Personality- The personality Suren shows to the world can either be extremely refreshing or extremely annoying. He doesn’t seem like he takes anything seriously, and brushes off most insults. He gives off the impression of being laid back, and quite honestly ignorant. He tries to stay hidden around the more headstrong members of the clan in order to avoid any confrontations. However, Suren is plagued by guilt from the death of his brother, and because of that death, he values life above all else. He feels it would be disrespectful not to be serious when he takes the life of an animal, and he demands that same respect for life from those around him on those hunting excursions. He refuses to kill another person, and so, he is valued as a hunter in the clan, but not much else.

Bio- Suren was born into an eccentric family. Both his parents were quite outspoken with their hate for Kembreeians, and that hate transferred to Suren. He originally started his training with the bow in order to kill as many Kembreeians as possible as retribution for their murdered clan members.

Suren was 7 when his younger brother, Qochi, was born. The two brothers weren’t very close, because Qochi never adopted the same hate for Kembreeians that the rest of the family had. Suren was honestly confused by this, so when Qochi turned 10, Suren started teaching him to shoot, hoping that the thrill that came from a hunt would help his brother realize the advantages of killing. It was a few months after that teaching started that Suren’s life changed.

Suren and Qochi had been out in the forest one day, tracking the prints of a deer in the snow. It would have been a kill with little to no use, as the clan had already finished their hunt, but Suren was determined Qochi would learn the thrill of hunting, the thrill of taking a life, so he urged Qochi to shoot it anyway. Qochi had protested, but after a few minutes of back and forth, Suren had snapped. He’d yelled at Qochi to take the shot, and finally his brother gave in and took aim.

As soon as the arrow had been released from Qochi’s bow, something startled the deer, and it ran. Suren was seething now, and he was frantically looking for the source of the noise, and he found it when he saw a young man wandering through the trees. Suren automatically assumed the man was Kembreeian, though when he looks back on this incident, there really wasn’t a way to tell, and he yelled, catching the man’s attention.

Suren quickly started a shouting match, the two arguing back and forth in the forest. When the man had finally decided he’d had enough and started to walk away, Suren had drawn his bow. Apparently, the man had heard the arrow notching as he'd immediately turned around and drawn a bow of his own. Qochi had watched the whole interaction in horror, and he was finally tugging frantically on Suren’s shirt, trying to dissuade his brother from the fight, but Suren had been too far gone to listen.

He released his arrow, and in an instant, the man had fired two. Suren’s arrow struck the man in the stomach, breaking the skin as the head lodged in the flesh. One of the other man’s arrows had hit Surren in his right thigh, but the second one had pierced Qochi right through the throat. Suren had notched and shot another arrow by the time he realized what had happened, and even then, he only understood something was wrong by the look on the man’s face. Suren’s second arrow had hit the man in the right shoulder, but by that point, he wasn’t paying any more attention to the stranger.

His focus was locked on to Qochi, and the younger boy stood there, clutching his throat and blood slowly trickled out around the arrow. Suren had picked up Qochi and ran. He ran straight to his home, but by the time he was inside, Qochi was dead.

After that, Suren spent a few weeks fuming. He was angry at the world for his brother’s death while he loathed himself. During those weeks he’d searched the woods for the other man’s body but didn’t find anything.

Once his grieving had stopped, Suren changed. Guilt ruled over him, as it was clear that his actions had killed his brother. His hate for the Kembeeians, his obsession with hunting, his anger, every piece of Suren had played an action in his brother’s death, and as such, Suren worked to rid himself of those traits. His anger slowly dissipated over the years as he realized that nothing would come from it but pain, and his complete disregard for life the second he held his brother’s body in his arms.

His image in the clan had changed by the time he was 20, and he turned into an honorable hunter instead of an ignorantly bigoted child. Most people in the clan know of Suren’s past, though few mention it because they see that he’s already being constantly tormented by it. Though occasionally someone will try to take advantage of the guilt he feels, he won't do anything that conflicts with his changed morals.
