Synapse Institute is the largest think tank in the world, with specialists in everything ranging from Environmental Science to the Middle East. Located in Washington DC, Synapse Institute is the dream employer for PhDs everywhere. Equipped with labs, conference rooms, and libraries, Synapse Institute strives to make their employees as comfortable as possible. Much of the research is used by the United States Government, making the employees at Synapse a valuable asset to the nation's security. However, there is a competitive atmosphere- who can come up with the next big thing, which department puts out the most articles, etc. Do you have what it takes to be a Synapse Industry Employee?
This roleplay would follow the lives of several of these specialists at the Institute as they compete with one another to produce the most cutting-edge research. The competitive atmosphere of the institute is a tough workplace, and rivalries often develop between different departments. But what happens when they have to work together, faced with a seemingly impossible problem. And what happens when people start to make friends in other departments, fall in love, etc.
