person slowly losing hope that that was the point he was missing. He observed Jackson's indifferent face just stay that way. Now Robin knew about Jackson's emotionless human heart, but he didn't think that the man would treat a new person as such. " . .Do you two know each other?" Robin finally asked.

CALLEIGH WILLIAMS
Calleigh laughed at his sarcastic comment, her smile staying on her face as she watched the two old friends reunite. When Blake spoke of a rough patch at home, she realized with a shock that she was talking about her parent's divorce. Jackson had given her a brief history of his home life, but she didn't realize that his new sister wasn't as fond of the idea. She resolved to find out at some point, but now was not the time. Her grey eyes flicked down to the watch on her right hand and she gasped. She was going to be late for a track meet.

"Hey, I'm sorry to greet and run, but I've got practice." She apologized, quickly handing Emily her student ID and information as to her dorm room. "We're actually roommates, so I'll see you then!"

Blake nodded, and slipped her ID into her pocked and held her papers to her chest, thanking her. Before she left, she looked over at Jackson and raised a brow.

"Play nice." She teased, knowing that he had a tendency to control situations as she took off at a jog down the sidewalk.

She would have to return the other IDs and paperwork to the Office when she got out of practice.

BLAKE JAMESON
"I was hoping to surprise you with my being here, but I didn't expect you to come barreling into me." She teased, tucking her hair behind her ear and laughing as he swept her into another hug.

When she was finally back on her feet, she took the moment to look him over, noticing that he had changed quite a bit since High School. Back then she didn't think that he would have been able to pick her up. Reminiscing it made her think of how easy it was back then, but it was a dangerous topic for her and she didn't want to shut down around him. Not with Jackson standing right there. She stole a glance over at him, trying to get a read on him. For the most part, she could only tell of the indifference on his face, but something else was there and she couldn't quite place it. Her thoughts were interrupted when Robin started introducing them Blake crossed her arms over her chest as she looked back at Robin.

"Yeah, I know him." She said with a small frown. "He's my new step-brother."

It was still a strange thing to say out loud, as he didn't look or feel anything like a brother to her. They were like strangers to one another. It wasn't as if she didn't know that he went to this school too, but she wasn't going to turn the school down because of her family problems. The College had a great program for game designers and she had an interest in conceptual designs, not necessarily coding games herself.

Robin Belmonte Jr.
"Is this a sick joke?" Robin immediately questioned eyeing the two of them. Were they really trying to pull a fast one on him right now? "Alright, I believe you," He concluded with an open-mind. Even if it was a joke he'd probably play along anyway. Soon enough, Robin noticed Blake's small frown. His eyes suddenly squinted as he searched intently for something on Blake's face. Yes, it was a very Robin thing to do. "Where are they?" Robin continued to look at Blake's face waiting even for a fake smile to arise, "Those dimples?"

BEEP! Robin's watch sounded causing him to distractedly take a glimpse at the time. His finger routinely pressed a button before he looked back at Jackson and Blake. "Well, you two settle down now. I gotta run to get . . a-apples," Robby began fast walking away before adding, "They're like these special apples with cool designs a-and call me -bye!" The guy eventually sprinted off toward one direction completely forgetting about how un-smooth his excuse was just to leave the duo alone.

The reality though was that he had been offered a part in the upcoming play. Ridiculous? Maybe it seemed out of character; however, Robin was never ashamed of his talents. He only wanted to surprise the people who truly supported him.

Jackson Deangelo

Jackson nodded toward Calleigh as he watched her abandon him with his step-sister and roommate. It didn't really matter though since he knew they'd probably meet up again later. Alright, time to wait out the conversation. Thoughts continued to run through Jackson's mind until Robin questioned his and Blake's relationship. Although the two had been roommates for a while now, they knew more about each other's interests than their actual backgrounds. It wasn't that they were uninterested in learning about one another, but it just never came up in conversation . . till now.

"Yeah, we're step-siblings," Jackson agreed feeling especially odd once the words escaped him. His confidence failed to show the awkward vibe he felt though. What's this kid's deal? Jackson thought to himself, while watching Robin try to make Blake smile again. He himself hadn't noticed his own step-sister's slight frown at that moment. Anyway, within a blink of an eye Robin had darted away. That ball full of energy was yelling about something having to do with apples.

"So, do you need help?" Jackson questioned turning his body toward Blake to give her his full attention.

CALLEIGH WILLIAMS
Calleigh made it on time to her track meet, most of the team was there and they started off with a warm-up lap before settling into the more rigorous workouts. So by the time she was finished with the hour long meet, she was tired and ready to shower. As she made her way back to the locker room, she found herself wondering about Jackson and Blake. There seemed to be some tension between them and she couldn't understand why. Sure, they weren't related by blood, but that wasn't what family was about. Calleigh knew that more than anyone. She'd been adopted and loved her family more than she ever could those who gave her up.

After showering and pulling her clothes back on, she decided to head back towards the dorm and took the shortest route, which consisted of her passing by the auditorium. As she did, she could hear people talking inside and she poked her head around as her curiosity got the better of her. Her mother always told her that curiosity killed the cat, and a grin came to her face as she would say that satisfaction brought it back in return. It had earned her the name Cali Cat from her mom. Her grey eyes looked over the room, noting that they were rehearsing for a play.

Despite her working to be a veterinarian, she absolutely loved reading and it was abundantly clear to her that her curiosity knew no bounds, so she slipped into the back and sat down in one of the cushioned chairs to watch.

BLAKE JAMESON
Blake rolled her eyes as he attempted to get her to smile, but she couldn't help it and smiled. His weird antics were something that she always looked forward to when they were in class together. She assumed he had something else he was supposed to be doing, hence why he almost ran into her in the first place.

"BYE!" She yelled after him, only realizing that she didn't have his number to call him.

That left her alone with... him. She felt a little tension as he turned to face her, expecting him to ditch out on her as well. So when he offered his help again, she stood there speechless for a moment.

"I-uh... yeah. I could use the help." She admitted.

Despite her general wariness of him, she didn't hate him and she definitely wasn't going to turn down help to expedite the process of unpacking her bags. Thinking of that, she looked down at the paper in her hand. On it was information about where to get her books and set up her financial aide. Eventually she found the part containing where she would be staying.

"I'm apparently staying in Morgan Hall... floor two." She said, looking up at him. "Do you know where that's at? Calleigh kinda glossed over the building names."

Robin Belmonte Jr.

"Where's Juliet?" Robin questioned the crew as he stepped onto the stage trying to stretch out the shirt he was in. The costume designer had practically forced the guy to try on a Romeo looking shirt from a previous production before having another fitting. "Line!" The director yelled assuming that Robin was beginning to incorrectly recite a scene. Besides, Juliet was supposed to be looking for Romeo not the other way around. "Phil, I'm serious. Where's Jessica?" Robin asked still pulling his shirt in all sorts of directions. It was obvious that he disliked the sensation of feeling too constrained by rough costume materials.

"Robin just-" The costume designer's words were cut off once the sound of a tear especially caught his attention. Robin easily removed the shirt disgusted by the feeling it gave him, "See bro, this is what happens when I say it doesn't fit." With that, he tossed the ripped shirt to the puzzled designer. "Romeo get a shirt on! We aren't at that scene yet. SOMEONE PLEASE FIND THAT JULIET!" The director commanded left and right only to see cast as well as crew scramble around.

Jackson Deangelo
"Hell yeah, let's go," Jackson smugly replied to Blake as he began walking in a seemingly random direction. Hopefully this whole help with moving gesture would make the two step-siblings a lot closer than people observed them to be. "So you're in Calleigh's room. I know you don't really enjoy my presence, but sorry to say that I might be visiting often," He stated truthfully and rather straight to the point. Jack was never one to beat around any bush. One of his hands slid into his pockets before smoothly whipping out his phone. "Robin's number is here with our room. Come by any time, just knock," Jack said unlocking his screen and handing the device over to Blake.

Since she was technically his younger sister, Jackson might as well treat her like blood. Then without warning, the man stopped in his tracks prior to entering Morgan Hall. He gradually tilted his head toward Blake before speaking in a low voice, "And if anyone disrespects you. Let me know."

After that, Jack casually carried on with his walk into the building.

CALLEIGH WILLIAMS
Calleigh frowned as she watched them start to panic over someone not being there. Based on what she could hear, she was excited to find out that they were working on a rendition of Romeo and Juliet, but that excitement turned to worry as she wondered where their lead could be. Surely they would show up. While that was happening, she heard the rip of fabric and sat up on the chair, leaning on the seat in front of her.

It dawned on her that she recognized the person who was causing the most commotion. It was Robin. She found it oddly interesting that he was into Fine Arts like the Theater. Then again, she wasn’t one to talk since she was an athlete that enjoyed it as well.

With a sigh, she figured the least she could do was offer help on finding this Jessica. She stood and walked down the aisle towards the stage. She got a few looks in wonder as to what she was doing here, so she felt the need to pipe up her reason.

“I don’t mean to intrude, but can I help you find someone?” She asked as she got within earshot of the director.

BLAKE JAMESON
Blake gasped in surprise as he started off and quickly followed after him. When he spoke of her not enjoying his presence she sighed.

“It’s not that I don’t like it, it’s just a little weird to think of you as a brother.” She said, before adding quickly, “No offense.”

She fumbled with his phone for a moment as he thrust it into her hand. With her other she pulled her own out and quickly entered in both Calleigh and Robins number. After entering them in, she realized that she didn’t have his number and felt a little awkward to ask him for it. So she sent herself a text with his phone so she’d have his number as well.

She started to hand his phone back, but wound up almost running into him as he stopped and turned to her before they entered the building.

“I do know how to fend for myself you know.” She commented as she entered the building, catching up to walk beside him and offered his phone back

Robin bent down before swiping up a shirt with his left hand and swiftly wearing it all in one motion. His intention was not to inconvenience the costume designer in any way. However, he did warn the frugal man about his size comparison to the costume. The director turned her attention to the blonde who was offering some help in finding the missing Juliet. Just as she parted her lips to reply, the whole room suddenly went still. The silence was so loud that anyone could hear a pin drop. Robin stared along with the rest of the group as Jessica walked in with crutches and an arm sling.

After everyone checked on Jessica's well-being, they waited for her to leave before officially wrecking havoc. "POST AUDITIONS FOR JULIET AGAIN!" The director commanded sitting back on her high canvas chair. Her cold blue gaze landed on the bystander who seemed to be having an all access backstage pass. "We need a temporary stand-in. You are either in or out," The director stated to Calleigh implying that people uninvolved in cast or crew were not supposed to be spoiling the play.

Robin once again stepped onto the stage with his eyes focused on the watch wrapped around his wrist. After shortly scanning the room for no apparent reason, he eventually caught a glimpse of Calleigh at the side of his eye realizing that she was conversing with the director only a short distance away. What was she doing there? Should I hide? I should hide. Robin thought to himself not realizing that Calleigh probably already spotted him. Regardless, the guy quickly ducked behind a prop tree and stayed there until he heard any command from the director.

Jackson Deangelo
Jackson took his phone back then slid the device into his pocket. "Wouldn't hurt to have some back up every once in a while, right?" He raised a brow at Blake before turning the corner. Surely the woman was independent. Hey, at least Jackson made his accessibility known. In a way, this could be seen as some sort of step-sibling tension relief. Besides, if a situation was to get far too out of hand for Blake, he wanted her to know that she would have someone to call . . aside from Robby.

Jackson stoped in front of the room and looked over his shoulder at his step-sister. "Here we are, your highness," He smirked leaning against the door frame giving her some space to unlock the room.

CALLEIGH WILLIAMS
Calleigh attempted to help locate the girl with them, but didn't expect the Jessica they were talking about to walk in with crutches and a sling. She grimaced, knowing that definitely wasn't a good thing, since she was sure that the Spring show was set to go on in a few weeks. The sound of the director yelling again brought her eyes back over to the rest of the cast. They looked frantic and more stressed than they had been when she walked in. Suddenly the director turned towards her and gave her an ultimatum.

"I can help until you find someone to play her. I'm good at reading lines." She offered.

"Oh, thank you." The director said, visibly relived. "You'll read the part for Juliet until we can get her re-cast. Thankfully this is just rehearsal."

"Of course, I'm happy to help." Calleigh smiled.

"Arthur will get you set up, ARTHUR!" the directer said, causing Calleigh to jump when she called for Arthur.

He showed up quickly enough and was briefed that Calliegh would be a temporary stand in until they could get another Juliet cast. Auditions for her would be held two days from now, here in the auditorium. He nodded and indicated for Calleigh to follow him. While she did, she took the moment to glance around backstage. While she'd attended many of the plays that Great Lake had put on, she never thought about auditioning. Funnily enough, for someone who wasn't scared of heights or extreme sports she has a difficult time talking in front of an audience. Arthur handed her a book with her lines highlighted, showing her where they would be starting. They were rehearsing Act 2, so she waited offstage and read her lines while the rest of the cast resumed the scene.

"Romeo, my cousin Romeo! Romeo!" A male called out, pretending to look for someone.

"He is wise, and, on my life, hath stol'n him home to bed." Another said, following him out onstage.

"He ran this way and leapt this orchard wall. Call, good Mercutio." The first replied.

"Nay, I’ll conjure too! Romeo! Humours, madman, passion, lover! Appear thou in the likeness of a sigh! Speak but one rhyme, and I am satisfied. Cry but “Ay me!” Pronounce but “love” and “dove.” Speak to my gossip Venus one fair word, One nickname for her purblind son and heir, Young Abraham Cupid, he that shot so true When King Cophetua loved the beggar maid.— He heareth not, he stirreth not, he moveth not. The ape is dead, and I must conjure him.— I conjure thee by Rosaline’s bright eyes, By her high forehead and her scarlet lip, By her fine foot, straight leg, and quivering thigh, And the demesnes that there adjacent lie, That in thy likeness thou appear to us." Mercutio said.

Calleigh looked back over the script as the spoke, realizing they were cast as Mercutio and Benvolio. Shaking her head, she went back to trying to read her lines so she would do them some justice. She could feel the pressure, and it helped her to focus oddly enough.

"An if he hear thee, thou wilt anger him." Benvolio informed.

"This cannot anger him. 'Twould anger him To raise a spirit in his mistress' circle Of some strange nature, letting it there stand Till she had laid it and conjured it down. That were some spite. My invocation Is fair and honest. In his mistress' name I conjure only but to raise up him." Mercutio responded with a roll of his eyes.

"Come, he hath hid himself among these trees, To be consorted with the humorous night. Blind is his love and best befits the dark." Benvolio persuaded.

If love be blind, love cannot hit the mark. Now will he sit under a medlar tree And wish his mistress were that kind of fruit As maids call medlars when they laugh alone.— O Romeo, that she were! Oh, that she were An open arse, and thou a poperin pear. Romeo, good night. I’ll to my truckle bed." Mercutio said to the audience, then turned back to Benvolio. "This field-bed is too cold for me to sleep.— Come, shall we go?"

"Go, then, for ’tis in vain To seek him here that means not to be found." Benvolio agreed as they exited stage to set up for the next scene.

Calleigh knew that was her cue, and she walked up a stairway for a custom built balcony for the scene. She still kept the script with her, because despite how much she tried to take in, she knew that she wouldn't remember it all in a few minutes. There, she waited until her cue to walk into view.

BLAKE JAMESON
"I guess so." She reluctantly agreed.

Blake made a resolution to make a few more friends she could count on, so she wouldn't have to rely on him to get her out of a sticky situation. She assumed it would please him to know that she was incapable of holding her own. As they walked through the hallways, and up a flight of stairs, she noted that there was not as many people strolling about as she would have expected. With spring break coming to a close, she expected more people to have been back by now. She frowned at the thought of being completely bored before classes started up again. However, Robin was here so she was sure they could at least hang out and catch up.

While lost in thought she realized too late that Jackson had come to a stop in front of a room and spoke and she attempted to stop, but stumbled in the process and collided with him. Briefly she noted that his cologne was nice before embarrassment took over and she quickly righted herself as a red tint spread on her cheeks. Her right hand rubbed her left forearm awkwardly as she avoided looking at him.

"Sorry, I didn't realize you stopped." She mumbled, glancing into the room.

Robin Belmonte Jr.

"Robby . . Robby!" A voice echoed through Robin's mind just as he was awoken by a light shake on the shoulder. The guy had fallen asleep behind the prop tree he was hiding by. Fortunately, Benvolio was a real good friend. Robin silently thanked his fellow actor completely forgetting about the reason why he had fallen asleep behind a tree in the first place. Perhaps he was just getting into character?

Robin stood up and stretched enough to slightly tap his knuckle against the tree. Acting was never really his number one talent; however, he did find it to be somewhat fun. In all honesty though, Robby himself thought that Romeo was out of his league. The tree might have been a better role for him. At that thought, Robin's gaze shifted to the tall prop beside him. Ha, who was he kidding? Robby could never stand still for that long!

"AND ACTION!" The director bellowed before flipping her notebook to the next page. Ideally the actors would just roll through the play with the whole "action" thing. Since they were still rehearsing with some weeks to spare though, the director decided to break down each scene with pure scrutiny.

Robin stepped onto the stage in character without hesitation. For this specific setting, the set designer placed some plants in his way. "He jests at scars that never felt a wound," His brows slightly furrowed with his words. If anyone outside of set was watching, they'd probably never guess he could be so serious.

Now all he had to do was wait for Juliet to enter. Juliet! Robin thought to himself as he attempted not to widen his eyes at the sudden recollection of earlier's events. What followed shortly after truly surprised him. Calleigh's entrance onto the balcony pulled one heck of an authentic reaction from this Romeo. Robin's world stopped without warning. Maybe it was the lighting? "But soft! What light through yonder window breaks?" The actor questioned subconsciously trying to make sense of the moment. That split second seemed to happen in slow motion rubbing off some kind of feeling as he recited, "It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, Who is already sick and pale with grief, That thou, her main, art far more fair than she. Be not her maid since she is envious. Her vestal livery is but sick and green, And none but fools do wear it. Cast it off!" Robin almost naturally incorporated the blocking that they had practiced since the second week. The fact that he wasn't speaking to Jessica might have been what was mentally throwing him off. I've never spoken to Jessica. I've always spoken with Juliet. His mind ran with those two thoughts not wanting to screw the scene up for the already stressed out director.

"It is my lady. Oh, it is my love. Oh, that she knew she were! She speaks, yet she says nothing. What of that? Her eye discourses. I will answer it. I am too bold. 'Tis not to me she speaks. Two of the fairest stars in all the heaven, Having some business, do entreat her eyes To twinkle in their spheres till they return. What if her eyes . .," Robin continued his words throughout the entire monologue. He definitely snapped back to reality once Romeo's words began to get all lovey though.

Jackson Deangelo
Jackson lowered his gaze to his sister before momentarily furrowing his brows. For some reason, Blake's face had a bit of a red tint spread around it. "Are you feeling hot?" He asked a bit concerned about whether she was catching something from the fluctuating California weather. As if by instinct, Jackson lightly placed his hand against her cheek and checked for a temperature.

Jackson blinked and moved his hand back to his side. She seemed fine. Maybe she was just blushing? But about what? About who? Jackson thought to himself slightly looking away from Blake. His hand rubbed the back of his neck as he stood up straight. "What can I help you with around here?" He questioned slowly returning his gaze to her.

CALLEIGH WILLIAMS
Okay, she definitely hadn't expected Robin to be Romeo. It threw her for a loop, but it didn't completely stun her. Now that she thought about it, he did seem like someone who would be into acting. She resolved to question him about it later in the dorm.

"Ay me!" Calleigh declared with a breathy tone as she stepped out onto the balcony.

She had seen the play before, and was forced to read it in high school, so she knew this scene well enough to not completely destroy it's meaning. While she didn't have the weeks of practice on perfecting the act, she thought she did quite well. Her voice was hesitant, as she hadn't read the lines but ten minutes ago, and she was a little slower on her delivery. Nothing that time wouldn't improve if she had a mind to pursue it. She felt lucky that it was a scene that she mostly remembered from the movies about it, so she was able to give a believable performance by imitating what she had seen before.

"O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name. Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, And I’ll no longer be a Capulet..."

There was a few times that she stumbled over her lines and apologized for it, but she was able to power through it. Some lines she was able to deliver with the needed emotion, whereas some were lacking. In the end, the directer nodded her approval and called them back down for a meeting.

"While today didn't go as I had planned, you all were marvelous in your roles." She said, pushing her glasses up onto her head and turning towards Calleigh, who was seated on the edge of the stage with her legs dangling off. "I do hope that you will audition for the part of Juliet."

Calleigh made a noncommittal noise in response, which was enough for the director, and she dismissed them for the evening. Calleigh let out a sigh as she jumped down from the stage, looking around for Arthur to return the book to.

BLAKE JAMESON
Her eyes widened as he reached over and pressed his hand to her cheek and she pulled back. She avoided his gaze by looking into her room as he spoke. Glancing into the room, she noticed that it was a two bedroom dorm. One of the beds was already made and half of the room decorated with posters, trophies, and ribbons. Some clothes were scattered about, but nothing too unkempt. She wondered who was sharing the room with her. Her side was clean and held no indication that anyone was using it.

"I still need to bring my things up from the parking lot." She comment.

Most of her belongings were still in her truck that she had drove up. It had more space than a car, as she had quite a selection of things she'd brought. On the way up, she had counted a total of four doors on this side of the floor so she wondered who else shared the space with them. She knew it was a co-ed living situation, since there were other people bringing things in and walking about. She turned suddenly and started back down the hallway, in the direction they had come only to stop abruptly as she almost ran into someone. A flash of irritation washed over her face, wondering if that was going to be her fate this year; running into people.

"Whoa, watch it mate." A male commented rather rudely before actually looking at who he had spoken to. "I mean, sorry about that. You alright?"

"Yes." Blake responded, her tone guarded as she looked at them.

She was a little put off with how quickly the male had changed his tone upon realizing that she was a girl.

"You must be new here, name's Jace." He said, extending his hand out to her.

"Blake." She said, crossing her hands over her chest.

Robin Belmonte Jr.

Robin tilted his water bottle back and casually waited for the remaining drops to trickle down as the director finished her words. Just another day at rehearsal, but he honestly didn't see all of this coming. Calleigh hopped down the stage when she entered Robin's peripheral vision. A smirk made its way to his face at the same time he sat down at the edge of the platform. "Temporary Juliet, huh?" Robin started as he pushed himself off and walked from one side of Calleigh to another. "Are you following me?" He raised a brow joking with her of course. After all, she was at the tour before his spontaneous entrance.

Calleigh did pretty well for someone who didn't have acting down as their main interest. In fact, she would probably do great at the auditions. "She's right though. You should auditi-," Robin paused cutting himself off in the midst of a complete thought. There was a bit stomping around the bush during the rehearsals that Robin had struggled with. These scenes primarily had to do with the involvement of "intense emotion." Apparently the director could see right through him. However, his cast-mates still thought that his performance was above average. "Audition! You should audition," Robin completed overcoming the random stream of reminders.

Jackson Deangelo
Jackson watched as Blake started down the hallway before shortly following after her. Something in particular caught his attention though. A random piece of trash somehow managed to fly into the building and get momentarily blown onto his step-sister's body. Admittedly, this occurrence caught Jack off guard. Hm, it's actually a guy. He thought to himself as he indifferently passed by the two humans to let them socialize. It seemed like no problem especially since Blake needed some friends at the university anyway.

Here was the real question though. Did Jack already not like the guy? Yes. Snap out of it man! Jackson coached himself casually walking out the building's doors.

CALLEIGH WILLIAMS
Calleigh grinned as he started teasing her and she decided to roll with it.

“Yes, I was so enamored by your fantastic display of dexterity that I decided then and there that I would follow you go the end of the earth. Even if that meant acting in a play.” She feigned, before laughing. “No, I was originally planning on going back to the dorm to check on Jacks and Blake. This is the quickest route.”

Her brow raised as he spoke about the auditions, yet he paused in the middle of the sentence and she briefly wondered if he was having an absence seizure. However he recovered quickly and she thought about what he said. Could she audition for the play? Yes, that would be easy. And if she got the part? Not many things scared her, but public speaking was one of them.

“I don’t know, there are probably better girls out there.” She said, a wistful look on her face. “You think I’d be a good Juliet?”

BLAKE JAMESON
After a few more seconds of awkward conversation, Blake and Jace split ways and she hurried out of the building and towards the parking lot, catching up to Jackson on the quad.

“Please tell me that guy doesn’t live on the floor with us.” She said as she approached him.

Thankfully with most of the students gone, she was able to snag a good parking spot. She noted that she would have to move her truck closer to Morgan Hall, rather than in front of the quad. Pulling out her keys, she led the way to a rusty red truck. It wasn’t in the best condition, but it was a present she got from her grandpa for when she got her drivers license.

“I hope you don’t mind if we park it closer to the dorm?” She asked, unlocking the driver’s side door. “I’d prefer not to have to make the trips longer than needed.”

Robin Belmonte Jr.

Robin slightly furrowed his brows at Calleigh's question. Did he think she would be a good Juliet? Heck- "NO!" The guy shook his head, but shortly stopped as he made eye contact with his new acquaintance, "I think you'd be perfect." An authentic smile followed shortly after their scene flashed through his mind. In truth, Calleigh wasn't bad. There was something about her vibe that made Robin guess she'd really commit to the part though. As a talent, Calleigh had a lot of potential.

Robin moved a hand through his hair and looked around the area. Not auditioning for Juliet would be a lost opportunity. Maybe she just needs some help? "I could bounce back some lines with you!" The young man offered while picking up his script from a chair. Calleigh technically had more than one advantage over the other potential Juliets. "Look, you have your Romeo you just need to be my Juliet," Robin stated rather seriously flipping through the script making sure it was his. It was true. Robin was Romeo. What better than to practice with the one who was going to act with you? "Only if you want to of course," Robin added momentarily glancing at her before putting the script away in a drawstring backpack.

His hands quickly pulled the ropes and slung it over his shoulder, "How was practice?"

Jackson Deangelo
"Wouldn't know," Jackson calmly responded without even looking at his step-sister. He never really kept track of the people living on his floor except for the few he bothered to talk to. Blake led the way to her truck with all the items in it and Jack followed right beside her. He smiled a bit as they approached the vehicle. "Ah, this old beauty," He commented before getting into the rusty truck. Even if Jack had only seen the truck once, he knew that it was one of Blake's treasures. "We could do that," Jack snapped his seatbelt on and leaned back waiting for Blake to start the car.

CALLEIGH WILLIAMS
Her brows shut up at his exclamation, shocked at his blunt response. While she found it a bit offensive, she was definitely impressed on his ability to speak his mind without fear of retaliation. However, she was pleased that he corrected himself and thought she’d do great. She appreciated it, but she wasn’t sure she’d be able to stand in front of an audience. It was easier to do that with sports, because she could focus on the burning of her muscles instead of all of the eyes on her, wondering if she’d mess up. She opened her mouth to say so, but he was already offering to help her rehearse. Maybe it wouldn’t be as bad as she was hyping it up to be.

“Yeah, I’ll give it a shot.” She agreed, “Besides, at least I’ll give the others someone to try to beat.”

Calleigh held her script book down by her hip while Robin put his away.

“Practice was practice. A little boring, but the team is coming along great.” She replied animatedly, “We might have a shot of beating Whitman Tech his year.”

If allowed, she would go on about anything sport related, but she opted to save Robin the lecture. Besides, finding out that him and Blake knew one another, she had a different topic she thought would interest him.

“Hey, your friend Blake? She’s my roommate.” She said, stopping by her original seat and grabbing her duffel bag and slinging it up over her shoulder before leading the way out of the theater.

BLAKE JAMESON
Blake smiled as he commented about her truck. She ran a hand over the hood as she walked to the driver’s side.

“Yeah, I’m surprised she made it all the way here.” She commented, opening the door. “I am going to have to get it looked at. Started making a weird noise about ten miles out.”

As she said, when she started up the truck and started to drive there was a consistent knocking noise that could be overlooked had she not pointed it out. Blake wasn’t too happy that her truck was starting to go out, even more grumpy about the fact she was going to have to get some sort of side job to pay for the repair.

“So... uh, does this place have a shop class? I’m sure they’d charge me less for something to earn a credit for.” She asked, attempting to keep them from falling into an uncomfortable silence.

Robin Belmonte Jr.

Robin awaited Calleigh's response as he adjusted the ropes over his shoulders. The sweet sound of her taking on the challenge prompted him to smile, "That's the spirit!" Now they just had to schedule a few meet ups before the actual audition. When was the audition? Robin placed a hand on his chin and exhibited a pensive look. Would I really be helpful?

Robin nodded as Calleigh began speaking about her experience at practice. She seemed like a great team player. "Whitman?" Robin paused in his tracks recollecting the time he was placed on that university's waitlist. The horror. He thought to himself as his gaze followed Calleigh.

"Oh yeah Blake! We met in high school. She's great. A real artist in my opinion," Robin sped up his walking pace a bit so that he was right by her side by the time they were a couple steps outside the theater. "I bet she'll put up one of her drawings in your room and say that it was store bought," He added while matching Calleigh's pace. It was no surprise to him that Blake kept her artistic talent to herself. She usually seemed closed off. That was of course until Robin broke through her walls. Wait, did he?

"Your friend Jackson? He's my roommate," Robin mentioned returning the same favor to Calleigh.

Jackson Deangelo
Jackson blinked during the very short period of silence between Blake and him. The silence wasn't awkward to him at all. Although, the slight tension present in the air probably tweaked the feeling a bit. "Could just be a loose valve from a worn out part," He suggested glancing over at Blake. In all honesty, the guy would enjoy taking the truck apart. This situation was different though. The field would be three times more sensitive than working on the average car. "Robin and I could take a look at it for you before recommending you to a few legit shops around here," Jackson shifted his focus back on the road. He was daring, but not to the point where he could possibly break Blake's truck. Even if the chance was slim, Jack still wouldn't put their newly founded mutualism on the line. Plus with that truck's condition it would be better to send it over to actual professionals anyway.

CALLEIGH WILLIAMS
”I’ll definitely have to her one from her if she’s as good as you say.” Calleigh commented, “Before she gets famous.”

She gave him a smile as they made their way back to Morgan Hall. While they lived on the same floor, she realized that she didn’t know much about him aside from the fact that he was into acting. As he commented about Jackson being his roommate she couldn’t help but laugh softly.

“You realize I live on the same floor as you both?” She said, looking over at him with a raised brow.

After she spoke, a voice called out to her. Jerry grey eyes flicked up towards them, noting that it was two of the football players.

“Hey Williams! Party at the Sigma house tomorrow night!” One called out.

She gave a noncommittal wave and continued walking with Robin.

“They always throw the most ridiculous parties. Always memorable though.” She mused then looked back at Robin, “Oh, at least it’ll be easy to pin you down for a rehearsal since we’re on the same floor.”

BLAKE JAMESON
Blake drove in silence as he spoke, keeping both her hands on the wheel as she stared ahead. Her gaze shifted to the side as he offered to take a look at it for her. She started to refuse, but figured it would be in her best interest to accept. She knew her reluctance to bond was most on her end, but she wasn’t ready to face that problem yet.

“Thank you, I would appreciate that.” She said, pulling into the lot in front of their dorm.

Turning the engine off, she gave her door a shove with her shoulder to open it. She definitely needed to oil the joints sometime soon. It was getting a little harder to open. However she didn’t comment about it and only shut the door. The bed of her truck was loaded with a dozen boxes of various sizes. She popped the tailgate down and hopped up into the bed of the truck and moved a couple towards the edge.

“So what are you studying?” She asked, attempting small talk.

"Of course I realize you live on the same floor as us. Calleigh, you turn heads when you walk into a room," Robin casually mentioned. He was walking with Calleigh when a couple of big dudes called her last name out. His gaze immediately focused on the two who seemed to be some kind of athletes. Sigma? The sum of all . . NO! Robin mentally punched himself at the sudden thought of mathematical equations over the obvious fact that the guy was referring to a greek fraternity. Party, of course. The nerd lightly blew some air out before moving a hand through his hair. It wasn't really the first time an invite flew right by him.

Robin cleared his throat and laughed a bit, "Yeah, I'm just a knock away." He paused for a moment realizing that Calleigh had the chance of knocking without him actually being present in the room. That would be inconvenient. "Can I have your number?" Robin asked slightly tilting his head to the side. Yep, that would probably be the easiest way to get in contact anyway.

Jackson Deangelo
Jackson felt the truck come to a stop as he snapped his seatbelt off. Honestly, he was kind of surprised that Blake had accepted his help so easily. One of his hands grabbed the door handle and effortlessly popped it open. Blake usually cut him off before he could even start. The fact that he was even helping her now would have been a shocker to their parents.

Jack walked over behind the truck and grabbed the closest box next to him. "Business Administration. What about you?" He questioned in return at the same time as placing a smaller box on top of the closer one.

CALLEIGH WILLIAMS
”I never see you at any of the parties.” Calleigh said, brushed her hair from her face as she looked at him, “They not your style or...?”

At his request for her number she stopped and pulled out her phone, unlocked it, and offered it to him.

”Give me your phone.” She said, holding out her hand as they neared the dorm.

While waiting for the phone her eyes drifted across the parking lot, Calleigh spotted Jackson in the parking lot.

“Looks like they might need some help,” she commented as she watched them stack boxes and waved to them before looking back at Robin. “Time to put those strong arms of yours to work.”

BLAKE JAMESON
”Game design.” She grunted, pulling a few more boxes to the edge of the tailgate.

Blake pushed a few more boxes close to the edge before hopping down. She realized that talking to him wasn’t as bad as she had originally perceived. It gave her hope that things might be somewhat bearable between them. However she definitely wasn’t about to suddenly become best friends with him. As she looked back towards the dorm she saw a couple people standing there, one of them waved at them.

She reached up and scraped her hair into a ponytail before grabbing a box and following him across the parking lot.

“Looks like we might have more help.” Blake commented.

Robin Belmonte Jr.

"Yeah, might enjoy a board game with friends more than a party," Robin responded truthfully having never been to a college party before. His hand fumbled inside his pocket just after Calleigh practically demanded his phone from him. In an instant, Robin pulled it out and switched phones with her. He was inputting his number when Calleigh spoke about people needing help. The last digit was saved before Robin looked up to see who she was talking about.

"BLAKE!" Robin called out suddenly forgetting about everything he and Calleigh were talking about. At this point he had given Calleigh's phone back to her and was waving both of this hands in the air. It wasn't really that hard to distract the guy especially whenever someone new came into the picture. "Come on!" He gently grabbed Calleigh's free hand and began running, "Last one there has to do a dare!" With that, Robin let go and began sprinting for his life. It was all a game to him.

Jackson Deangelo
Jackson held a tight grip onto the lower of the two boxes and lifted the short stack off the truck. "What games do you play?" He adjusted his grip before starting towards the dorm. Video games were definitely not new to him especially since he used to play a ton as a kid. Was he as experience as Robin? Probably not; however, Jack would sometimes join his roommate in a game or two. Blake's comment caused Jack to recognize Calleigh and Robby's figures from a distance. Actually, it wasn't much of a distance since Robin kept getting closer to them as the clock ticked.
