That doesn't matter though, fuck them and fuck her whore reputation. New school, new start. As for her other secret, she powers. Telekinesis. That's right, like fucking Carry White. Comparing herself to Carry White keeps her confident, which is a perfect example of Scarlett's freak perspective on life. She's known of her powers since she was younger and thought they were normal.

When Drake was a child, he’d often be bullied for his lack of friends and the fact that he lived in an orphanage. This lead to his acting on impulse, and that lead to his Impulse Control Disorder. He’s always liked fires and how they were always there to provide warmth, but he didn’t start making them until he was in eighth grade. During gym class in ninth grade, he started a fire outside on the grass as he waited for the rest of the class to catch up with him (he's quite fast at running), but it was only small. In eleventh grade, he discovered his powers. This was when he was helping film a video for his extracurricular activity (film club) at school. He somehow managed to light his legs on fire.

Soon after that, he set fire to the school library after a pair of jocks ran into him and began to taunt him. This was the incident that sent him to St. Reginald’s after the end of the school year.


When he first discovered his powers he was about to tell the world and declare how much power he had. He didn’t though. After all, who would’ve wanted to be inspected by the FBI or whoever? At least Drake had seen enough movies to know that announcing his powers like that would be dangerous.


Now that he has his powers, he doesn’t burn when he’s touching or in fire. He can actually (if he gets that angry) set his hair on fire, but that doesn’t happen often, usually it's just the tips turning a little bit orange. Drake also enjoys the feeling of fire down his throat/near his face, and would like to be a fire-breather, even though he knows that he would live in a box on the side of the road if he pursued that career. So, he’s changed his mind and decided to just stay at St. Reginald’s until he can actually figure out what to do with his life.

Oh, and he controls/summons the fire with his hands. So, now when he washes his hands in cold water, it hurts.

April was much younger then most who had ended up getting schizophrenia, so she had been taken in by an asylum. That was, until at the age of six-teen she was transferred to the school.

Branden and he went through everything together and told each other everything, so when Elias noticed that Branden wasn't eating, Elias made him his favourite food. When Branden noticed that Elias was often asking for reassurance that they were still friends, that this message really had no spelling errors, that there really wasn't a potential weapon around, Branden started to anticipate these questions and answer them before Elias even asked them.


Then his family took Elias on a long weekend retreat. When Elias came back, Branden was gone. He jumped of a bridge, two towns over. Before leaving Elias made Branden promise not to jump on the train tracks that ran through town, not to kill himself this way or another, but he never considered that Branden might travel that far to take his own life. Where Elias was mostly stable and able to function before, it quickly took a turn for the worse. Unable to let the thought that he killed Branden go, he soon began to obsess over whether he'd kill his family next, that he might have killed the family dog without even realising it, that his mere presence caused people to die.

Stephan abused them all, but Calithera and Dillan often gave themselves up to protect Hannah, and they managed to give her a happy childhood. Then, one day, Stephan tried to drown Riley, and they ran away. But Dillan didn't make it. He sacrificed himself to stall Stephan.


Dillan haunted her.


They first ended up in an orphanage, and she collected stray children, until her little family was very large indeed. She took care of them all. However, the woman in charge of the orphanage, while essentially a good person, was rather absentminded without the resources to take care of everyone. One night, a young boy caught a fever and died, with Calithera by his side. She soon took her new family and moved out. At another orphanage, well, it was an amazing place, but they didn't stay. Calithera bought an apartment and used her considerable technological skills to support her family. She soon met the Altman's, a group of three kids who had been out on the street for four years. They banded together, and the family slowly began to grow again.


However, just when things were going well, Calithera, who had dropped out of school (It was much too easy anyways), had to run to the store to get more insulin for Layla. She came back and the building was on fire. The only survivor was a trans-girl named Dillan, who died in the hospital.

School was horrible, she was bullied for things that didn't even make sense, and got into more than one fight. When she was 15 she was kidnapped and again rapped by two random men in a van. They also ended up dead. Brooke believes she is already dead because of the fact she can communicate with spirits. Especially the ones of her rapists.

Personality: You could say that Kaya is different, but that is an extremely broad point of view. She is either often seen as a girl with insensitivity issues and apathy or a plain young girl who refuses to speak for unknown reasons. She is introverted and minds her own business. As a tween, she was very nosy and intrusive but now she lost that piece of her persona. She is extremely calm and doesn't smile a lot. If she ever does, it is either a forced smile or a small genuine one that quickly falters. To seem like a nice person, she tries to sympathize, but has trouble connecting with people. She usually beats herself up for this, calling herself a terrible person for lacking sympathy and calls herself names. She only has two main emotions: sadness and anger. Either one can trigger cathartic responses from her, whether it's crying, yelling, or something else. There is only a small sliver of happiness that appears in her small genuine smiles. She isn't a hopeless romantic and doesn't like or trust people very easily. Usually, she just hopes that someone doesn't judge her based on a first glance or her apathetic attitude. Kaya grew up believing that it was normal for everyone to have two mothers or fathers but felt sad when she saw opposite-sex couples instead of couples like her fathers. Most of the time, they lied, saying that Kaya's actual mother died and one of her fathers was the brother of the other and was helping to take care of Kaya. Her fathers were never able to come out and schoolchildren just assumed the truth simply to tease her. What was strange was that they interpreted the truth correctly. She kept denying it repeatedly and then physical bullying came, scarring Kaya. The worst thing that happened was when a terrible car crash occurred. A speeding van crashed into their car, flipping it upside down twice and the car landed upside down. There are still visible scars from broken glass. She was able to escape by inadvertently breaking metal pieces of the car apart, creating an opening. Her father, Kaoru, was in a deep coma for 17 days until pronounced dead. Since then, she has been very twitchy and was diagnosed with severe PTSD and afterwards later diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease.


Extra: Since she has Lou Gehrig's disease, it is hard for her to move normally. It can range from minor (hand twitching or involuntary finger twitching) to quite severe (involuntary moving of arms and legs and loss of control in limbs). Anxiety can make the twitching worse.
