Name: Wendy Ishikawa

Nicknames: Wen, Swift, Lightning

Age: 26

Nationality: Japanese

Personality: Wendy is a Determined, Independent and Concentrated woman. She is known by many to be Cold and Standoffish, often distancing herself from others because she believes that they will just slow her down and sees it as 'babysitting'. This resulted in her being a poor team player and was often viewed as having 'a lot of trust issues'. Being independent, she often just looked out for herself and didn't really care if others were left behind. Over time, she began to display compassion and slowly began to trust others, particularly her Family and her Teammates on the Police Force. As she slowly began to open up to others, Wendy began showing natural leadership.

Upon joining the Strategic Response Unit, Wendy became more willing to trust her fellow officers on the force. Her past experiences make her an efficient negotiator, where she is able to talk almost anyone down, from a hardened gangster to a troubled and suicidal teenager. When talking to suspects on edge, she uses empathy and is able to talk to them at their level. In addition to being a natural leader, she has come to care greatly about her team, often turning a blind eye if there are in-team relationships or she will comfort a teammate who is having trouble outside of work.

Specialties: Crisis Negotiator (Primary), Close Quarters Combat (Secondary)

Weapon of Choice: H&K MP5A3 w/ Flashlight, Foregrip, Red Dot Sight & Adjustable Stock

Biography: Wendy was born in Eastern Asia, in the vibrant city of Tokyo, Japan. Her Father died in a Yakuza-related incident when she was young. When she was ten, Wendy's family moved to Canada. Her Mother was a Hairstylist and she has one younger sister. Wendy worked hard in her Academics, striving to leave her mark on the world. But growing up, she had very few friends due to her cold personality. Aside from her hardworking mother, the only other person that Wendy ever really cared for was her little sister, Sarah, whom she loved dearly and the only person that Wendy has treated with love and care. In turn, Sarah also serves as Wendy's pillar of strength and her primary motivation to be a better person. Wendy would go on to graduate from High School with Honors. Not long after, she went forward to study Criminal Justice at the University of Toronto. After obtaining her Criminal Justice Degree, she went to Police Academy where she would graduate top of her class.

Wendy's first few years on the force were spent on the Police Drug Squad. During her time in the Drug Squad, it didn't take her long to build a reputation as a Police Officer, as she would topple even some of Canada's more powerful drug lords. This track record would earn the attention of the Strategic Response Unit. While she was not a frequent applicant, she was recommended many times by her superiors due to her skill, determination and natural leadership. However, she eventually decided to apply for SRU, wanting to get away from the drug scene, at least for a while. In the end, she made SRU and was placed into Team Five to fill a vacancy on the team. Most of the team had trouble accepting her because they had no say in her joining, but she showed her dedication, hard work, determination and above all, loyalty. Within a year, she was fully embraced as a member of the team and would serve as their Second Negotiator and CQB Specialist. The next two years of SRU would be long, hard and stressful. From talking down suicidal teens to spree shootings, Wendy found herself even wrestling with her future on the team. Since then, Wendy has been promoted to Sergeant and is now the Leader of Team Five.
