Sir Sky, A Knight of RpNations Kingdom
Our characters would have most likely been experiencing experiments since they were young or from their birth. Now the year will be 4025 little is known about our pasts before the 3000 and barely 10% more is known about the 3500s after a devastating volcanic eruption that scowwered the area released not only the expected Carbon Dioxide but a new poisoness gas as well which will kill upon intake especially with its large quantity. It hit the area greatly, killing millions as the lava destroyed much land and history. Now towns and cities live in large domes, suppressing the outside gases and supplying oxygen. How one would travel to a nearby area would be through the tubes which connect them.

Now the government since then have created hypothisis' and have formed theories of what they could find if they left the domes.

The amount of information that could even help them perhaps fight back against the gas and maybe manipulate its state so it may stop consuming whatever clean oxygen they'd push out there. But they currently simply have gas masks, special refined ones that supply their own oxygen though the tanks compact size. The government trusted men and women of the military to step outside the dome but when a group came back injured severely and informing them of the terrifying creatures they've never seen the scientists get to work on creating a set of super humans with fictional abilities.

And we were one of the first models to be successful and live.

There are hundreds being formed but none have reached our level of improvement as we may know and they paired us up with one another as they would with anyone else and we began our trials.

But one of our characters begins to see certain things, or hear certain statements that make their obedience falter in the government. They're killing innocent people saying that they've lost their way, and supplying themselves with more oxygen.

One night the same character decides to leave and attempt to form a plan to take down the government seeing as its future plans only involved more inequality and death. As our other character will find them, they may believe that they can't leave the other alone or perhaps a few guards pair them up as people pulling a treasonous act even though the other boy was simply trying to catch the other to get an explanation.

But perhaps after awhile the character who once believed in the government will convert and they try to form a plan to take out the government. But people begin to go after them and attack them in attempts to kill them, and perhaps the only way to escape is go outside the walls.

Thursday, Dome 3A, 6:28 in the evening

Soft quiet tones intercepted the nearly albino mans hearing, the casual conversations which seeped through the welcoming doors of small parlors and the women strolling the streets drawing his apathetic attention from one to another. As the delicate pittar patter of childrens feet running danced a crossed the cobblestone, playful cries from the four perhaps seven year olds cutting through the air until who seemed to be their guardian scolded them and glanced up in his direction apologetically. As if the children making a sound above the normal volume of speaking was a crime, something to stray some. Sage merely sighed at the action closing his eyes a moment before reopening them to spare a second to look at his partner beside him. Though the scientists had informed him of the fact that he was developing memory loss, he knew he wouldn't forget the title of the 20 year old beside him, he gave it to him anyways.

Daniel, it was a really simple name for a really complex guy and if Sage would've known how the man beside him would be today he wouldn't thought of something else. Something to casually tell anyone who met him that at points he could be a loose canon, maybe Stereotypical Teenager, Danny rather then Daniel. Sage noticed that his gaze had yet to leave his partner and quickly looked forward upon realization, his mechanical fingers tapping the metal plate which protected the outside of his thigh in case they were ever met with a sudden rebellion, or a simple civilian fight that they'd need to break up.

Index, middle, ring, pinky, index, middle, ring, pinky. Sage chanted mentally in time with each finger that sent a click of metal against metal into their surroundings. They were assigned town patrols each week Thursday and Friday afternoons and Wednesday mornings, the rest of their times would be decided without their condolences, training and check ups being scheduled somewhere in the mix.

"I see you have a new bruise on your face, did you get in a fight with another experiment?" Sage didn't look over at Daniel as he spoke containing his stride and speaking in a passionless tone, his eyes looked tired due to an episode he experienced earlier that week. Unlike many others he wasn't intimidated by Daniel, not for the fact that he thought he could beat him in a fight but for the reason that he didn't really see anything to fear except the scary face he'd put on when he was angry. The way the other mans eyes would burn with such emotion, taking on savage behavior at points. It was one of the few things that may make Sage hesitate and question his thinking.

Deaf to the squabbles and games of the surrounding children, Daniel stood beside his patrol partner appearing to watch the public attentively as he was supposed to, but his mind was elsewhere. Watching the normal people flit about, concerned with their own mundane practices and work, was hardly captivating, and they'd all patrolled so many times that there was nothing they hadn't seen. Hell, Daniel had once happened upon a drunkard repeatedly bashing another man's head against a wall until he was stone dead, Daniel too late to help him. It wasn't just the experiments that were sick; everyone here was. Daniel blamed it on the dome; he knew little of psychology other than that which applied to him, but he was pretty sure that being trapped in a confined space with nothing but death outside would fuck people up. The claustrophobia was even more terrifying than the people stuck inside.

Not normally this morbid, blaming his depressing train of thought on the fight that had earned him his bruises, Daniel was grateful when Spider spoke. The man's tapping of his mechanical fingers had previously provided the perfect lull to the dissociated trance in which Daniel had been drifting, but his voice, apathetic as it was, dragged him back out. Glancing over at his fellow freakshow, Daniel gave him a small smirk, finding the question amusing both in itself and coming from Sage. The man seemed so disinterested in everything, Daniel was surprised he had even asked, and yet he sensed Sage was more than just apathy. There was something sinister about him, from his lethal arm to his even deadlier powers, and his calm felt like it was the most dangerous of them all. Daniel didn't trust him one bit, though he did in a way respect him. Spider always seemed to deal with everything better than Daniel ever had, memory loss aside - which, in all honesty, seemed more like a blessing than a curse.

"Nah, just one of our asshole guards. Apparently I was violating parol or whatever," Daniel said with wry amusement, raising an eyebrow. He knew others perceived him as a loose canon and, by extension, a jerk, but he saw no reason to start a fight with any of his fellow freaks. They were in the same boat as he was, most of the time anyway. The officials who guarded them, however, deserved more aggression than even he could give them. "I personally blame them for having mysterious rooms from which we are restricted. Nothing draws curiosity more than a big red 'Do Not Enter' sign."

Exhaling, Daniel dropped the crooked smile and looked up above the shrieking children and their scolding parents, up at the rising walls of the dome, curving far up above their heads. That, of course, was the biggest 'Do Not Enter' sign in this whole damn place. Don't go outside. Everyone had heard the horror stories, the whole not being able to breathe part the very least of their worries. If monsters lurked outside, however, Daniel wondered what would happen if they ever got in. After all, if people could get out... "You ever want to go outside, Spider?" Daniel asked suddenly, looking over at his companion, genuinely curious to know the response. The opinion of an enigma such as Sage interested him, especially about something that polarised opinions so strongly and gave them such passionate emotions; something that Sage, if he had any, kept well-hidden.

Sage ceased the tapping of his fingertips finding it as maddening as when the scientists had observed his reaction development and mental state and how it would change if they stuck him in a plain white room for three weeks. Despite the fuzziness which came with each nostalgic memory the white room would constantly be clear, it had been empty and silent save for himself and a locked box. The metal box held no sign of a weak point were he'd be able to breach and enter to see the contents of the container, and since they had removed his animated arm breaking it was seemingly the single action. Anyone from a glance would know it had something to do with the experiment and Sage had hoped to not please them by getting overtly irritated and perhaps throwing it into the wall in an attempt to break it open. But after what felt like a millennium, the man with much aggression had slammed his fist into the box but even as the dent fell farther and farther downwards he was unable to see what could have been inside. By the end of the three weeks his soul purpose in that room was to simply open up the box and find out its secrets.

Though that's what they remained to be.

Sage took a quick hitched breath blinking his odd eyes as he tried to rid his vision of the black dots which danced a crossed them. A blackout he had begun to call what he just experienced, an intense flashback that caused him to relive a sudden memory within minutes. They were unpredictable things and he had managed to keep it from those who worked in the science department, they'd just want to prod at him more if he announced it. Which would probably tear him form his patrols for a week, something he wouldn't wish to occur. Sage silently enjoyed the aura of the towns on calm serene days like that day, sometimes he'd pretend like he could feel his left hand and that he was just as mundane as those around him. As if he was simply strolling down the road with his buddy, with Daniel.

"Well you were asking for it practically, stop going around and getting hurt." Sage ran his single fleshy hand through his white hair, when he feared he may have expressed his concern for Daniels health he quickly added.

"We don't know when we're going to be attacked or if we ever are, it'd help if we were in our top condition." The man bit his lower lip and let out a gradual sigh, his eyes dancing a crossed the strong dome above them. Although he looked down and met brown eyes when Daniel fed into the conversation with his own topic. Slightly surprised that the son of the top dog was interested in the outdoors, and referred to him with the title he earned when they discovered his powers he responded.

"I personally," Spider began but paused and looked down at his walking feet before narrowly missing a teen gliding by on a hover board "Would love to." He whispered out in a soft tone though his mind seemed to still not allow him to speak with any emotion, even a hint. "I once overheard the scientists speaking of large bodies of water, bigger then any lake or stream. And they said that in other areas white frozen water falls from the sky, and before I die I'd want to at least see it. Even for a moment." Realizing that he had just spoken of his own thoughts openly with Dan he looked away, "what about you?"

Ignorant of Sage's flashback, not really paying close attention to his companion at that moment, Daniel listened to his scolding with a dry, somewhat bitter smirk. "Aww, you really do care," Daniel said flatly, his voice ladened with sarcasm. He was wondering why he'd even bothered answering the question, since everyone just always seemed to assume the worst with him, but then Spider had to be enough of an arsehole to actually make a valid point. They were, after all, supposed to be the noble defenders of this fair city.

Now there was a thought to keep you up at night.

Admittedly, Daniel hadn't been expecting much of an answer out of Sage in response to his own question; he'd imagined he'd receive a shrug, maybe a non-committal noise or a dismissal and nothing more. His eyes widened minutely in surprise at Sage responding so seriously, and moreover so... well, poetically. Daniel had heard of that white falling stuff too - snow, was it? - for it had been mentioned in what remained of past civilisation's poetry and prose, considered ethereal and symbolic and all sorts. It was the last thing he'd imagined Sage to be interested in.

His curiosity renewed, this time for the individual beside him rather than for what lay in the great beyond, Daniel said nothing, merely watching Spider. The way he'd spoken had made it sound like he'd been trained to say that, no emotion or bizarre poetry in his tone whatsoever, and yet Daniel couldn't see why he'd train himself to say those sorts of things. If anything, speaking seemed to have made him uncomfortable.

Breaking out into a wide, shit-eating grin, Daniel gave Sage a light nudge in the ribs and snorted. "Dear lord, don't tell me; you're secretly a massive softy, aren't you? You know we're supposed to want to go outside to fight the monsters, right? Not connect with mother nature and watch the snow. Geez, you're even stranger than I thought," Daniel said, half laughing to himself as he stuck his hands in his pockets, glancing up as their walk brought them close to the walls of the dome. "Not that I'm saying that I'm saying that's a bad thing. You feeling desperate enough to discover your poetic soul to make a break for it? We're pretty near the escape exit right about now, actually. What if we just said fuck it and went out to face the monsters?" Daniel said, coming to a stop and looking up at the huge, thick walls that curved right above him. Removing a hand from his pocket, he reached out and brushed his fingertips against the surface. "Can't be any worse than in here, right?"

Sage groaned quietly under his breath at Daniels statement of him caring, growing slightly embarrassed and irritated at himself for even choosing to talk for once. It though was natural for him to care like anyone else, humans were plagued with emotions since the beginning and although Sage didn't entirely understand them and their presence, they still demanded to be felt. The albino pinched the bridge of his nose before skimming the top of his right eyebrow where an itchy sensation had broken out, the scratch of his nails taming the feeling as he wouldn't respond, knowing it'd simply worsen the case if he were to deny it.

By habit he flinched away when Daniel nudged him, a bit annoyed about the boys statements about how he was a softy. Like a child he mentally scolded the man beside him, I'm not a softy, I'm super tough.

When Daniel halted by the wall Sage stepped forward a few more strides to create a gap between them before stopping himself and turning to face his comrade as he continued to speak. The albino man listened quietly not interrupting him for he knew it'd do him no good and it'd only take up more useless time.

"Legion 12 lost dozens of their people to the monsters out there," Sage informed the man before him although he was sure he already knew. "And the only thing I want to discover more then my poetic soul is if you have an actual thought process in your head." He rose an amused brow perhaps the first actual change in his expression in years before looking back to Daniel.

"Lets do it."

Part of Daniel felt guilty when Sage flinched away, though it was a pretty futile brand of guilt. He hadn’t consciously intended to make his companion even more uncomfortable, it just sort of happened. Innate manipulative behaviours were his forte, apparently, according to his darling psychiatrist. Fortunately he got the impression that Sage was mentally punishing him for it anyway, a certain unnerving energy emanating from him.

Regardless, Spider let him ramble on, so he couldn’t be too pissed off at him. “Always the cheerful one,” Daniel said quietly, his habitual smirk returning as Sage pointed out what everyone knew already, but it was a fair point regardless. If Legion 12 didn’t stand a chance, then how could a bunch of fucked up young adults survive? “Nah, I just open my mouth and words come out. Experiments probably melted my brain.”

Expecting to be called an idiot and scolded again, Daniel glanced over at Spider with a rueful expression, onto to find Spider with his eyebrow quirked. Guess that rules out the ‘facial muscles got frozen during an experiment’ theory, Daniel’s internal commentary muttered as he stopped in surprise at Sage actually showing emotion. Maybe his poetic soul was possible after all.

Nearly commenting on Sage daring to display emotion, Daniel bit back on the insulting sarcasm this time. “You’re serious?” He asked instead. Whilst he couldn’t really imagine that Sage was the type to joke, nor could he picture him busting out and saying ‘fuck you’ to the government. “Because if you are, I’m all for this. Escape exit isssss,” he paused, looking left and right down the wall of the dome. Come on, he’d memorised the layout of the escapes for this exact reason, his brain couldn’t fail him now. “This… way,” he said slowly with airy uncertainty, turning left.

Sage swept his white bangs from his contorted vision in a curt motion of his head to the left, though a small clump of his hair still remained in his face in the end as he gazed through the domes sleek surface. Much like Daniel he's experienced the demanding emotion curiosity before, perhaps more then the feelings happiness and regret.

But normally he's been successful in taming his curiosity, he's been capable of pressing the clawing animal back into the dark depths of his mind where his conscious rarely ventured. But perhaps the rebellious and adventurous brunette beside him though just like the governments classified halls had searched Sages mind without consent, finding what he would need to draw Sages attention and make him wish to partake in something he'd normally reject without struggle.

"That's a sensible hypothesis," Spider murmured in reference to the boy speaking of his brain perhaps being melted. Then slid his hands into the pockets of the pants he had picked that morning, his metallic fingers slicing the edges of his left pocket almost to the point of revealing his leg, but his expression remained dead panned, unfazed by the usual event that was so common.

"I'm not going out farther then a mile or two, we'll need to return to the government before the end of our patrol shift." Sage had no intentions of getting hurt, or risking that matter any farther then he already was. At the first sight of danger he'd flee with reason from the scene, perhaps dragging Daniel along as well seeing as the mans father wouldn't be pleased to see Sage alive and his son missing outside the dome walls.

"Your mask has been checked up and updated correct, no leaks or lack of oxygen?" The albino had swept any emotion from his face and voice as he normally would, not pleased with himself for revealing what he had earlier. As he began walking beside Daniel, hoping nothing to negative would come from their small quest.

"Relax, I was hardly planning on just venturing off as far as we could go until we dropped dead," Daniel lied casually, mentally muttering to himself about how it wasn't going to be any fun if the whole point was to go back to the darling government afterwards. Still, baby steps and all that. He'd never been outside of the dome before, and a scouting trip couldn't do any harm, especially one with the more than lethal Spider. He himself couldn't quite tell if going outside was for him a death wish or just the result of the same claustrophobia he was sure everyone suffered, but it seemed that Sage would definitely prefer to stay alive; how boringly sensible of him.

His eyes dropping to the rip in Spider's trousers, lingering there as Daniel mulled over what exactly it was that he wished to accomplish with this last-minute escape trip, he realised that he didn't actually know if he could trust Spider. He'd barely spoken to the man before, certainly no more than any other test subject, and what he knew of that particular social group was that they all tended to be a tadge unstable. Apparently, constant torture and psychological fuckery could do that to people. Daniel could imagine the examiners' surprise.

"Definitely," Daniel said in response to the mask question, nodding wisely and doing a decent enough job of covering the lie with false confidence. Hell, the last time his mask had been checked had to be, what, a year ago? It wasn't like Daniel liked the thought of being suffocated by a mere technical malfunction, it was simply that'd he'd never found time to go and get it checked over and updated, but he wasn't going to let a trivial detail like that get in the way of seeing whatever lay in the great beyond. "I'm guessing by the fact that you care enough to ask that yours is all in working order, so," Daniel said as they drew to a halt before the escape exit, "freedom awaits. Only two miles of it though, of course," he quickly added. He didn't feel like being quite enough of an arsehole to force Sage to go further.

The exit door was a good ten metres up the dome wall, clearly in sight of any patrolling officials in the nearby vicinity, but fortunately for them, in this case, they were those very officials. Leading up to the first of the doors that led to the exit was a row of thin, metallic handles that served the purpose of a ladder, curling up the curve of the wall. "Safety first," Daniel said in a theatrical, gentlemanly manner with a sweep of his arm, gesturing for Sage to be the first to start climbing. Again, Daniel still had little reason to try his fellow patrol partner, and the word paranoid in 'paranoid schizophrenia' wasn't just for decoration after all.
