i'm a total amateur when it comes to coding so i'm messing up A TON. first of all why isn't the image showing up?? and second how do i change the color of the divider?

The imgur link redirects to the image link, which would not work. You'll have to copy the link of the image address and insert it.

and second how do i change the color of the divider?

Not possible. You can, however, substitute it with CSS that will allow you to change the color.
