Personality (2+ Paragraphs)

Siphosethu, or as most people have called him outside of his tribe "Siff" is a very calm and strangely sage person.  When confronted with conflict he will not show any outward anger or aggression to the other person, and instead will try to peacefully allow them to realize his side of the argument.  At times this comes across as not having interest or full commitment into the situation, however this is far from the truth.  This calm nature also translates into other parts of his life, as he prefers the quite contemplation of sitting out in nature to being involved with a large conversation at a party or gathering.  Thus it makes him appear to be more of a loner and even makes it appear as if he does not want to show any emotion.  There have been times where he's shown happiness, however such things were often frowned upon in the small offset tribe that he had come from.  Surprisingly he has managed to keep together an attitude of looking at situations from both sides, even if this goes largely against what beliefs his tribe had.

The problem with many of these aspects is that it gives him the appearance of being a very aloof and egocentric person.  Somebody who seems to think they are far above any conflict to interest getting into such conflicts.  This is again not entirely true, but it's what most may see when they first meet him.  Siff may not be cowardly, but he is quite vague in what he expects of others, and as such is uncooperative when it comes to working with others.  This might also give off unreliability and a secretive attitude.  Something that can't quite be forgotten about Siff is that even though he may be quite wise and considerate for his age he's still young, inexperienced, and critical of himself.

Quirks (3+ full sentences)

Siff will begin to lightly drum when there is nobody talking/when he's thinking.

Will tap the side of his hip as somebody is talking but stop after they finish.

Does not look anyone in the eye unless he's in an argument/ a fight with them, or if he's angry at them.

Talks to animals as people and acts as though they understand him.

History (At least a healthy paragraph)

Siphosethu's history began when he was born in a tribe descended from Zulu family lines.  In his tribe his birth was a strange one, as it came several months after most other kid's births, thus resulting in his name meaning, "Our Gift" a more unexpected gift to his parents.  It was known from a young age that something was different about Siphosethu than the other children.  When they would all go out to play Siphosethu would sit idly by and watch them, never feeling interested enough to join in unless he was obligated to.  When it eventually came time for the children in the village to learn the art of combat Siphosethu far exceeded above any other child in the tribe and was regarded with great pride by the tribe leaders.  From then he was told that he had the makings of a tribe leader one day.  The problem came when on his first hunting trip at the age of ten he refused to make the kill on a successful catch.  Instead he set his weapon down and bowed respectfully to the caught animal.  After one of the other hunters was forced to kill the animal himself, they all walked back to the village with great shame for Siphosethu.  Even his parents could do nothing but shake their head at him and wonder what they had done wrong.  At one point the leader of the tribe got into contact with somebody helping a big project leader scout out for potentially useful children.  It was quickly decided that Siphosethu was no longer, "Our Gift" and would instead be, "Their Gift."

The village handed Siphosethu off to the man for a great price and Siphosethu would make his way out of his home country to a large estate owned by a man known as Van.  The only things that he brought with him were his style of making clothes, a family necklace, two blue feathers representing his village, and two earrings that were signifying of him being a past warrior of the village.  From then on in the estate, Siphosethu was more often referred to as Siff as none of the staff wanted to take the time to learn the child's name.  After the tests had been done on Siff he began to crave going outside into the wilderness more often.  An activity that was often denied by Van, much to Siff's muted disappointment.  It has been five years since Siff came to the estate owned by Van, and Siff still wonders on what his life could have been like had he been less reluctant to kill.
