Grew up in a loving lower middle class family with a father, a mother, and two younger twin siblings (brother and sister). Both her parents were uneducated, but able to provide for the family through manual labor. However, an unfortunate car accident left her mother paralyzed from the waist down and her father six feet under.
​

She started working at age 12, doing any job she was offered in order to provide for her family - yard and house work at first, then jobs at restaurants and businesses paid under the table, and eventually small errands for underground businesses and gangs. At age 13, she noticed how much money illegal fighters made at the various fight clubs around the city and decided she wanted in.
​

She watched the fights as much as possible, often working for the ring leaders by collecting and organizing bet money, and at age 14 began picking fights on the streets on her way to and from wherever she was working at the time. When she was 15 and had picked up enough skills to survive, she made her fighting debut. She lost most fights at first but learned quickly with these new, more skilled opponents. Now, at age 17, she does relatively well and earns steady income for her family. She's not incredible, by any means, but being underestimated for her size and gender often gives her an advantage.

It's a dangerous job, with some opponents pulling knives on her or posses catching her outside (how bow dah) and beating her in revenge for a loss (both situations resulting in her various scars).

One night, she came home from a fight to find a well dressed woman drinking tea with her mother in their living room and offering her two options: juvenile detention for her illegal activity, or enrollment in the Moongsong experiment.

Wears half a face of makeup when on the streets in an effort to at least slightly hide her identity. Goes by the name Dueol 도얼, short for Du Eolgul 도얼굴, meaning "Two Faces". Usually wears muscle shirts, tank tops, and crop tops, sweats/joggers or shorts, sneakers, and taped up hands and a ponytail if she's planning to fight.
