Yes, Shadow also was half human, but he preferred to be in his wolf form as much as possible. And wolves hunt. He was ripping the flesh of a deer apart. Blood was flowing out of 4 holes in the deer's neck, the holes were made by Shadow's sharp fangs which were now covered in blood as well, just like his muzzle. Shadow was always alert, even when he was enjoying a meal. He ripped off another part of the deer's body and looked around while chewing on it. It started raining and Shadow dragged the deer under a tree when he suddenly was shot by a dart in his chest. It didn't take long for him to go unconscious and fall on his side on the wet forest floor.

Hayle walked to the forest near her house and sat on a log. The forest made beautiful rustling, chirping, and fluttering noises. She shifted her leg on the log and looked around. The green and black scenery made her feel calm. But then she heard growling and tearing. She sat still and listened closer.

There was a pretty loud thud when Shadow's large wolf body hit the ground. He groaned loudly but couldn't move. Completely paralysed and helpless he lay next to the half eaten deer. Blood covered the floor and the side of Shadow's head. The rain didn't make the wolf's conditions any better, his fur got soaked and he started shivering a little.

Hayle looked around and jumped off of the log. She explored a little and pulled up her hood. She found a paralyzed wolf. "Holy shit," she whispered, putting a hand on its chest carefully to see if he was still breathing.

The only sign that Shadow was still alive was his chest slowly raising and falling with his breath. He was breathing way slower than usually and his heart seemed to be the only muscle that was still working.

She put an arm under him and realized that she could, in fact, carry him. She lifted him up gently and walked quickly back to her house.

She layed him down on a towel on the kitchen floor. She was going to college online for veterinary purposes. She got some cotton, put it in a circle around the dart, and worked the dart out

Shadow groaned as the dart was slowly pulled out of his chest. He hoped that the poison would start to wear out soon, but for now he was only bleeding at the small hole that the dart left. He opened his eyes and swept his gaze around the kitchen, locking them on Hayle as he spotted her.

Hayle looked back at him and patted him. "Stay." She said, goingto the kitchen cabinet to get more supplies. She hoped he wasn't strong enough to get up yet because that would involve a chase. She grabbed water and some deer she had shot a few days back.

Shadow rolled back on his stomach as the girl left his sight. He tried to stand up but was only able to sit, standing was putting too much weight on his still weakened paws. He licked his fangs and muzzle and looked around the kitchen.

Hayle kneeled beside him with the deer and water. "Hey," she whispered in her soft voice. "Look." She said, sitting the items on the floor in front of him. She wiped het hands on her jeans.

Shadow twitched his ears as Hayle was speaking to him. He looked down at the piece of deer and the bowl of water. He decided to first drink some water which turned red immediately by the deer's blood that was still covering his muzzle and fangs. After he lapped up some water he almost attacked the piece of deer, showing off his huge fangs.

Hayle got up and pulled a kitchen chair over in order to watch him. she felt her phone vibrate so she took it out of her pocket. U doing ok? A text from her brother. Yup she quickly keyed. She flicked the send button and averted her eyes back to the wolf.

Shadow was really tearing the piece of deer apart, he had been hungry since he couldn't finish his meal in the forest before he got hit by the poisonous dart. He slowly wagged his tail as he swallowed small parts of the piece of deer.

Hayle winced, but shrugged it off. She took a drink of her mountain dew. She reached over and cracked a window open. Her gaze shifted to the wolf again.

Shadow finished the price of deer and lapped up some more water before looking up to Hayle again. Water was dripping from his wet muzzle as he walked over to Hayle. He rubbed his head against her leg as a form of thank.
