The world of Altair
The world is mostly islands with the largest one being roughly the size of texas, thats the island of Ecrane, the world capitol. Thousands of other island dot the world all conected by a single massive Ocean. The temperature is moderate at the equator, but it gets colder the further south one goes, and hotter the further north one goes. The south pole is a massive chunk of ice almost as big as Ecrane, whereas the north pole is a ring of eternally erupting volcanoes...
The Dread Lords
About 20 years ago the seas were ruled by the four dreadlords. Titan lord Ghett, The giant with impossible strength. Lightning Lord Erika, the fastest being in the world. Venom Lord Jacque, a man more poisonous then anything on the planet. And Grave lord Mathias , the man who Conquored death. These four were begrudging allies, however when Grave lord Mathias left his territories, the other three began to wage war over who would gain his lands. After three years of conflict, and men dropping from all sides like flies a truce was made, and mathias territory was left unclaimed. The other three Calmed down and with the rise of the global government decided to follow the Grave lords Example and retired.
The world government
The ruling power of the world, 25 years ago the island nation of Ecrane gained access to steam powered ships. This expanded their reach exponentially their only obsticals were the Dread lords, when they retired the world quickly fell under the empires control. In an effort to secure their position they sought to find and destroy the dread lords. Unfortunately they found Grave lord Mathias first, retired on a small island with a family. They destroyed the island hoping to kill him. Yet the Grave lord still lives much to their terror....
