Eastside vs Westside

Westside
Those who live on the West Side haven't exactly had the easiest time; poverty, drugs, and violence are common place in the cracked, rundown streets. Gang Activity is prominent and has become a problem amongst the youth with many turning to crime in desperation. People usually fear the west side teenagers, assuming they are criminals or will cause trouble, and many of then are willing to oblige to that stereotype, which might be what led to the fourth of July firework prank that burned town the high school in their area. But there always have to be some diamonds in the rough, there is more to these trouble makers than people believe.

Eastside
In contrast to them, we have the rich and beautiful of the East side, well at least that's how the West siders view them. Middle class and up families live in the clean streets of the neat suburbs, but even perfection has cracked and trouble happens in paradise. There are secrets behind the closed door of the mansions and pain behind the hair extensions and false eyelashes.

History

Clary was born and raised in the West side, her mom having her when she was 16 and her father was 18. For the first 12 years of the girls' life, things were great; her brothers were born followed by her little sister. It was actually the birth of her sister where the doctors discovered her mothers' cancer and from that point on it was all downhill. Her mothers' medication was extremely expensive for the family, her mom being a waitress and her father being an amusement park attendant for the local fair. Clary began doing odd jobs like; babysitting, mowing lawns and even faking her age to be a cashier till she got caught. Then, on the girls last day of 8th grade her mother passed away.
The girls' father had been so in love with the woman that he had been torn apart as if he died along with her. Turning to alcohol to soothe his pain and beating out his anger out on his children. Clary quickly took over as the leader of the house, often taking beatings so her siblings wouldn't have to and committing petty theft for food and to pay bills once her now deadbeat dad lost his job. Then, when the girl turned 15 she had been selling weed for awhile when she was approached by kids that she lived near whose father ran the local gang, offering her family and a way of getting money to support her family, though not officially being a gang member since she wasn't 18. From then on she took care of her family through selling drugs and committing crime, still often taking beatings from her drunk father but less often. Now a hardened Westsider.

Brea is an only child, and very spoiled. Her parents are the type of people who think money grows on trees, and have always handed Brea everything she wanted on a silver platter. But money comes with a price, and the price for all of their money was that her parents were never around. She was raised by a series of nanny's, since one never seemed to want to stay for longer than a year or two. She was taught the way of life when she hit puberty by a woman who'd gone through it like, sixty years prior to her.

Always slightly resentful of her parents, yet not dumb enough to outwardly speak on it, she lashed out at everyone else. The current nanny, the neighbors, her so called friends. As she got older, she realized that if she kept acting that way, she wouldn't have anyone. So she learned how to be manipulative of those around her, to keep 'friendships' so she wouldn't be alone. She is pretty and popular, and everyone either wants her, or wants to be with her. So she thinks. There are those who dislike her, but she pretty much ignores them unless she thinks she needs them for some reason.

Writing is a major outlet for Brea. She writes poems, lyrics, even short stories. It's a way for her to deal with stress and anxiety, and she usually has a journal on her, just in case she feels the need to write. There is a deeper side to the fake nail having, sun-kissed skin beauty. But her wall is very high, and few care to make it to the top.

EDEN'S personality isn't as colorful as it is negative since the age of 10 and a half her experiences and lifestyle formed what she is now, a sarcastic, bold, imaginative and negative girl. Since she was a little girl Eden had always had a crazy imagination, and would always find a way to entertain herself when she was alone, as she got older she focused all her imagination on her drawings, and often used it as a way to calm herself and relieve stress.

Eden is a very opinionated person, and she learned when she was younger it wasn't always a good trait to have. She tends to not speak unless spoken to but will not hesitate to speak her mind boldly, and will often say things she doesn't mean when angered. Even since she was a little girl she's wanted to explore, she wanted to expand her horizons and views of things to improve her drawings and even writing, of course, that was a dream she would never achieve. Overtime she became a negative person, and will openly express that. She doesn't like feeling hope or happiness, because she knows that the stronger that hope is, the more despair she will feel when it all comes crumbling down.

Other than that, Eden is very determined, she tries (and fails half the time) to focus on school in hopes that she could get enough money for a better lifestyle for her family. She finds it hard to let others help her and has extreme trust issues. Eden wants absolutely nothing to do with the people on the East side, and often ignores them or insults them.

THE moment Eden was born her life was a train wreck, her mother, having getting to the hospital too late, bled out only minutes after giving birth. Eden spend most of her life blaming herself for her mothers death, including her father, dont get me wrong, he loved her more than anything in the world, but he couldn't handle it. The pressure got to him and eventually he left Eden and a baby boy he had with some random woman who abandoned them the night before. So Eden, at the age of 10 was left with her grandmother and a new brother. She developed a sense of maturity as she grew up, eventually she had to start taking care of her grandmother and already had to watch after her little brother Ethan.

At the age of 12, Eden finally realized she needed to start fending for her family. Ever since she was young she would try and try to get good grades in hope she could save her family from the poverty of the west side. But, work was rough and almost impossible to find, and by the time she turned fifteen she resorted to other means, illegal means. It wasn't ideal, and she was never for it in the beginning, but a boy she foolishly fell in love with had convinced her. The group usually stuck to their side and robbed small houses of the elderly, which was kind of messed up but Eden had to do what she could. In her time she learned things she never wanted to, including how to physically defend herself.

One day, the group had decided to try and rob a house on the east side, Eden, who wasn't an idiot, told them she wasn't going to come and tried to convince them not to go. In the end, they got mad and beat her half to death, the boy she was in love with, included. They drug her to the East side and attempted to use her as bait, luckily she got away before she got into any real trouble, but since then she's had extreme trust issues. The people she knew the most, the people she called family betrayed her. Since then she's strayed away from other people's help and from friends in general, and focused her trust in only her little brother and grandmother.

Eden has a small collection of journals she's kept close since 14, in there was all her drawings she had done over the years. Often they would express how she felt, and sometimes they would express her imagination and want to see the world. Sometimes she would write short poems to go with them, or even use the journal to write personal thoughts. But if you so much as touch one of her journals, she will not hesitate to physically attack you.

Description: Marina isn't really the most happy-go-lucky person in the world. Mari is rash and straight-forward, not really sugar-coating anything. But she's also dependable and loyal, willing to help a friend no matter what they need or when they need it, which sometimes comes back to bite her in the ass. Marina doesn't have much of a filter, but that kinda makes her charming in a way. She's not really any good at sappy emotions, and will probably leave the room if someone is crying. Marina doesn't really do well with love. Mari is kinda awkward if someone expresses romantic interest in her, often blushing and stuttering before finding a way to exit the conversation. She honestly has no idea how to respond to compliments either. Most of the time, if Mari receives a compliment, she will downgrade it and descend into a rant of self-loathing. Underneath that strong and rash exterior, Marina is self-conscious and not at all confident in her abilities. But you have to really get to know her to see that side of her. Marina is absolutely brace, spontaneous, and off-the-wall. She will try anything once, and maybe more times if she has fun. She doesn't talk about her past much, and becomes cold if someone asks.

Biography:

History: Marina spent the majority of her life in the downtrodden parts of Ships Haven. Her father, who was an abusive drunk, accidentally killed her mother when Mari was only 4 years old. Her father was subsequently sent to prison for involuntarily manslaughter, leaving the family-less Marina to be bounced around foster homes. Though she witnessed the murder, Mari no longer remembers what had happened. Subconsciously she had locked those memories away to protect herself and her mental state. She never stayed in one home for too long, as she was always considered the trouble maker. Mari would trick other kids into acting out in order to get something she wanted, like dessert, keys to the family car, and even drugs. Mari began smoking weed at thirteen, and continued on to harder stuff like ecstasy and cocaine as she got older. Though she never really got addicted to those drugs or the large amount of alcohol she drank, she definitely enjoyed them.

When Marina turned fifteen, she ran away from her foster home. That one in particular had been majorly abusive, and often starved the kids for days if they misbehaved in the slightest. Mari wasn't about to live that kind of life, and left the house with only her duffel bag of clothes, drugs, alcohol, and the wad of cash she stole from her foster dad's wallet. For a while, she was able to live on the street comfortably, sleeping in Main Park and being able to buy what she needed. But, eventually that money ran out and Mari had to learn how to fend for herself. Though she promised herself she would never succumb to selling herself, Mari definitely wasn't above stealing what she needed, nor using her stealth skills to steal for others. She became known as "The Shadow" to many gangs, who would hire her to steal important items like legal documents, weapons, drugs, and sometimes even police evidence. They paid her handsomely, enough for her to live in a one-bedroom apartment with her dog, Hercules.

  Since he was born, Chase has lived a materialistically comfortable life in a large mansion with pretty much everything he needed available to him. Everything tangible. The price of living in wealth for the Montgomery children was having to grow up with emotionally detached and pushy parents. If any of the kids were upset, they would have to deal with it or console each other, as they would not get any sympathy from their parents. On the other hand, if their grades were to slip or they weren't performing well in activities, their parents wasted no time in intervening and berating them.
  
  Throughout high school, Chase has always been one of the most popular students. No matter which sports he took part in, he was always one of - if not the - best on the team. This also boosted his popularity with the girls. There was no shortage of pretty (often shallow) girls wanting to date him and he often gave in just because that was the way things seemed to be. The popular students wanted to be his friend and the less popular students either hated him or wanted to be him. And that is one thing that secretly tortures Chase. He hates that people assume he is spoiled, elitist and a bully, like some of his friends are. People have accused him of being perfect and not entitled to complain about his life. He once tried to drop some of his sporting activities and social activities with his privileged friends, but it didn't work out too well. His parents were angry he was showing the wrong image and when he tried to reach out to the less popular students they rejected him. He found himself resigned to being the popular rich kid to please everyone's expectations.
  
  His parents are often working late or travelling away on business, which leaves Chase as the "responsible" adult in the home, when he himself isn't busy. He often feels like the burdens of his siblings falls on his shoulders. Abigail has been suffering with bulimia for two years, and despite their father being a psychology professional, the man isn't even aware of his own daughter's issues. Instead, she always confides in her twin brother who would never turn her away. Similarly, he is always ready to help his youngest siblings, despite having his own problems and stress to deal with.
  
  Suffice to say, whenever the chance to have fun comes around, Chase grabs it and takes full advantage of the opportunity. As well as whilst playing sports, drinking alcohol also puts Chase in a position where he has to make a conscious effort to hold in all of his built-up aggression in order to avoid getting involved in a fight. Deep down, he knows the main source of his aggression is his parents, but calling them out on it has never ended well, so far.

Personality: While growing up without a father figure around him to show him what's right and what's wrong all he had was his mother and his two little dogs and he grew up being very over protective with his family. When he was going to school in the West side he was known as the "Trouble Maker Royal" or just the cute bad boy in the west side. He was very caring and understanding when it comes when someone needed help with anything. He is very risk taking when it comes to making hard decisions and supporting his family. He has a few anger problems here and than and is very aggressive only when needed to be to get what he wants.

Bio: Richard was born in Australia with both mother and father named Rebecca Dawson and Jason Throne and grew up in the West Side. When Rich turned only two of years from what his mother told him he packed his bags and left making out with a rich women at their house front door and never came back. They only way now that he could see his father is as in he never had one and he doesn't care about him and his money. Even though him and his mother wasn't living the good life as they would wanted he still mad sure that his mother had everything she needed and make sure that she was able to do what she had to do.

When Richie turned 13 he was so into cars and he just loved wanting to fix them or even get paid just to fix them so he can help take care of the bills along with his mother job at the local dinner and that was exactly what he did two years later. When he turned 16 he opened shop in the small garage that they had and he was helping people who lived in the west side fix their cars and get paid just to do it from them while at the same time going to school and watching the dogs and football practice but it was all worth it at the end. Coming back to school after summer break was his senior year, he didn't think that he was going to go college for anything and he was going to stay home with his mother but she just keeps pushing him to go. Once he got the call that someone (could be one of his friends) fireworked the school, he mentality laughed to himself that day happy that he didn't have to go to school anymore until he got the call that school will be shared in the East Side.

Personality​

Taylor hadn't always been independent and somehow self-possessed but he had to if he ever wanted to escape the mean streets of the West. From a young age he'd already taught himself not to betray himself to emotions.

Taylor has a sharp, defensive wit, an acidic temperament, and a very sarcastic attitude when he chooses. Giving the impression of holding most people in disdain, Taylor is seen as extremely arrogant, self-centered, and overconfident. He even exhibits sadistic tendencies, which he got on account of being raised in such a horrible environment. He also shares a very snobbish attitude towards the rich. Even if he won't admit it though, Taylor is envious of them and their lavish and hopes to one day own as much as the Eastsiders.

Despite this, Taylor in fact has a strong moral core. He is dutiful and just, willing to make the right decisions, and sacrifices if it comes down to it. Though he can be, at times, vindictive, he is cruel only to protect those he loves. There's no barrier or limit he can't push through to aid his loved ones.

History​

Taylor was born in the suburbs of the West to Rory Rose and Delta Franks. Rory was only nineteen, and Delta seventeen when he was born. The two hadn't even married yet, nor had they approval from their parents to ever begin their love affair. Delta had been kicked out of her home upon word of Taylor's birth and moved in with Rory who already had a single bed-room apartment. Rory and Delta struggled at the beginning, with Delta falling prey to prostitution and Rory who'd been succumbed by the criminal underworld. Life certainly wasn't going to get any better for the couple.

In his early life all Taylor could remember was the constant yelling and bickering that went on in his household. The shattering of beer bottles, the screams of agony as Delta was being beaten. His kindergarten memories were filled mainly of fights, anger, and him searching for ways to channel the fury he'd been exposed to at home. Taylor can easily recollect the thousands of times his father missed his ball games, or that his mother brought home another man from work. Little things like this are what warped the young man's brain to make him who he is today.

Middle school was somewhere Taylor could barely handle, he'd already been diagnosed with extreme anxiety and depression, and was a nobody for the most part. It was when his mother, Delta decided enough was enough though, that he'd finally broken. The kindergarten memories only seemed to be deja vu, the fights, the horrors he'd put himself through were only the beginning. At home, Taylor was heavily abused by a drunken father, who too brought home women, but this time for his own sexual pleasures. There came a point where Taylor even wanted to kill himself, to end it all, to put it all in the dirt, no, but what would that do?

Instead, he began working multiple shifts, the diner he worked as a waiter every Thursday night. In the coffee shop every morning, a barista. Every other night, he'd began working at the Club as a bartender. Everything seemed to be going right from then on, well, until his father ended it all. What seemed like progress was really just his father breaking all the more, and so, on a chilly Monday night after work Taylor came home to a still body, a gun in the hands of his bleeding father with the note. The sixteen year old was given the option to enter foster care, but chose otherwise. He now drifts through school and home, hoping to get a break someday.

History
Tatiana lived on the west side for most of her life. She had lived in a particular bad neighborhood. It was a place where violence and gang affiliations were prominent. People were stolen from frequently and no one spoke to the police about it in fear of being targeted or being labeled as a snitch. Her parents tried to shield their children away from it as much as they could. They raised their children with love and had get togethers with their family and friends. As Tatiana grew older she began to realize just how dangerous her neighborhood truly was. She learned to keep her head down and toughen up. Her environment had taught her how to survive.


She had seen her fair share of horrors, her childhood friend's life taken because of the death of someone else, the brutality of the people sworn to protect and serve. Things changed when she was 15 though. Her mother managed to get a job on the East side as a brain surgeon and her father pursed his dream in becoming a interior designer. They were happy that they would be able to take their children out of such a dangerous environment.


Tatiana didn't like it at first. She missed her friends and family. She had grown accustomed to like in the west. She learned that everyone wasn't as bad as they seemed. And that there was more to her old home than the violence and crime. Tatiana had learned a lot from the older people and some of the criminals. The change was hard for her and her brothers. They were treated as outsiders for the longest time. Eventually they were able to adapt and make friends. Tatiana still kept in touch with her friends front the west. She didn't abandon them because of her new home.

  Gemma has always lived on the East side, and for most of her life, everything was perfect. She had a father who absolutely adored her, a loving mother, and siblings who were always by her side. But then things quickly erupted when a tiny little secret came out amongst the family. When Gemma was 13, a mysterious man showed up claiming to be Gemma’s father. The accusation was quickly swept under the rug, and the man disappeared, but Gemma never forgot. All of a sudden her parents were always arguing and her father quickly distanced himself from her. It did not take Gemma long to put together the pieces, but she did not dare to say it out loud. Everything had been a lie, and it all started with her mother having an affair. Gemma’s life was torn apart and she had never felt so alone. As soon as he was old enough, her brother moved out of their house and only comes home a couple times a year. Her younger sister became her father’s pride and joy, and now gets all of the attention. She had to live in a house where she had to pretend everything was perfect, and could not let anyone know just how broken her family really was.
  
  Gemma took to music and running to make herself feel better. Nothing makes her think clearer than putting on her headphones and going for a run. She does everything she can to avoid her house during the day, while everyone is home. Making herself busy with anyone, or even going shopping. Gemma tried countless idea’s to get her families attention back on herself, but eventually gave up and began using it to her advantage. Her father will agree to anything to get her to go away, and her mother will give her anything she wants just so that she will keep their families secret.

History: Alyssa grew up on the west side. Her father was her only parent to be accounted for, considering her mom left with another guy after she was born. Her father was not the greatest person either, sleeping around, getting drunk and doing drugs. To say the least, it was rough. Eventually, Alyssa got into some of her own bad habits, such as drinking and smoking. Alyssa was also sent to Juvenile for vandalism. Alyssa prefers to stay away from drama, but she always ends up in it either way. Alyssa also used to sleep around quite frequently, leading to her father to always have outbursts once he found out. Alyssa was never scared, but she always flinches when she feels as if someone is going to hurt her. She likes to smile a lot, and is known to laugh hysterically for no reason. She scares people away a lot, but she doesn't really care. She gets into fights often, but only if the other person starts it. She also used to get in trouble for making sexual comments, and cursing. She has a bad habit of cursing. She has a job, which she brings in a decent amount of money in, but its not a lot- a lot.

History

Ah Axel Frankford... the kid who lit the school on fire. Axel is a Westsider born and raised, his parents ditching him when he was 6 but honestly, never really bothered him, his older brother took him in along with the rest of the gang members. He was raised with guns, drugs, and violence, always being a bit of a troubled kid. Through elementary school, he played pranks and told off teachers, everyone blaming it on the gang when in reality it was his severe ADHD that his brother couldn't afford medication for. Once he reached high school Axel took it upon himself to start smoking weed to try and keep himself focused, him along with Clary becoming the most popular weed dealers in the Westside. He just didn't give a fuck anymore.
Once he turned 18 he was official inducted into the gang, now being a full fledged member but still wanting to finish high school (though he won't admit that he cares) saying he's doing it to give all the teachers that told him he wouldn't a big ol' middle finger, not caring about it Much beyond that.
Then July 4th happened, the boy had gotten a shit ton of fire works and decided, why not set them off in the halls of the shit they called a high school, the building quickly burned to the ground due to the construction being so old and flammable. He never was caught though, and honestly maybe he didn't everyone a favour.
