History


Like many, Sylvia lost many loved ones to the monsters that plague their realm – for her she was only eighteen. Unlike most, she used her hatred and grief to fuel her campaign against the monsters, Godiva, and Lucifer – training for two years after her loss. She was among the countless of men and women who went against the Immortals' Challenge, and was one of the few who survived the ordeal. At the time she was only armed with weapons and had yet to gain her ability in magic. She spend the next three years scouring Zenitharia for powerful artifacts.


She delved into a nameless ruin in the Rotmoor Marsh and it was there that she found a magical stone that attached itself to the palm of her right hand. The mysterious gem allowed her to manipulate the earth around her as well as create a protective layer of stone around her skin. It took her several years to master the gift given to her by the mysterious artifact but because of it she has become attune to magic.


She became the Headmistress of Scholomance after her predecessor disappeared without explanation and never returned to the academy. Most believe him dead, but Sylvia believes that he is still alive somewhere. She was a teacher in the academy for four years and has served as Scholomance's Headmistress for five years to date.


Personality


Though most see her as cold-hearted, antisocial, and distant, the Headmistress does this as to save herself pain of loss as she has experienced countless times during her life. She detests cowards and weaklings in the academy, she believes that if you don't have the stomach to be a hunter then you're better off dead – of course she would never say this to a student directly...but there have been times when she has insulted a student or two.


Abilities


Earth Manipulation – The ability to manipulate the earth around the user, this ability can only be used if the gem in the palm of her hand is 'activated'.


Stone Skin – Creates a protective layer of stone around her skin, drawback is that she moves much slower than normal while this ability is activated. This can protect her from a hard attack or several light ones. A weakness to this ability would be fire as the stone can heat and severely burn her.
