Personality: An easygoing country boy, Hollander lacks a temper, or much desire to do much of anything when the situation isn't pressing. He never complains, accepting the traditional tiresome practices of the military and combat as it comes. Sometimes he can seem apathetic, though he cares deeply for his comrades, and sees the Kingdom of Age as his only real home.
 Nation: Kingdom of Age

Unit: D Company, 2nd Squad

Hometown: Hollander was born and grew up in the city of Hassel, far to the north and west of the Kingdom of Age. However, he has spent the last few years in the city of Rochelle, as a member of the pre-war Agen army.

Rank: Staff Sergeant

Specialization: Support Gunner/Team Leader (Former Mortarman)

Primary weapon: Captured Keuru (K) 792

History: Born in the city of Hassel to a pair of farmers, Hollander knew from an early age that he wasn't cut out for work in the fields, or the simple daily life that his parents led. Even as a child, he towered over his neighbors and friends, like his giant of a father. By the time he was sixteen, Hollander was well on his way to escaping farming, and boredom that came from the simple country life he hated. Hitching a ride into Hassel, he began a career as a bare-knuckle boxer, finally using his natural size and farm created strength for a profession he enjoyed.

Hollander traveled through Europe for years, drinking and fighting his way through life, blissfully happy. Eventually, he found himself back in Hassel, and settled down for a month or so, long enough to establish a residence before the 1934 Olympics. Sent to represent his nation, Hollander won the bronze in boxing, the proudest moment of his life. At twenty two years old, it didn't take him long to make enough mistakes to be kicked out of his hometown once more. Medal in hand, he rounded Europe once more, somehow ending up married after a bender in Salk.

Now twenty four, Hollander and his newlywed wife, Maria Del Mar, settled down in the Kingdom of Age, just north of Vitry. Hollander stayed with his wife for several months, at that time the longest sedentary stay in his adult life. Working as a clerk didn't suit him however, and he was soon back to travelling from fight to fight, across the continent. This took a toll on his marriage, but Hollander and Maria remained together for around two years, and had a pair of children.

Finally giving into his wife's threats of divorce, Hollander hung up his proverbial gloves and returned home. He soon enlisted in the Agen army, to keep him busy. As a mortarman, he rose through the ranks quickly, eventually becoming a platoon sergeant. Though he enjoyed the Army, Hollander's focus remained on sports, and he went to the 1938 Olympic games for Age, placing third once more in boxing, and playing on the nation's football team as the goalkeeper. The tension of the games, hosted in Vassa, alerted him to the nation's increased militarism.

Returning from the Olympics, it was only a few months before Vassan troops rolled across the border. Hollander's unit was one of the first thrown into battle, and was nearly destroyed defending Tourcoin. Commanding his platoon after death of the platoon leader, Hollander and his men expended their mortar rounds, and then joined the battle as rifemen, making the Vassans pay for every house they could. Overwhelmed by the invader's armor and air support, Hollander as his men fought a costly retreating battle, doing their best to offer some sort of resistance as their numbers and supplies decreased by the hour. By the time they disengaged and retreated to the rear, Hollander's sixty man platoon numbered only thirteen.

After a quick trip home to see his family, Hollander volunteered to be transferred to a new unit, offering his experience and ability to the defense of his adopted home. He arrived during the preparations for a counterattack on Reuben.Calling upon his experiences in city fighting, he is busy preparing his men for a house to house struggle.

Extra: Hollander has a four year old son, Edward, and a three year old daughter, Elizabeth.
