Jasmine and James were born to one of the richest families in the US. As the sole inheritors of this fortune, they were spoiled, to say the least. Despite this, they were always kind to those around them, though this was never encouraged by their parents. To be frank, their parents raised the twins to fulfill their gender roles. Jasmine learned to cook, horseback ride, and sew. She was taught to be as positive as possible and light up a room. James, as the male heir, was taught to always go by logic. Chess, boxing, and things of that sort were what his education focused on. That is, until their parents decided to stop homeschooling them.
As the twins navigated their private highschool, their split became more apparent. Jasmine became the mother figure to the punks. She could be seen at all the parties and drifted further from her family's values. On the opposite end, James could be seen working as class president, joining all the nerdy clubs the school offered, and avoiding his sister at all costs.
After graduation, James being valedictorian and Jasmine ranking somewhere in the low-middle, they began college at Harvard university. No, Jas has no fucking idea how she got in. However, about two years into their schooling, they got a call that their parents were arrested and all assets in their family's names would be seized. According to the police, their parents had been involved with the Russian mafia. Suddenly, everything made sense.
James was made to be the next head of the family, the intelligent representative for the family. Jasmine, on the other hand, was shown to be likeable, so she would be the social liaison. All the secret meetings suddenly made sense. And sure, their parents were from Russia, but that makes no sense, right?
Now, a year after all that went down, these two are connected in a new way, because they are all the other has. They had to move into a studio apartment until their 21st birthday, so they could access some of their funds. And even then, quite a bit of it was taken by the police and Harvard can't associate itself with their family.
So, they decided to go to Southview University, as it's the best school in their price range.

Adelina and her twin sister, Zelena were found as babies in a forest by a coven of witches. They decided to take in the children and raise them as their own.
