Name: Ruby Barnes

Appearance: Stands at about five foot nine, with a slim, hourglass frame. Her hair is a vibrant scarlet color, falling in loose curls most of the way down her back. Blue grey eyes peer out of a long face, her high cheekbones and straight nose giving her an elegant look. Her right ear is pierced three times, her left ear four, and she has a black and red Phoenix tattoo that sprawls most of her back, the head and top of the wings showing when she wears a tank top. Typically found in jeans, four inch heels, and either a blouse, a button up, or a tank top with a leather jacket.

Strengths:
- Creative; she's been doing ballet since she could walk, can play two instruments, can sing, and is a decent artist. she creatively focuses primarily on photography, that being her biggest passion
- Passionate; Ruby does nothing in small amounts. it's not always easy to rile up her interest, but for the right things she's totally dedicated.
- Curious; when she wants to know something, she will find out one way or another, whether it's knowledge, or secrets

Flaws:
- Short tempered; whether it's a family trait, or if it comes from her hair, it's not hard to tick her off, though she does tend to cool down and get over it quickly
- Withdrawn; she's not fond of being touched, and is typically uncomfortable when people are open and emotional with her
- Unforgiving; if someone does manage to fuck up and make her truly angry, it is very rare for her to forgive them, even after time has passed.

Personality: There were certain requirements for being in Ami's close, inner circle, one of which being an innate sort of kindness. This Ruby possessed in spades. She never found it difficult to offer a helping hand, often tutoring for younger students and doing charity work with Ami. She also has a very strong sense of justice, and as such doesn't put up with bullies. She differed from her friend in her reservedness though. While Ami was emotional and outgoing, Ruby preferred to keep her feelings to herself, letting few people truly in to see them.

Background: Ruby and Ami were best friends literally since birth. Their parents were blue bloods, old money, and their mothers had been childhood friends as well. So it made sense, when they found out they were both pregnant at the same time, to practically raise the girls together. They were utterly inseparable. They never fought, whether over toys and games or boys once they were older. Unlike Ami's home, which was always warm and welcoming, Ruby's home was often cold and very clinical. While not bad parents, they were never physically affectionate or emotionally available. They had a strict future set for her, and any time she strayed from that they retaliated by emotionally shutting her out. Luckily for her, Ami's parents had more than enough love to go around, and gently helped her towards her goals, letting her grow in the directions she wanted, while maneuvering through her parents minefield of demands.

Personality: Jade is the type of person who is the first to arrive and the last to leave class to avoid crowds and to get some more classwork done. He loves to stay ahead of his classes. Usually you can find him in a window seat or a corner to watch every one else or to read a book. He doesn't have any friends if you talk to him he usually comes off as mean and rude but it's just his background.

Background: He was born in Seoul,Korea and was abandon at the age of 3 on the streets of New Orleans on Vacation. Since then he bounced around the foster system learning to not get close to anyone and attach. He has a terrible secret that he keeps close to him only the people he knows and the school so it won't happen again.

Deep brown eyes sit above a slightly crooked nose from being broken once, and thin lips surrounded by a well manicured goatee. His skin is tanned from lots of time spent out doors, and his muscles are well defined from an active lifestyle and regularly working out. Typically found in business casual clothes, button up and slacks at work, button up and jeans when not. Prefers muted colors.

Appearance:

Harlow is a smol girl, standing at 5'1 and weighing a mere 110 lbs. She has red hair that is gradually turning into a strawberry blond, grey eyes, incredibly pale skin (Seriously don't leave this girl in the sun for even 5 minutes) and very noticeable freckles along her cheeks and nose, arms, and shoulders. She wears contacts most of the time but does occasionally wear glasses if she's having a particularly rough day. Harlow isn't one to be noticed much, having no physical traits that are typically considered "desirable" in this day and age. She hasn't filled out nearly at all which makes her a bit self conscious, and some even consider her to be "too skinny". She keeps her hair in a short pixie cut that frames her defined face nicely. She has no tattoos and only the standard lobe piercings in each ear. She also usually dresses conservatively, usually favoring baggy sweaters, rolled up baggy jean pants (That she always needs a belt for), and black flats.

Strengths:
+(Somewhat) level headed: Harlow is level headed when it comes to other's problems. Although she has major internal freak outs herself, she has no trouble keeping calm enough to think through to a plausible solution for friends/ family. Of course, being a little ball of anxiety herself, she has a hard time taking her own advice about situations.

+Selfless: If Harlow is anything, it's definitely being selfless. Although she really does enjoy making others happy with her actions, she really just has a hard time saying no, even when it's inconvenient for her. It can go as far as making up a favor if it's absolutely impossible for her to get something done in an allotted time.

+Curious: Being an extremely open minded individual, Harlow enjoys experiencing new things and new ways of life. It helps her better understand where others are coming from and therefore she feels like a much better person for having educated herself on something. This also tends to come from a more deeper need to be liked. If she has learned anything in her 16 years of life, it's that the easiest way to be friends with someone is to relate to them. If she can learn and understand why someone is the way they are or just simply how something works or what have you, Harlow will want to find out.

Flaws:
-Self conscious: Harlow tends to get too absorbed in her thoughts when it comes to herself. She hates the way she looks and has a fear of being disliked, even by strangers. This makes her incredibly awkward around people, instantly coming to the conclusion that she will inevitably do something that the other person dislikes and therefore won't want to be friends with her.

-Push over: Because Harlow is so self conscious about the way others view her, she tends to be a bit of a push over, even going so far as to go out of her busy schedule to do a favor for someone. She has a hard time saying no, but it usually just comes off as an act of kindness rather than a hindrance for her.

-Closed off: Harlow is actually a very tightly shut book when it comes to her emotions. She absolutely hates showing any kind of weakness in front of others (Especially when most already see her as a weakling when her size is considered) and has a habit of acting happy even though she's hurt/ upset.

Personality: Harlow is basically her own worst enemy. Although she has the potential to be a shockingly outspoken person who would have no trouble making great lifelong friends, she holds herself back when she gets stuck in her head. She is a habitual worrier and will overexert herself to make sure she is viewed as a friendly, kind person. Her self consciousness causes a lot of anxiety which in turn causes her to become very anxious and even a bit clumsy with others around. She has very little social skills, but has managed to make a few friends in her blossoming high school career. Due to her curiosity, Harlow has tried just about every after school activity, ranging from sports to art to science (Although it wasn't all her. Most of the time her friends give her an encouraging push to go try something she wants to do). Theater really stuck with her, and that is where she feels the most at peace with herself. Because she can slip into imaginary characters she doesn't feel the need to please others simply because the actions of characters are not her own. When she is performing her anxiety seems to slip away. Despite all of these negative traits, deep down Harlow wants to see her closest friends and family happy. She is extremely selfless person to those that have her trust which makes her a loyal and trustworthy friend.

Background: When most hear of Harlow's upbringing, none would exactly consider it easy. Both of her parents love her greatly, but her mother has an extremely hard time showing it and occasionally puts her wants and needs before her child's due to events in her own bad childhood (To which she always apologizes afterwards in a teary manner). Harlow was very spoiled by her father but has a hard time keeping his attention. He was constantly working which left Harlow and her mother quite lonely in the house. Her mom deals with her own struggles with alcohol and anxiety medications which usually lead to angry (But nonviolent) outbursts over little, insignificant things. This would always scare Harlow, seeing her mother cry and get angry but eventually, as she got older, she just went and locked herself in her room so as not to watch her mother's meltdown. Although nowadays things have become much better (Especially after her parent's divorce), things aren't exactly peachy keen in her home. Her mom had become quieter, but still has occasional angry outbursts (That sometimes involve kicking her out of the house when they get into arguments from time to time until she texts Harlow, asking her to come back and talk it out). Harlow's relationship with her dad is better than ever, and she could even argue that he is her best friend. She takes piano lessons at a local college which he pays for and encourages her every day to practice, even going so far as to buying a piano for Harlow which prompted her mom to do the same so she wouldn't look bad. Through it all Harlow has learned to accept her mother's mentality and has made the best of it.

Appearance: Brenda has a slim build, weighing at about 117lbs and standing at about 5'5''. She has long black hair that reaches her lower back and she usually leaves it down.

Strengths:

Quick witted: Brenda is able to clap black quite fast with a joke or an insult when in a verbal altercation with someone, or even just teasing a friend. This makes her come off as rube or mean sometimes...I mean, she kinda is.

Determined: When Brenda wants to do something, or wants to get something done. She will do it. Unless of course there is a legitimate reason as to why she can't, other than that she will do what she ha her mind set on.

Social: Brenda is a very social person, at school, online, you name it. She's kinda popular at school, not regina George popular, but she's popular.

Flaws:

Vain: Brenda doesn't see exactly how weak she might be. She only cares about what others think of her and talks about it incessantly.

Alcoholic: She doesn't realize it, but Brenda is struggles with an alcohol addiction. She loves to party, and ever time she goes to one, she gets blackout drunk. You can find her drunk most weekends, either alone in her room, or at some party down the block. When she drinks she's the life of the party, but she gets upset easy, and she says rude things.

Reckless: She has a disregard for consequences because she knows that she could get out of with so much as a slap on the wrist.

Personality: As much as you want to believe that Brenda is a bad person, she actually isn't that bad. She just acts like this because she thinks that the only way people are going to like her. She thinks that being the life of the party is how she'll get friends. When in reality, she doesn't have any friends, they're just people she hangs out with. She's actually really funny, and nice once you get to know her, but she doesn't let that side of her show often. Her high school years have been miserable, she doesn't know it, but deep down she does. She's too afraid to just open up and be herself because she doesn't know what people are going to think about her, but what does know is that they're not going to want to be friends with the boring nice girl, they want to be friends with the girl that gets white girl wasted at every party and does stupid shit.

Background: When she young she was the sweetest little girl you would ever meet, but when her mother left her and her father when she was 9 something changed. it didn't help that she was also going through puberty. Over the course a month, her whole personality changed. She became meaner, and her and her father slowly grew apart. once high school started, she began to experiment with dugs, alcohol, and sex. After all she was an easy target for the older kids, a gullible freshmen willing to do anything to fit in. By grade ten she got reputation of being the girl who was an easy screw. They guys looked forward to having her at parties because they knew that them or one of their buddies would get laid. The girls liked her because she was always around, and always willing to do anything for them. When she did stupid things while drunk she thought that the girls were laughing with here, but they were laughing at her. Now in grade 11, its the same thing over and over again, parties, school, fights with her dad, rinse and repeat.
