Superhumans (ones with powers)

Hero or villain or neutral: Hero

name: Maggie Beal

Code name: Glitch

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Appearance:
Maggie B.jpg

Powers/abilities: Technopathy

Weapons(optional): Various gadgets in her jacket

Weaknesses: When there isn't any technology around. EMPs would also be a problem

Backstory(optional): Maggie is from a farm in the heart of Missouri and lived a modest life with few interactions with technology. She found out that she had powers when she was 13 and her parents were afraid and thought she was possessed by a demon. She eventually ran away from home and ran with various gangs on the streets of St. Louis until she heard about a place for people like her. She traveled North and never looked back, hoping to find acceptance and a purpose.

Other info(optional): She has a southern accent, the way her powers work is that she has to concentrate really hard and her eyes go white and her body goes limp when she possesses any form of technology. She doesn't like the feeling so she only does it when she has to. She carries a tablet that she uses to hack stuff as well, because one of the gangs she was with taught her how to hack so that she could fully utilize her abilities.

Superhuman

Hero or villain or neutral:
Neutral

Name: Forgotten

Code name: Pain Emperor

Age: Several Centuries

Gender: Male

Appearance: Pain Emperor is a moderately tall centaur at about 2,3 meters (around 7'6'' feet I think). Its horse half has pitch black hooves and equally dark fur that is surprisingly well groomed and cared for. Its mane and tail are coloured beige.

His human half is quite bulky, if a bit fat. The skin is colored with a dark blue tone and is covered in many many purple scars that don't match his dark green nails at all. His most defining characteristic tho is the fact that his head is, most of the time, not over his shoulders: His head, usually being carried by him, is a simple looking skull with fire in its eyes. Comically expressive firy eyes that turn off when he "blinks". Still, Pain Emperor can choose to put this head back where it should be if so he desires, since there's a very cleanly cut part of his neck where he can stick it.

Powers/abilities:

-Dullahan: This power allows Pain Emperor to detach his head from the rest of his body. If the head is in a 100 meter radius, it can slowly float back to his owner unless it's stuck or somebody with more force than a 7 year old kid prevents it from doing so.

-Centaur: Pain Emperor's lower half was subsituted with one of a horse. The horse half has its own heart and organs, although these last aren't really useful in any way. Two to three people could probably ride on him, but he isn't too fast even for a horse, but still faster than a regular human.

-Pain Tolerance: As his name would indicate, Pain Emperor has a good resistance to pain. If anything, feeling pain makes his mood improve a bit that day. Stubbing his hoof on the badly built Ikea Cabinet is the best way of starting a Monday for him.

-Undead Regeneration: As an undead creature bound to his body with ethereal properties, damage done to him rarely results in a mortal injury. Mortal-er, at least. His regeneration is slow and depends on the amount of pain he felt, but he can speed it up by eating, since his organs really don't have any other use and doesn't need to eat for nourishment, making the energy go into his regenerative abilities. Note that eating before going into battle doesn't cause him to have extra regenerative abilities. Consuming food to regenerate faster only works if there's something to regenerate.

-Heavenly Retribution: His actual ability which he was born with. Pain Emperor concentrates on a target by looking at it. After exactly 5 seconds, the objective's nervous system is directly attacked with an equal amount of pain that Pain Emperor has recieved. The user has to mantain visual contact with the objective for the full 5 seconds. If visual contact is lost at any moment by any means, the counter needs to be restarted. When this attack happens, a very big, bright and noticeable circle separated into 5 equal parts appears right above the objective alongside an even bigger clock hand, that moves to each segment by the second, marking very clearly the time left until the attack is completed and who is being targeted. This attack can only be used twice every half an hour and it's indicated by the colour of Pain Emperor's eyes. If Pain Emperor's eyes are red, he has two charges of Heavenly Retribution. If one of them is blue, then only one charge remains and if both are blue, then Pain Emperor cannot use this ability until after 30 minutes. Each eye has its own "cooldown" and works independently. This ability can also be triggered with a telescope and such tools that allow Pain Emperor to make visual contact with anything from afar.

Weapons: A little knife that Pain Emperor carries around to cut himself whenever he feels like it. He can also use it to inflict damage on himself at any desired rate to use his ability.

Weaknesses: Although a very strong wall, Pain Emperor heavily relies on his Heavenly Retribution to deal any significant amount of damage. The flashiness of this ability doesn't allow for any kind of surprise attack and the target is marked very clearly. Any speedster would be completely immune to his ability as long as he stays out of his range of vision every 5 seconds. This also works with anything behind a cover. Strangely enough, Heavenly retribution can also be blocked with a third layer of clothing, so people can just cover themselves with a jacket or a raincoat while wearing two shirts underneath and that'd work as "not seeing the person". Glass or any transparent bodies don't have this property. As stated before, even tho Pain Emperor is a centaur, his horse half isn't very athletic so its sprint speed is lower than the average horse.

Backstory: Those who had the chance to talk with Pain Emperor found him surprisingly chill. He isn't very secretive about his past, although it's not something he likes elaborating on. Apparently, Pain Emperor was just somebody who had the power to make others feel his physical pain and had a rough childhood. Whether he doesn't remember more or he just doesn't want to, that's only information that Pain Emperor knows. What he does remember is to be killed in a gruesome way and then being revived several centuries later. These necromancers liked to experiment with his body on a daily basis and even attached his body to that of a horse at some point. Although Pain Emperor found it creepely comedic, he got tired and killed his retainers due to the fact that they wouldn't let him just leave. After the experiments he now had a detachable head, regeneration and the lower half of a horse. "Neatto", he said, and then he started roaming the world. Since he didn't feel like dying, he's now looking for people to have nice conversations with and just to enjoy the little things in post-death life.

Other info: Luckily for everybody in a 500Km radius, Pain Emperor's rotting body doesn't smell. If anything, he smells more of dirt. Pain Emperor is also technologically illiterate due to the fact that he comes from who knows how many centuries ago. As it can be discerned from his backstory, Pain Emperor is actually very laid back and non-confrontational. He usually rolls with whatever is going on, and unless you do stuff like, idk, experiment on his body and soul for months and prevent him from leaving, he probably won't try to fight you. Probably.

Looks pretty good to me. I got a few techy characters that will work fine with her.

(This is a very interesting character but I am unsure of well it would fit in our rp.

(Well I dont know if the ghost centaur part will work well here I mean we've had undead, mostly when they are like the villains/controlled by a necromancer)
(well, I can change the last part of the backstory and just say I got revived by one and now work with them on the villains side?)

(Honestly, my character could work for either faction, is it possible to change factions in-roleplay? As in, somebody convinces my character to be a hero or a villain? I can make him be lost in life since he doesn't know what to do with this new opportunity and let whoever makes the best argument take him to their side)
