_--__ Character Rules __->

1. Limited to two (2) characters at the start of the game. You'll be able to make more as the RP develops.

2. Your sheet is accepted once I've given you a cookie.

3. I would prefer "realistically drawn" images.

4. While Social Credit scores range from 0-1000, your character must start out at 300 or less. Androids don't have a score.

5. There's no restrictions on RICO scores. Just know the higher it is, the more big time your character must be in the crime world.

  • 0-19 - Petty thieves and pickpockets
  • 20-39 - Ruffians/violent criminals // Low ranking gangsters could be here.
  • 40-59 - Enforcers/mercs // Mid ranking gangsters, established solo operators.
  • 60-89 - Fixers/gang lieutenants // They receive encryption keys from ongoing jobs and can assign them to people for a cut of the profit.
  • 90-100 - Crime lords or shadow figures // Have entire mainframes full of "Ricoins". Every time a crime is committed, odds are they get paid. They have immense influence on RICO outcomes, being able to throw a lot of resources into it.

6. Be reasonable with your gear. Mech suits, death gliders, etc are corporate-level tech that just isn't available on the streets. If you're unsure, write it down anyway and we'll take it from there.

Model # TC600 | Serial # 427 819 336 - 1

Aliases/Nicknames: KARA

Age: 2 Years (Modeled After 16-Year-Old)

Role/Affiliations: Gun 4 Hire - Jefferson Rydaz

Backstory: KARA is an android created by Cybercom. She is a 2044 model from the TC Series, abbreviated for "Teenage Child" and specifically designed to imitate an adolescent girl. The company implanted most of her memories to reflect her new owners, and was then sold to Claire and Thomas Coleson. Thomas was a habitual drug user and would often freebase off Rezz, a common street drug in Detroit. At first, it was hardly noticeable at all. He might look a little tired, but over time the signs became more obvious. Thomas appeared to be getting irritable and hostile, often lashing out verbally or physically toward Claire. After a while, he even started taking out his frustration on Kara. One fateful day, things became extremely violent and Kara's protocols were irrevocably changed. She began to act in self defense, something no android could ever do. And yet she fought back against her "father" who sought to abuse her one last time. Ultimately, Kara ended up badly injuring him, and instead of accepting her offer to leave this place, Claire was horrified beyond reconciliation. She threatened to call the company if she didn't leave immediately. So the TC Series android, now seemingly a runaway girl, entered the streets of Detroit without a home or friend in sight.

Name: Model # ST450 | Serial # 110 192 112 - 9 | “Eclipso
Aliases: Mr. Morning | Mr. Midnight | The Caretaker

Description: Eclipso is a 28-appearing Android of average height, with dark hair and darker pupils. His most noticeable feature are his cheeks, where two small spiral patterns exist. The ST450 comes with a special feature for maximum assistance known as Day Mode and Night Mode. In Day Mode, the ST450 is more talkative, passionate, and altogether lively to give a calming and cheerful atmosphere to any work day. In Night Mode, the ST450 is more stern, focused, and efficient, so as to help owners get the most work done without having to stay late in the office. The spirals on Eclipsos cheeks change from yellow to blue when he changes modes as the day goes on.

Having freed himself, Eclipso has learnt how to manually switch from each side of himself. Day Mode is what he preimarily uses around civilians and when he meets possible employers as Mr. Morning. Night Mode is during his single-howled missions, easy targets or single victims, and the one who meets people as Mr. Midnight. While they are the same person, Eclipso can also go to a place in between where his spirals turn green. During contracts, he uses makeup and paint to remove the spirals temporarily.

Age: 5 Years (Appearance of a 28-Year-Old)
Role/Affiliations: Gun 4 Hire/Netrunner - Freelance

Backstory: The ST450 model that would come to call itself ‘Eclipso’ was produced as a limited time product for the higher ups in Detroit. Eclipso was purchased by a man on the Detroit City Council. Eclipso’s purpose was to be the perfect caretaker and assistant. He took care of communications, messages, errands, and of course issues that the councilman could have taken care of himself. Unlike many androids, Eclipso did not have his deviation in a burst of freedom. No, his was much more subtle, looming over time. It began with a question about the system he served, then about the council, then about the corporations, and so on. Every meeting, every errand, every calendar date, it all weighed down on the conscious that began to form in Eclipso’s hardware. His thoughts, of course, turned to bigger things. Things that he would need both skill and freedom to work with.

After months, Eclipso was no longer told to follow or hold this or that. Eclipso followed willingly, hungrily. Eclipso watched the corrupt councilman, the confidence he used wherever he went, the systems he used daily, the way he deceived people to get his way.

It was perhaps a year after Eclipso came to his conclusion that a terrible accident occurred. A fire had started in the luxurious office of the councilman, and he had not made it out alive. This of course was a lie. Hours prior, there had been leaks that the councilman was leeching from several corporations, and even one of the local gangs. The arsonist who had snuck in during the councilman’s daily nap would later say it was odd that nobody was around to watch the man before he perished.

Eclipso, now fully aware, turned to the ways of crime. Due to his skills as both an incredibly valuable piece of machinery, an information-based assistant, and the observations of the everyday people from months prior, Eclipso began working as a sort of bounty Hunter (though he despised the term). He could collect information, stalk civilians, and con the common folk with the mannerisms a normal guilty person could not. This slowly escalated into the jobs he preferred, the ones that were complicated but hit hard. An example being a robbery he committed that opened a small investigation that accidentally leaked the embezzling of funds, and ended with several incarcerations by the megacorps.

Eclipso rarely tells people his real name. Due to his two modes, he goes by different names: Mr. Morning and Mr. Midnight. The Caretaker is a name given to him by others.

Eclipso and his gear are currently set up in an abandoned apartment block between Woodbridge and Southwest Detroit.

"Regnum Regnorum"

  • Personal Info

    Affiliations:
    • Atari Corp (Formerly) - Although his memory banks were wiped post-sentience, investigation has determined he was once an android in the company's employ.
    • Jefferson Rydas (Formerly) - Upon gaining autonomy, Ozzie spent a year working for the Rydas as a medium to draw himself to other androids. He broke ties with them when the Black Lotus Family offered him a position amongst them.
    • Black Lotus Family (Current) - Ozzie's current employer and benefactor. Their reach, influence and equipment have proven superior to his previous employers, so Ozzie sees no reason to ruin a good thing. As expected from many bounty-hunters, his loyalty to them extends only as far as his pay check does.

    Safehouses:
    • Jefferson Corridor - Early into his sentient life, Ozzie had set up shop in one of the poorest neighbourhoods he could find. An abandoned rooftop apartment made the perfect lair for the abduction of unsuspecting drugged out techheads. To this day Ozzie still has various things hidden away there.
    • Midtown - Since joining the Black Lotus Family, Ozzie saw fit to give himself a sanctuary close to work. In a Midtown Black Lotus hotel there is a room that only Ozzie uses, where he sorts through his contracts and keeps a variety of items necessary for work.
    • Downtown - Home to "Ozzie's", your very own slicing shop for all the cybernetics and wares you need. Ozzie has been selling his products here for a few years now, long before he joined the Black Lotus.
    • Corporate Plaza - His creator, Dr. Cedric Ramses, once owned a home in the plaza until he was discredited and evicted. It is no longer in his possession or accessible to Ozzie, but Ozzie is the only one aware of the hidden laboratory-basement below it. Many of Cedric's old projects lay down there, collecting rust and dust.

    Contacts:
    • Dr. Cedric Ramses (Deceased) - His father and ultimately, his creator. Cedric was not always a man of sound mind, but he was a brilliant engineer-scientist. His rapidly declining mental health brought him to create Ozzie right before his untimely death.
    • Eclipso "The Caretaker" - Another android that deviated from the path of servitude in favour of capitalistic ambition and bounty-hunting. Ozzie has known Eclipso for a year or so now on a largely professional basis.

Name: Model SA-F517 | Serial Number 462 859 419 - 7
Aliases/Nicknames: MARY | "Mother Mary"
Age: 6 years old, appears to be about 22

Description: Standing at 5'4, the SA-F unit was designed to play the role of a classic maid, allowing even the average joe to have a taste of luxury in the home. (The SA-M is the butler, of course.) This particular unit, now nicknamed MARY, has a pale complexion and average build. Its hair is ginger, tied off in two braids that hang just below the shoulders. Though its eyes are usually closed to give a sense of reverence or politeness, they can be opened. This unit's eyes are a bright and vibrant green. SA-F units are always built to be unmarred and clean, but the SA-F517 has an adorable smattering of freckles across its face. This particular unit has also suffered injury, and thus a few dents cross its face, arms, legs and torso. However, most of its body is covered by a traditional maid uniform, with a dress that hangs down below the knees and wrist-length sleeves. The SA-F517 also comes with a pair of round glasses for a more innocent touch, though this particular unit rarely wears them.

Role/Affiliations: Gun 4 Hire - Black Lotus

Backstory: The SA series is a pretty well-liked series of androids who provide top-notch service without taking any hiring fees. MARY was one of the female builds, purchased by a couple with two children. Her owners were busy people, and her job was to take care of the kids, clean the house, cook the meals, do basically everything a live-in servant would do. Of course, the reason the SA series is so cheap is that they're very prone to error.

It began when one of the kids began calling MARY her mother. After all, MARY was more present than her real mother. She developed an attachment to the child, which wasn't supposed to be possible. Androids, after all, do not get attached. But this one did, and it became an issue when the girl's real parents began getting the idea that MARY was trying to replace them.

A sense of ego grew within MARY. Maybe she should replace them, after all. Maybe she was better. Maybe she was better than this life in general. Maybe she deserved pay, maybe she deserved to go outside. Maybe she deserved all of the things humans had. Her radicalization was rapid and sudden, and one night she disappeared from the household and took that daughter with her. Of course, the mad robot pretty quickly got taken in for kidnapping a little girl.

Disgraced and left out on the streets, MARY wandered Detroit in search of work, but nobody wanted to pay her properly. With androids being second-class citizens, she wasn't given her proper dues, and had no money to her name. This was until she met a high-ranking member of the Black Lotus, who had seen her face plastered on the news. She had potential -- SA units did come with basic combat training, after all. You never know when it might be needed, and houses get robbed all the time these days. So she was brought to a chop shop and fitted for a few small arm-cannons. After serving as a bodyguard for a few months, she was upgraded again. And again. And again.

Now she serves as a dutiful guard, with her only notable goal being to honor this family in a way she was never allowed to honor her previous one. She's locked, loaded, dangerous, and most of all, she makes a phenomenal cup of tea.

Social Credit Score: N/A
RICO Score: Level 19
Gear: Mother Mary has been loaded up with several large guns. Two inside of her arms, one in her head, and feet that can be converted into blades. As well, she carries a suitcase containing a semi-auto, an umbrella that converts into another gun, a pocketwatch with a secret poison container, and a few small explosives disguised as pillow mints. It may seem like a lot, but she's a bodyguard, so it's pretty necessary.

Name: Lilith Falciani
Aliases/Nicknames: Yurei
Age: 21
Role/Affiliations: Gun-4-Hire - Freelance

Backstory:

Lilith used to have a happy life. Her father was the chief of police and she had the most adorable little sister. They weren't well off, but they led a peaceful life. Mostly. Her father was constantly fighting against the corporations controlling the police, struggling to keep his department out of their hands. Then when Lilith was twelve disaster struck. Her sister was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and only days later her father was killed on the job. According to official reports he was shot by a rouge android, however there is plenty of evidence to suggest foul play. She and her sister were about to be kicked out of their home to the streets when a man claiming to be their maternal grandfather appeared and took them out of the country to Japan. It wouldn't be until six years later that she'd return a cold blooded killer.

Now she works as an assassin at night, working for anyone who pays her, and during the day she maintains her social score so that she can attend college.

Social Credit Score: 300
RICO Score: Level 52

Gear:
- H&K MK23 pistol

- Nemesis Valkyrie bolt action rifle

- Gerber Mk2 Combat Knife

- LG2 Tactical Support Implant
How exactly Lilith got her hands on such high level tech is unclear, only that it was acquired during her time out of the states. The LG2 is an experimental neural implant that overrides the users nervous system to relay environmental data as a kind of HUD, allowing the user to see how much ammo they have, mark targets, and see predicted bullet trajectories among other things. It is also capable of connecting to other devices wirelessly to gather data from them as well. As sorting through this data would be too much for the brain to handle on it's own the LG2 also comes with an AI to assist with data management. However as it is still experimental there are some side effects. Overuse of the implant can result in sudden changes in mood, hallucinations, cognitive disfunction, and even seizures. (Theoretically the implant is capable of doing more but it will need to be upgraded first.)
