Haltija
A haltija (haltia) is a spirit, gnome, or elf-like creature in Finnish mythology that guards, helps, or protects something or somebody. The word is possibly derived from the Gothic *haltijar, which referred to the original settler of a homestead — although this is not the only possible etymology.

A sweet young spirit looking to help others, Sindre really just wants to prove himself useful....despite the fact that he subconsciously causes more trouble than it's worth. He tends to make things more complex than it has to be—even simple tasks like going to the store and getting eggs. Sindre always does everything the hard way, much to the annoyance of his peers. However, he's also hardworking and coolheaded, not to mention a freaking ninja. This guy is so quiet that he could walk up behind you and it would take up to five minutes to realize that he's there. He is, however, a very sweet young man, one who expresses his feelings by doing things for the other person, usually at his own expense. He's a bit of an idiot, though, and cannot understand metaphors, similes, and overall depth. Plus, he can't read people's emotions if they slapped him in the face. He tries, though.
