Elizabeth Adelaine "Ada" King 
Age: 27

Ada is a young mathematician. She never knew her father but her mother always had a lot of wealth at hand and she assumed she was the illegitimate child of some wealthy aristocrat. Despite her lack of title and man in the household, she and her mother were fixtures of high society. Despite this, Ada befriended a pair of middle-class boys and the three were as thick as thieves throughout their childhood, leading to tittering rumours and among those she and her mother usually socialised with. Her mother encouraged her study of mathematics and numbers and she was one of the first women to attend the university. During the war, she worked with Alan Turing to help decrypt Prussian messages and built a computer to calculate the decryption key needed. The duo is currently working with Charles Babbage on his analytical machine. She and Alan often question the idea of consciousness and intelligence in terms of their machine and what it could evolve to do in the future. 


Ada is a confident and adventurous young woman who is never afraid to take risks. She has a highly analytical mind and has been called the "Enchantress of Numbers" by her coworkers. Since the war is over and funding is waning, she requested a leave of absence from her work in order to search for her sweetheart, one of the boys she befriended when she was young, who she hears is working for the King under duress.


Matthew "Matt" Kirkman 
Age: 29
Matthew and his twin brother grew up with an alcoholic mother and a father who was always at work in the factories. As a child he and his brother joined their father in this work to provide extra income to the family. At that point, his father suffered a debilitating injury and his mother finally sobered up to take care of their father. This event changed Matthew who started working with unions for worker's rights, writing pamphlets for the movement. He joined the army as a pilot and gained minor recognition as a flying ace during in the war. Still, he is closely monitored because of his Unionist ties. 


Matthew was always quiet and scholarly who operates with much precision and carefully considered his options beforehand. Despite this, he's a kind individual with a talent for the written word. He's joining Ada on a quest to find his brother. 


Alphonse "Al" Kirkman 
Age: 29
Alphonse is Matthew's twin brother. As a young child, he loved to tinker with his radio. When he saw the brutal conditions of the working, he resolved to work hard and rise above the place he was born into in life. He joined the army as a regular soldier before the state realised his special talents as an engineer and chemist. After the war, he was offered an exorbitant amount of money to work in the government division for military research and development. However, once he realised the weapons he was building and the drugs he was manufacturing and tried to quit, the king blackmailed him with the threat of killing his family and sweetheart. 
Alphonse is a young passionate individual with great ambition and a non-stop work habit. He's an excellent orator and prone to acting recklessly. He has struck up a relationship with young Ada. 


King Francis Bourbon
The King of Loscana. Still, being the most powerful man on the world is not enough. After his wife died, leaving him without an heir, he became obsessed with transcending his own mortality and reaching ultimate enlightenment.

"Draken"


Age: Unknown. Estimated to be in his late 20s


Very little is known about Draken, his real name, his age, or even where he comes from. His exploits, however, are very well known. For many years, during the war, he was a vigilante, slipping in to rescue women unfortunate enough to be accosted, or even worse, raped, by the few men who could get out of the army. He was ever a figure of better living, standing up for the homeless, the lower class, and even helping the police with investigations towards finding long term offenders of hate crimes, excessive violence, and drug use, production, and distribution.
After the war's end, He vanished from the public eye, presumably killed or captured. However, when Uhmakas Uprising, the rebel force created to combat the King's growing ambition and insanity, he slipped back, as if he had never disappeared.



Silvia Estrad
Age 32

The daughter of a tinkerer and a potion and salve maker, she was raised with knowledge of both fields. When her father and brother left to fight in the war, she took her father's place, mainly fixing old clocks, while her mother continued making potions. The two made a name for themselves, being some of the first women to successfully run a shop without a man's supervision.
Then the word came that her father and brother had died in the war, leaving her as the only one who could continue their work. Her mother fell ill from distress and anguish, leaving her alone to run the shop. To attempt to drum up enough money to keep up her mother's medical needs, she borrowed some money from friends and expanded the shop to also be a tavern, which unknown to her, is a meeting spot for some members of the Rebellion.



"Prince" Alex Bourbon
Age: 25
After the death of Francis's wife, with no heir, one of the last rational decisions he made was to adopt a son to care on after his death. Alex was the one chosen for this, for no reason he would ever understand. Records of his past have been altered, and state that he has been in the castle since he was 7, however, it is well enough known that he only entered the castle the first time a year after the Queen's death.
Having been adopted so late in his life, he already has ideas that counter what he is seeing from his 'father'. He, in the public eye, is as cold and ruthless as the king, but behind closed doors, he is patiently waiting for his chance to change everything.
Shortly after the forming of Ukamas Uprising, he disappeared from the public eye. He hasn't been seen for quite some time.
