Persona

Personality: "No pain, no gain," is the motto that has been hammered into Sooth since she was just a young girl. Without realizing it, she has wholeheartedly adopted the motto as her own. She believes that all things in life are gained through suffering. This has created an odd dichotomy in Sooth's personality. In bad or harsh situations, Sooth gets happy and excited to see what gain occurs from the suffering. However, in good and peaceful times, Sooth gets anxious and worried that she's not progressing as she should. For this reason, she is extremely willing to go through harsh trainings and odd routines because she knows that good things will come her way for suffering.

In general, Sooth cares deeply for herself and few others. Her actions and decisions are made solely on what is best for her and what will help her develop. She doesn't take other people's feelings into consideration. With that said, she understands that not everything can be done alone and thus, others are necessary to obtain one's goals. That doesn't mean she is always friendly towards others. Instead, she is nice as it suits her needs and when she believes someone has met their usefulness, she will no longer be nice to them. She is often angered when people insult her, but she becomes enraged when people insult her dancing skills as she's worked very hard to develop them and has extreme pride in them. While she's not one to throw a punch, she's been known to throw out some pretty mean insults.

Fears: Failure, aging, ending up alone.

Family Members: Verity Furlong - mother/coach

Biography: Sooth was born to a once-amazing dancer, Verity Furlong. She was, many years ago, world famous and known as one of the world's premiere ballerinas. However, age eventually got a hold of her and her beauty faded. Other dances were more beautiful and just as graceful, slowly leading to Verity's fall from grace. At 34 years old, she had her first child, Sooth. She tried to make her daughter the best dancer the world had ever seen. She began training Sooth before she could walk. Verity paid many individuals to help train her daughter to become a top notch ballerina.

At 10 years old, Sooth began auditioning for roles requiring small and young children. Many directors were impressed with the young girl and she was labeled a child prodigy. People came from all around the world to see her performances as she was just as graceful as most adult dancers. For a five years, Sooth was the go-to for a young child role, male or female. By the time she was 16, however, casting directors were hearing about some of the outbursts that Sooth was having. Others were afraid to work with her, and people slowly began picking other dancers. Verity and Sooth misunderstood what was going on and began putting Sooth through extreme physical training. She believed that being able to do superhuman moves would allow her to get back on top. Verity used her considerable fortune to hire bodyguards and assassins to help train her daughter's body. While some simply ripped them off, some were serious and aided Sooth in her physical training.

After a couple years of this extreme training, Sooth returned to auditions. People were amazed at the height of her leaps, but at the same time, she was bounding too as she often leaped off the stage or too high for the lights to catch her. The directors admitted to her that they would love to hire her for the roles, but she would have to cut her jumps so as to appear realistic. At first, she didn't have trouble with this if it meant getting her fame back. But after a few shows, she realized that dancing like this was a waste of all the 'pain' she'd gone through. Verity, who was only interested in fame, tried to convince her daughter to just do the routines as she was told, but Sooth refused. She decided to start her own dancing troupe. However, to do so would require a lot of money and that's why she decided to become a Hunter.

I like her! She definitely seems like one of those characters who you don't expect to kick your ass, but then does. Accepted!
