I love the way you shade and highlight your art, you really have a way of bringing your characters to life I was wondering, what did you use to highlight in some of these pictures ? It looks like white gel pen or I was thinking chalk but I wasn't sure, it looks like it'd be fun to use ^<^

I use these:


The charcoal pencils I don’t use often, mainly because it’s a little washed out on the gray paper


Bottom one I did with the white charcoal, and outlined with gel pen

And here’s them used together (along with black and red pens) on black paper

A human version of Star/Violet I made for a RP, the patches represent Moon/Rose (turquoise/green) Sun/ivy (yellow gold) and Rise/icey (pink)

The jackets color is a callback to her original skin and hair tone as a Porcilavian.

Yes most of them have multiple names, it depends on what point in their story I’m talking about them from. I’ll make a list and put it up at some point.

Meet Jeff!

Jeff is a doorman for a residential building.


Jeff is what everyone in the building calls him since he doesn’t have a name tag and always introduces himself as The Doorman. If pressed for what his name actually is and not his title? He’ll just shrug.


Jeff is made of shadows and has white glowing eyes and mouth that are surprisingly expressive.



He creeps some of the tenants out...
...but he’s just a silly lil guy


He is very skilled in scaring away anyone with the balls or stupidity of sneaking into his building.



But he’s actually really friendly! He hates having to scare people and always greets every tenant with a happy greeting!


He also has a perfect memory and never forgets a name or face! So don’t get on his bad side and try to rob his building or harrass his tenants. He will hold a grudge.
