Pain.
Pain in the heart.
Pain in the mind, and the nerves
That reach all the way through your bones and muscles.
This pain cannot be avoided.
And it is not caused by a black eye or a drunken man,
But by the smallest things.
It hurts.
It hurts when you are stabbed by the dagger of sorrows and betrayal.
And when the attacker is your ally.
When you've known your attacker for a while.
Then at midnight when they show their true form,
It does more damage than any gun can do.
The dagger of pain that pierces through every bit of flesh
And bit of hope in your body.
It dismisses every bit of trust you had in your friend
As it slowly plunges deeper into your chest.
You loved them.
You grew with them.
You trusted them.
The pain of having everything you know about someone be wrong.
As they hurt you more
It can and will do more harm like a meteor;
Crashing and obliterating everything.
Pain.
Pain in the eyes.
Pain in the mind and the mouth
That swallows your soul up in one gulp.
This pain will never leave.
It will be buried in a scar that will stay in your heart
Until you can no longer breath.
The pain of being betrayed.
Of building up a fortress with your friend,
Only for the friend to destroy the fortress with the cannons within.
It hurts more than any gun can do.
Your eyes swell up and your vision gets blurry.
Your blood boils and you turn red with fury.
You begin to shake as you fill with fear and worry.
These mixed emotions caused by pain.
The pain of a dagger made of betrayal and sorrow.
The sadness of trusting someone
Only for them to not care about you.
Not care about anything
But themselves.
Betrayal.
Anger.
Fear.
Pain.
But most of all,
Sadness.
Pain in the heart.
Pain in the mind, and the nerves
That reach all the way through your bones and muscles.
This pain cannot be avoided.
