Seasons
At the start of out world.. the beginning of life. The beginning of everything we see and know.. unsurprisingly there was chaos. No order. Ice storms and volcanoes. Blistering heat waves and sand storms. People lived in exposure to these harsh elements and were too primitive and exposed to last much longer..
And then the spirits came. The first to die whom embodies what would soon be known as nature and the seasons had awoken after their last breath, seeming invisible to man. They had taken the world under siege… now don't take these words into their negative connotation. It was meant to be. They had realized their abilities and each of the dead had the ability to do what fit them the best.
Years and years passed and these spirits lived a life watching humans. They realized that they had the ability to make this chaotic world orderly. With cycles. That is what the Seasons had been born from. They even realized that they could enter the world in which humans could see. Some admitted to being who they are, corrupted by the greed of the humans they watched. They were killed by that very corruption as some humans worshipped, others wanted them dead.
This resulted in the next fitting soul who had died to take its place, sometimes with memory of life before, and if too corrupted, some with no memory at all. It began the cycle of the season spirits replacements and it was realized that their were two of each spirit. A male and a female. Should one die, the other works hard to keep order and though tiring and exhausting, it must be done.
Now we reach modern day.. Spirits move freely from their world to the humans, now there being an unspoken law against admitting power. Killed like mortals when accidents happen, some still manage to last hundreds of years being careful.
Spring- Embodies innocence and curiosity of a child. Enjoyment of all little things and a sense of irresponsibility and a naive trust in others. They like to have harmless fun.. sometimes at others expense. They often have a pesky little sibling relationship with Summer, are neutral towards Fall with a fair respect both ways, and a strong but silent bond with Winter.
Summer- They are hotheaded and rude at times, but the most passionate and protective over what they believe in. From being all words to actually getting violent, they are quick to anger… but this doesn't mean they are heartless. In fact, it means they care deeply enough about things they are hurt easily. They hate Springs pranks but still watch out for them, they are taken care of by Fall who can calm them with ease, and have a love hate sibling or more relationship with Winter.
Fall- A complex people they are, Fall is very slow to anger but it is a lot harder to mend a bad relationship. They are careful and responsible, with a calm but warm personality and an air of maturity. Well rounded, they are usually the smartest around, yet still like to have fun. They are amused by Spring and never tipped off by said lighter hearted counterpart. They care deeply for the safety of summer and handle their outbursts well, and can easily make Winter open up and talk about more important things.
Winter- Mind you now, being a cold season does NOT make them cruel or angry. In fact, they are cool and relaxed, yet quiet and a little bit dark. They are the most cautious of others and tend to fright easily. Such a personality comes off as emotionless, however most winters had tragic previous lives. They trust springs because of their lack of belief that one may act rashly. They believe Summers hearts are in the right place but a winters argumentative side is brought out when they act on impulse. This is really just concern. They understand Falls well and can talk about truly worrying things to them without feeling judged.
