COMBAT INFORMATION

Skills: (non-magic)

Most of these skills were picked up when he was living in his hometown. He's still learning given his young age. (Since we have a ranged fighter with beast-taming attributes, I am thinking of having him picking up summoning magic through the journey)

1. Communicate with birds; using falcons for observing and hunting

2. Communicate with cats and tigers

3. Limited skills with hunting bow, accuracy of about 6/10 arrows will hit. Limited strength in a bow attack.

Strengths:

1. Slightly faster at recovering compared to kids of his age. By that, he can start using an injured arm or leg faster than most kids, even though it's not completely healed yet.

2. A rather quick learner, mostly within his field of expertise. He generally finds it not too hard to understand harder concepts.

3. Rather mature for his age. Probably due to how his mother had brought him up with a somewhat strict expectations of him.

Weaknesses:

1. Terrible at very short-ranged attacks.

2. Body movements can't really catch up with his mind processing speed.

3. Rather stubborn in what he firmly believes to be important. To some extent will push it onto others.

Magic Abilities:

1. Enhanced strength - temporarily boost his strength to 40% in the span for 5 seconds in his arms or legs. He cannot do this repeatedly. He needs to wait another minute before using it again. His muscles will hurt the next day if he uses it more than 10 times.

Weapons:

1. short sword, about 30cm in length, light-weight.

2. a bow strapped to his back

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Occupation: none.

Personality:

Sairai is a cheerful, kind-hearted boy, still having some innocence and naivety in his speech and actions. Although still immature and quite young, he isn't particularly mischievous, though always thrilled to challenges and friendly fights. He is polite when talking to strangers, his curiousity about random thing dominating than feeling wary about them, or questioning whether they are good or bad people. His choices and speech reflects how simpleminded he is, except when he is fighting or hunting. He doesn't have a particularly bad temper, but can be quite unreasonable when he is. It's easy to make him angry when someone does call him simpleminded or when he is humiliated. However, he most fierce and infuriated if those he cares about are hurt or in danger.

Every now and then, he can show a rather brutal and vengeful side, developed over the last two years as having beginning to accept the harsh reality of life, and the undercurrent darkness in the society.

History:

Sairai grew up as a young boy with a doting but kind mother in a rather modest town. They lived not too far from where the wealthy 'Ater' family had their main estate. Though because of his rather frugal life, the young boy never had any interactions with them. In his small town, there weren't too many boys of his age, so he had often helped his mother at home, or went out hunting with the elder teenage boys.

He enjoyed talking with them, but he still liked spending evenings with his mother the most. His mother would tell him stories about when she was younger, before and after she had met his father. She had traveled to different parts of the world, being the daughter of a merchant. He had once asked Laira why she hadn't been living with her family any longer. The woman merely answered that once someone grows up, they should begin to live away from their parents. Sairai felt that there was perhaps another more complex reason, seeing the look in his mother's eyes, but didn't really ask any further.

The 'Ater' family had been known to have a few beast tamers as their front soldiers in the military. About two years ago, when Sairai and a group of elder boys were hunting foxes and deer for food, from the bushes there had emerged a sabertooth tiger. Some were alarmed, except for one who was somewhat able to converse with animals. They pointed at the collar on the tiger's neck, identifying that this was one of the beasts from the 'Ater' family. Thinking that it was perhaps one that had ran away from the home accidentally, they sent Sairai and another teenager to the land. It was only to find that the land had people dying in packs just a few weeks before.

The few animals that had escaped the curse were not wanted, and thus some of those who had more concern for these tamed beasts decided to feed them on the outskirts of the town. Though the elders didn't like it, they didn't really say anything since nothing bad had came to the town. Sairai became good friends with the white tiger that he had encountered, and she had followed him later on even as he started travelling. He decided to name her "Shiro".

When he was about 10, his mother began to get sick. It was rather common these days. Someone might seem fine, and then a few weeks later they seem to have a cold. Before you know it, it would appear to be some unknown sickness leading to much more heavier consequences. Having lived in the town for all his life, and in the care of those older than him, he had no idea what to do. He would have perhaps began to be even more dependent on others, had he not met a red-haired woman named 'Nergui'.

Now with a new goal in mind, he decided that he wanted to bury his mother, in the hometown that he knew very well that she always wanted to return to. The only clue he had was the pictures she had drawn, of a village that was buried deep in the mountains of snow. Wanting to see 'Nergui' live a different life from what she was known for, he decided to travel with her. Or rather, it was more like she was just accompanying him, to help him find the village. He's been travelling with her for a few months now. And in that time, he has seen that the world is not as kind as compared to the town he grew up in. The very scar he has from encountering a group of bandits is proof already.
