Stormpits Max Security Prison is a prison for supernaturals located somewhere classified for the safety of humans.
Years ago, a portal was opened to another world which contained supernaturals. They escaped through the portal and some wrecked havoc. This caused to the creation of Stormpits Max Security Prison, the first prison for supernaturals. There are others, but this is easily the largest. Due to the suspicion of supernaturals and the damage some caused, many were locked up for protection of humanity. At least 700 supernaturals are in the prison. There are some in humans imprisoned as well, due to assisting the supernaturals.
Stormpits is mostly underground, except for its entrance, and the four courtyards.
Life in Stormpits usually lasts a while until you get out. Escape is almost impossible, as there are day and night guards, magical and technological forcefields that protect the prison, and even supernaturals who volunteered to guard the place. The other way out is to fight someone else to the death in the gladiatorial pits under the main areas of the prison. For every person you kill, you get one year removed off your sentence. Sometimes the battles don't always result in a victor. These are called draws, or stalemates, and usually happen when time runs out or the fighters don't fight each other.
Not everyone will combat in the gladiatorial pits, and there will be fights outside of the pits.
