Harper is head-strong, determined, and intelligent. She is kind, giving, but won’t back down when she knows she’s right. People often say her red hair says a lot about her personality. Harper is fun, easy-going, and sarcastic. Outgoing is always associated with her, but she isn’t afraid to start a conversation. She is strategic and thinks through each situation but is also pretty quick on her feet. She's skilled with a variety of things and her goal is take care of others. Often she puts others before herself.

Harper’s parents had her when they were old. They were children of the first generation on the island. She was raised and taught their ways, but often disagreed with her parents more stagnant way of life. She wanted change and for her people to prosper. She craved freedom at a young age, but her parents were determined to quench the flame. They were strict and made her focus on studying. Their rules instilled a love for medicine and taking care of people. She was always taught to keep quiet, but she never did. For that, she often received severe punishment and wasn’t allowed a lot of freedom outside her home. Her parents died when she was eighteen and from then she has blossomed into an independent individual.

Harper feels like leaving the island could change their village for the better. She thinks his plan isn’t as crazy as it seems. They are happy and safe, but with the limited resources, will they always be that way? Her forward thinking is in line with Zane’s proposal.​

  ➢ zane is zane, so naturally he'd agree with himself, though he does have his doubts. he's worried that the group will end up in serious trouble or danger and it'll all be his fault. he just wants to continue the journey that the others - including his parents - never came back from, that he's heard stories of. he wants to be as brave as those before him.
