Trying really hard to stay focused
PLEASE READ FIRST
  • Both Canon characters (anyone from the Marvel universe) and OC's are allowed. I'm also allowing certain leeway to reimagine canon characters how you see fit. However, I'm only accepting heroes initially, no villains. After the first episode we can talk about how to include your chosen villain so if you have an idea for one, please PM me or discuss it with me in the OOC first.
  • Please read the list of Cast Members first before posting your character.
  • If your character has been accepted, I will reply to your post with a "Go For It!"
  • You can only have ONE character at a time but at the end of an episode you are allowed to change characters if you choose too.
  • I need at least two potential applicants to be fellow Empire State University students. It's also preferred that these characters are happy lodging with Peter Parker at Aunt May's house to bring things better in line with the series.

Powers:
The proportionate strength and speed of a spider. Enhanced reflexes and agility. Can cling to most surfaces. Possesses a "Spider-Sense", an instinct which causes his body to tingle [especially around the head] whenever danger is near.

Abilities:
Peter possesses a gifted intellect with a natural talent for science and is a talented photographer.

Tools/Weapons:
Finger activated web shooters [worn on wrists.]

Biography:
Peter was raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben Parker, both of whom adored him and treated him as if he was their own son. Although happy at home his school life did not always run as smoothly, and Peter, a hardworking and intelligent young man, was frequently bullied throughout high school, by the arrogant and self centred "Flash" Thompson.

During his mid-teens Peter attended the exhibition of a new particle accelerator where, unknown to any of the scientists, a common house spider crawled in to the path of the beam. The arachnid became irradiated and happened to bite Peter's hand thus changing his body chemistry giving him his amazing abilities. Seeing his newly acquired skill's as a wonderful opportunity to gain both money and recognition, Peter designed his infamous web-shooters, donned a costume and set out to become a show business superstar. "Spider-Man's" career did in fact begin to take off, but Peter all the while became more and more egotistical and self centred. Then tragedy struck. On his way to a television appearance he didn't bother to stop a robber, who, during a subsequent burglary not long afterwards, shot dead his Uncle Ben. Devastated and feeling extremely guilty, Peter gave up the lime light and devoted himself to fighting crime.

In order to help pay his way and financially aid his Aunt May, Peter works part time as a photographer for The Daily Bugle. Not surprisingly his specialty is taking shots of Spider-Man in action [a feat he accomplishes via the help of his trusty old automatic camera.] He then sells the photos to his irascible boss J. Jonah Jameson [Who incidentally detests Spidey.]

Hair Colour:
Black

Eye Colour:
Brown

Occupation:
ESU student

Legal Status:
American Citizen

Group Affiliation:
Spider-Friends

Place of Residence:

Powers:
Dante is capable of generating plasmoid flames from thin air, not requiring the consumption of oxygen or combustible objects to maintain the flames. He has been seen being able to increase the temperature within his proximity. fire concentrated plasma blasts from his hands and endure extreme heat and flame without being harmed.

Biography:
For the most part Dante's life was as normal as possible for a kid living in a world with superheroes and villains. He was an only child of two middle class parents, an average student and so on. His life changed however when a small group of aliens attacked New York. Seemingly more interested in causing mayhem and destruction than conquest these aliens used some kinda sticky liquid that caught fire when exposed to oxygen but while the flames affected non organic material like normal, any living creature that got covered in it somehow survived even if they did get burn wounds.

Dante was somehow the exception as the fire didn't harm him at all and over the next few weeks he learned about his new power. To this day he still wonders if the liquid somehow gave him his abilities, awakened them or simply made him aware that he had them in the first place leading to him experimenting with what he could do. As he trained he quickly discovered that unlike the Human Torch he couldn't fly, though not for lack of trying. After nearly breaking his arm he finally gave up on it and instead focused on what he could do.

At first he intended on becoming a small time supervillain and get just enough money to get by on a day to day basis, but after his gasstation robbery during which nobody got hurt and he only got around 50 bucks, he realized he felt too guilty about what he did to continue. He returned the money anonymously in a blank envelop.

Dante had originally planned to simply never use his powers again but after he moved to New York for college ended up becoming a minor part time Super Hero and eventually joining the Spider-Friends.

Occupation:

Legal Status:

Group Affiliation:

Place of Residence:

Powers:
Symbiote Biology: Even without a host, the Venom symbiote is capable of freely extending its biomass into tentacles and tendrils, and usually manifests a fanged mouth and large white eyespots. It can also manifest a humanoid head, torso, and arms; and after being cleansed became able to take on humanoid form without a host for brief periods. When bonded to a host, it can shapeshift to mimic any type of clothing whatsoever, as well as blending Venom in with his surroundings, rendering him invisible. The symbiote has augmented all of its host's physical abilities to superhuman levels equal to, and in some cases greater than, Spider-Man's.

Camouflage Capabilities: The symbiote is capable of shapeshifting to mimic the appearance of any form of clothing, can camouflage with its surroundings to appear invisible, and can even mimic the appearance of other people.

Constituent-Matter Generation: The symbiote can use the living abyss comprising its matter to generate tendrils and pseudopods, and can use this for lethal effect against criminals.

Parasitic Inheritance: The symbiote can copy the powers and abilities of other beings by interfacing with their genetic code, and primarily utilizes the spider powers it adapted from Spider-Man.

Webbing Generation: The symbiote can convert its constituent matter into strands of white or black webbing, which it can shoot from the white patches on the back of its hands at high pressure

Immunity to Spider-Man's Spider-Sense: Due to Spider-Man being a host to the symbiote, Venom, and his offspring, are able to bypass Spider-Man's spider-sense.

Regenerative Healing Factor: Additionally, the symbiote is capable of healing injuries in the host at a faster rate than normal human healing allows. The symbiote is also capable of healing injuries and illnesses that current human medical care cannot such as cancer. The symbiote has enabled its host to recover from injuries that should have been lethal

Abilities:
Surprisingly Viloa actually has some skills in the occult. Who knew those books were real?

Tools/Weapons:
she has her symbiote

Biography:
Really not much can be said of Viloa's early life though she did have busy parents and stayed with her grandmother in new York very often. Really it was not to bad of a life simple and direct like most people that don't get intertwined with heroes and their nonsense. The most stand out thing was finding her grandmother had a collection of books on magic, Viloa never really gave it much credence as something that was real or that the books were. That was wrong apparently her grandma used to be quite a powerful sorceress but managed to retire and live a quiet life. This fact was not something Viloa learned till much latter, but before the truth she enjoyed reading what she saw as make believe magic. So in truth her life was rather set to be normal, but if it had been normal she wouldn't be here now would she? The change happened while spiderman was active and fighting some group of Villains Viloa didn't even know were a group. Venom was among them and during the fighting was forced from eddie brock, likely annoyed by it's host losing to spiderman again. Either way forced or willing it left Eddie for a new host, the issue was finding one. Viloa likely wasn't a first choice or a choice that would be on the list but when during the battle the building it and Viloa were in collapse due to some explosion or other it had little options. The symbiote was crushed and injured and now needed someone Asap and Viloa was fatally wounded so it might have thought it would get a mind free body to control.

What happened in reality was a bit different, perhaps by luck, perhaps because of the latent magic in her, or because the damage was so extensive the symbiote merged more fully with Viloa than intended. While all hosts merge to some degree this was a more true mixing than any before the symbote literally becoming inseparable from Viloa. This closeness has caused the pair to almost become a new new person merging their personalities and stabilizing the emotional symbiote into a more stable pure state. This change has also affected viloa most noticeably leaving her with a desire to play hero and an infatuation with peter parker.

Appearance:

Costume:
1624901802703.png
Powers:
Psionic Exoskeleton-Armor: Armor can generate an enormously strong, powerful, durable, and impenetrable psionic exoskeleton armor around her entire physical body. It can be further enhanced by drawing more power, energy, and strength from the bloodline of her Japanese ancestors. This exoskeleton drastically enhances her strength, endurance, stamina, agility, invulnerability, and durability, though she can only maintain it for short periods of time lest the effort leave her drained. In situations of extreme emotional stress, Armor can significantly enhance her exoskeleton's size, strength, agility, dexterity, and durability, but she can only do so briefly as the strain can render her unconscious. The strength, power, and size of her psionic armor greatly enhances and increases tremendously when her relatives die. In addition, the body armor greatly heightens and strengthens the concussive force behind her offensive and incredibly destructive blows, and makes her practically invulnerable and immune from a significant degree of physical harm and damage. To some extent, she can shape her armor, such as her ability to form Wolverine-like claws and make them extend outward.
Superhuman Strength: Her body armor greatly strengthens and amplifies the concussive force behind her unusually offensive and highly destructive blows. Her psionic armor grants her enough superhuman strength to lift a Skrull ground tank and punch someone through several walls of a building and even assisted Colossus in restraining a small ship capable of breaking orbit from lifting off.
Superhuman Durability/Invulnerability: The body armor is depicted as enveloping her completely and protects her from tremendously strong and powerful attacks and in some depictions, Armor's armor is strong and durable enough to survive the heat caused from a long fall through the atmosphere. Likewise, she is able to fully withstand the impact from falling to the ground from high up in the atmosphere without any physical or external injury.
Concussive Blast: She can cause her armor to release a large, solid, concussive blast of energy, but it takes a lot of concentration.

Abilities:
Was trained in hand to hand combat by Wolverine and can speak Japanese

Biography:
She was born in Tokyo Japan and later moved to the United States after she recruited to join the Xavier Institute for Mutants. While in Japan she lived with her parents and her older brother Hideo. Her mutant abilities manifested some time after she turned thirteen and her parents and brother were very accepting of her being a mutant. Once at the Xavier Institute she became highly motivated to try to prove herself so that she could officially be part of the X-Men roster despite her young age at the time. She took a liking to Wolverine seeing him as a father figure which was helped by the fact that of all the teachers at the Institute Wolverine is the most fluent in speaking Japanese.

She was eventually able to go on a few missions with the X-Men after they deemed her old enough. One day her friend Edward Tancredi codename was cured of his mutant abilities when an alien attacked the Institute which causes him to fall into a depression and eventually caused him to lose his life. No longer wanting to see the reminders of her former friend Hisako decided to take a break from the X-Men and the Xavier Institute to continue her education at ESU.

    • Speak to animals, and in turn, understand how the animals feel (he can hear the worms)
    • Create potions, which are capable of warding off dangerous sea life
    • Create smoke (learned from Jericho Drumm, Brother Voodoo)
    • Exorcise demons (taught to him by the Devil-Hunter, Gabriel)

  • Anthropology
  • Accomplished fighter: Smith was shown to be able to take on three superheroes at once, despite being a relatively ordinary man.

Tools/Weapons:
  • A boomerang
  • A lasso
  • A bow and arrow

Biography:
Hiawatha Smith is the son of golden age hero The Chief, who assisted in battle against the Axis Powers during the second World War, battling the likes of The Red Skull and Ameridroid.

Years after the war's conclusion, when The Chief had a son, he passed his knowledge onto the boy to help preserve the traditions of his people and help fight evil wherever it may appear. At age fifteen, this boy joined the Amazing Adventure Team, a group of like-minded adventurers and do-gooders trying to recapture the pre-war glory days of their idols, like Doc Savage and Tarzan. This is where he gained his "Hiawatha" moniker, demonstrating great leadership skills.
The team included the wild man Ka-Zar and his companion Zabu, the patriotic Gardner Grant Jr., American everyteen Kathy Carter, and martial arts master Abe Brown. Together, they rediscovered the lost civilization of Abysmia, located the Stones of Merlin and managed to put plenty of criminals behind bars.

Over the course of five years and roughly sixty adventures, the team agreed to split to focus on their personal lives. Smith took the opportunity to peruse his career as a professor of Anthropology, after seeing the beauty of the world's cultures.

He currently works at ESU, and he often lets out-of-town heroes stay at his house when the need arises.
