  Having started their body modification journey at 13, Reggie's body is littered with art.
  
  They have (or had) several piercings; three earlobe piercings on each side––with the bottom piercings having been stretched to 9/16" though they are currently at 2g; two tragus piercings on their left ear; one rook on their right ear; both nipples; a left side labret; an eyebrow piercing on their right brow; two nostril piercings on each side; and a bridge. All piercings were removed per facility policy.
  
  Both of their arms are covered in tattoos. The tattoos do not seem to form a cohesive sleeve and vary in terms of quality; some are markedly more aged than others with a couple having faded away due to time and poor placement (e.g., they have a near-faded outline of a rose on the outside of their left thumb). Most of their ink has been done in black and white with a few in color. For the most part, the tattoos take on a traditional/neo-traditional style. However, they also appear to have several stick-and-pokes that were likely done by acquaintances. Notable tattoos would be the aforementioned rose; two stick-and-poke molars on the back of their right hand placed between their thumb and pointer finger; a small stick-and-poke red heart on their left ring finger; an outline of a three-pointed crown on the inner shell of their right ear; a double-headed snake, with a coiling body that starts on their right shoulder and goes up their neck, just behind their ear.
  
  Their thighs are heavily covered in tattoos as well; though since they rarely show their thighs––none are of note. Below their knees is largely blank canvas. Though at the top of their right shin, there is a thick-lettering of "ACAB." Between their shoulder blades, they have a tattoo of two bears representing the big and little dipper constellations.
  
  Lastly, on their stomach, just under their breasts, they have a tattoo of Medusa's decapitated head.
  
  When asked if their tattoos carry any significance, their response has been, "They're fucking pictures. Just fucking enjoy it."
  
  

  SCARS:

  Any scars that Regina has accumulated over the years are largely covered by their ink. Though, they do have some scars that weren't able to hold ink; for example, one might notice the five cigarette burns on their inner forearms––two on the left, three on the right, all just below the bend at their elbows. Their knees are also covered in scars from several years of skateboarding and scraping their knees on concrete.
  
  Under their left eye, there is a horizontal keloid scar from a bar fight that almost cost them their eye.
  
  

  BODY TYPE:

  Regina is lanky and does not have much muscle mass beyond what would be expected of someone who regularly skateboards, bikes, and helps carry band equipment. When tour season is over, and they aren't as active, their body becomes more gaunt and emaciated. This is likely caused by the increased substance-use and lack of personal upkeep––including eating. Tour season tends to hold them accountable for taking care of their needs outside of pleasure.
  
  

  STYLE:

  Their style is quite simple. They tend to wear faded back jeans and large band T-shirts. When it starts to get colder they will layer with either a flannel, their sherpa-lined denim jacket, or their black leather jacket; occasionally, they will wear knit sweaters or sweatshirts. To upkeep their hair, they typically follow a pattern of shaving it during the summer and letting it grow out the rest of the year.

  IMPRESSION:

  For the most part, Regina comes off as detached and apathetic. Unless they are actively pursuing someone, and usually that is only with the intent to sleep with them, they have little interest in other people. Though it might be more accurate to say that they are interested in people, but they don't typically care about others in any meaningful way. People are another means to an end, and for Regina they're only interested in using people for their own gain––whether it's for sex, money, drugs, or a heavenly combination of the three their intentions never dip below the superficial.
  
  Hypnotic abilities aside, Regina can be quite the charmer. They seem to know what people want to hear and just how to say it; this skill has helped get them out of the doghouse with several short-lived partners. (While Regina does not actively seek out romance, they consider themselves a romantic and desire to be loved despite rarely giving it in return).
  
  For those they have attached themselves to, for whatever reason, they can be considered fiercely loyal at their core. However, they are prone to letting down those closest to their heart due to their addictions (alcohol, coke, weed, and psychedelics are their primary vices). With addiction and loneliness being their most intimate bedfellows, they tend to be reckless with their body and often get themselves into needless trouble; sometimes convinced that the feeling of their body against the concrete is more real than the animal in their chest. Generally, their heart is in the right place, but they have trouble taking the righteous path.
  
  

  OTHER NOTES:

  Regina swears. A lot. Almost every other word that comes out of their mouth is a swear and most likely some variation of "fuck." However, in their more vulnerable moments, especially in their song-writing, their swears are almost non-existent.

• SOCIAL HISTORY.
  
  While mutants were something Reggie had heard whispers and rumors of throughout their life, their own status was not something they were aware of until much later in their life. And up until that point, their life had been unremarkable.
  
  For a majority of Reggie's upbringing, their parents had been absent. Their father worked the night shift and slept most of the day while their mom was hardly present, having never really recovered from her postpartum (and as a result struggled to bond with Reggie as an infant). It made it, ultimately, easier for the child to have a sense of freedom and autonomy early-on as they were often left to fend for themselves. With not much life in their home to keep them entertained, they set out to find it in the community; most of their childhood and adolescence had been spent lingering, loitering around Santa Monica and Venice Beach––skating along the walkways, carving through pedestrians, with little regard for their responsibilities outside of what they wanted to do.
  
  Eventually, they found their way into a group of older skaters who were more than willing to let any lonesome kid tag along so long as they could keep up. Reggie, being younger and desperate to prove their own maturity, desperate to prove they were cool, found themselves performing increasingly reckless stunts to impress their new friends––which did occasionally result in trips to the ER; though it all paid off as the group seemed to be amazed at the courage (reckless abandon) that Reggie seemed to have. At times, their friends forgot about Reggie's age and treated them as if they were older than they were and this was when they introduced to alcohol and marijuana. Maybe they did it to fit in, at first, but they quickly found that they liked it; that it made them feel better (or at least different); that it made them braver (or more tactless); that it actually relaxed their nerves.
  
  Two puffs, a pipe, and a dream was all they needed to survive. If life could always be spent living in a suspended haze, they weren’t willing to return to their regular disappointment.
  
  By the time they entered high school, their student file had earned its own drawer in the records cabinet. They were only at their school for their freshman year before they racked-up enough suspensions to warrant an expulsion that sent them to a continuation high school. After only a semester there, they dropped out at the age of sixteen. School was not a concern for them, anyway, as they felt anything in their textbooks could be Googled if they really needed to know that information. Shortly after making that decision, they decided to move out of their parents' home and live with friends while they figured out their next move.
  
  For two years, they bounced through different homes, living out of their backpack and a trashbag, meeting new people, and eventually picking up the guitar where they discovered their own passion for music. This later turned into entering the local DIY music scene and joining their first band that later connected them to their last, most successful band (SY/RIN).
  
  During this time of transition, Reggie’s abilities started to come to fruition. Though at the start, it was not something they had full awareness over; for a while, they assumed that they had just become a master manipulator. The realization that their words had actual power came to them after a rather nasty fight with a lover where, at some point, they had told her, “Just fuckin’ forget about me.” And she did. What they didn’t realize then, either, was that their commands were not easily undone once spoken.
  
  After that night, Reggie began to experiment with this newfound ability and tested its limits regularly to figure out just how much they could get away with (and it turns out, they could get away with quite a lot). It wasn’t long after that that they started to use their abilities to advance their music career. At first, they only suggested that their audience promote their music and invite more friends to their shows. This gave them quick fame that helped them get signed to a record label.
  
  And handling their rising celebrity only seemed to come naturally to Reggie; they liked the fame if only because it made getting someone into their bed easier; it made them feel truly loved and adored; it made the drugs cheaper; and to be honest? They felt like a GOD. It was hard to not take advantage and it quickly evolved into something more nefarious.
  
  Soon, they were not just using this ability to gain fans, they were using their lyrics to cast spells of euphoria over their audiences. They found that with a simple shift in melody, with a simple lyric, they could send the crowd into a frenzy. Their commands seemed to have more sticking power when sung. In fact, once Reggie started singing their commands, the success of their live shows and the rumors of overwhelming euphoria launched their career further––turns out there are a lot of desperate people looking to feel happy. Even if it meant being under the control of the rockstar, who often got their audiences to cause riots and start orgies; they assumed they could even get their audience to drink the Kool-Aid if they were so inclined.
  
  Unsurprisingly, it was this kind of reckless behavior that led to their capture.

  HYPNOTIC VOCALS:

  Reggie's power is quite simple. They are able to manipulate their voice, at will, in such a way that when others hear it, they are put into a state of absolute suggestibility. This gives them the ability to command others and bend entire crowds of people to their will. In essence, and in theory, they can get anyone* to do whatever they say. Their commands are not only limited to ordering people to do things for them––they can use it erase people's memories, contort people's perception of reality, and talk people out of panic. The real limit of their abilities seem to be Reggie's own imagination. They do have to be careful with their words as not specifying, or being too careless could result in unsavory permanent results.
  
  The major limitations of this ability would be that their target has to be able to hear them. If the target were wearing earplugs, were hard of hearing or deaf, or were too far away Reggie's abilities are null. Additionally, the effectiveness of their commands seems to vary when recorded and played across audio systems. It is most potent when the user and subject are together, in person. It also seems to have a heightened effect when paired with a melody (though this does not seem to improve it's recording capability); singing seems work in tandem with the hypnosis as music has the potential to access deeper recesses of the mind. Essentially, this strengthens their influence and makes it more difficult for subjects to break free from Reggie's spell.
  
  For the most part, the effects of their abilities wear off once the subject is out of Reggie's vicinity. However, memories appear more fickle and tampering with those has almost always resulted in irreversible effects.
  
  Note: Those who are under Reggie's suggestion often feel euphoric, separated from reality, almost as if they are astral projecting or in an entirely different dimension. This could also be related to feelings of dissociation and/or depersonalization.
  
  *Their ability has limited effects on other mutants. Psychic-types are not effected. Others may feel the effects of Reggie's ability, as if they are suddenly in a pleasant brain fog, but are still cognizant of their actions and thus can pull themselves out of the fog/ignore the hypnotic effects.

  Mars had their ears pierced when they were a baby, but once their power started to develop their parents removed the earrings for fear that they might be torn out while the kid ran around. Other than that, they have three tattoos (not including the one forced on their body). They have a neo-traditional scorpion on the back of the right hand; the body is black and the eyes are red. On the inside of their right bicep, near the bend at their elbow, they have an old school style pair of lucky red dice (snake eyes). Lastly, on the outside part of their left wrist they have a 3" red lightning bolt.
  
  

  SCARS:

  None. Part of Mars' ability grants them a regenerative healing factor that has healed any potential scarring (suspend your disbelief about the tattoos).
  
  

  BODY TYPE:

  Unsurprisingly, given Mars' level of activity, they are quite lean. While it would be expected that their legs carry most of their muscle mass, they are active in several other ways (calisthenics, rock climbing, pilates, yoga, etc.) that keep their upper-body well toned. There is definition in their abs, shoulders, and biceps, in particular.
  
  

  FEATURES:

  Mars has light brown skin with warm red undertones. Their cheeks tend to be have a slight natural blush and have a light dusting of freckles from all their years running in the sun.
  
  

  STYLE:

  Most of Mars' style can be characterized as confidence as most of what they wear does not necessarily go together, but they never seem to care and even embrace each statement piece that they wear. Their fashion sense is just another extension of their personality and they take great pride in being able to come up with unique looks that most would not dare to attempt. The one thing, however, that stays consistent no matter what they're wearing are their shoes. Mars is sneaker-head through and through and would not be caught dead wearing anything else.

  IMPRESSION:

  Mars simply is. She is a creature of passion, that is often mistaken for aggression; she doesn't care to hold back any part of who she is as she does not believe in living life diluted. When Mars enters any situation, she enter as herself. She is genuine to her core––rarely ever choosing to hide what she is feeling or what she is thinking. While blunt and forward, she is not tactless. She has a high emotional quotient and is quite receptive to what others are feeling and often responds in accordance.
  
  She is also built on impulses––spending time on making a decision is not her style. Most decisions, she feels, have consequences she could otherwise live with and thus it is not worth it to her to waste the time. Life is about risk and reward and so far, it has largely paid off for her.
  
  Though Mars has her own concerns and worries and has certainly experiences bad days and bad times, she does not make a habit of focusing on what she cannot control. If she is upset about something within her control then she deals with it head-on. It should be noted, that when people upset her, her answer is almost always to respond with her fists. Especially if she feels she has been slighted––she has a low-tolerance for teasing at her expense as she is quite sensitive.
  
  

  OTHER NOTES:

  It is easy to write Mars off as impulsive and therefore, stupid, but that would be erroneous. Mars is full of depth beyond the chaos they bring––they're curious and deeply invested in meeting new people and having new experiences. Because of their openness, they have gained quite a bit of knowledge over the years; their own life experiences being their best teacher.

• SOCIAL HISTORY.
  
  Mars doesn't like to talk about their childhood. It's not that anything bad happened to them, they just find it dry even if it was unusual...
  
  Born by the sea, under the warm Argentinian sun, they were appropriately named Marisol (a name they would later ditch). Their parents were both mutants––in fact, their great great grandparents were some of the first known mutants in Argentina; due to the persecution of mutants across the globe, largely because of the fear of the unknown, their great great grandparents founded their own rural community of mutants hidden away from the mainstream. It's just a few hours (by car) from Buenos Aires and to this day, Mars' family continues to live there.
  
  Their mother came from a lineage of elemental mutants whereas their father came from a lineage of mutants with physical abilities. As a toddler, Mars exhibited traits from both sides of their family––displaying the potential for electrokinesis and super speed. With time, however, their mutation mellowed-out and they eventually lost the ability to control electric currents while their speed rapidly started to evolve.
  
  Growing up, their peers described them as "sensitive" and "explosive;" overall they were a welcome member of their community. While at times their passion could turn to aggression, they rarely ever took their anger out on those who didn't deserve it. In fact, throughout their school years, they were known not only as the class clown but the bullies' bully (which is to say, for as long as Mars was at that one room school house, there wasn't much bullying). Their teacher was often frustrated with them and struggled to find coursework that would engage them––given their specific mutation, school did not hold their attention as they could easily breeze through the material. Mars appreciated their teacher's attempts to get them excited about formal education, but it bored them and they were more interested in distracting their peers.
  
  Though they never had to hide what they were in their small community, Mars was never satisfied with the small world they grew up in. They were always antsy and anxious to explore life outside of the community––against the warnings of their parents, who had tried to prescribe fear into their child; tried to explain to Mars that the world was not ready for their kind. But they had never been a good listener, they had a tendency to follow their own path and would often run off to explore the capitol (which was only a quick sprint away). There wasn't much their parents could do to stop them, and they tried, but that only made the pre-teen as sneaky as they were crafty (the only compromise that their parents could reach with their child was that they never leave the country. Mars mostly followed that rule).
  
  It was easy for them to blend into the city, being that it was so large, and they had trouble understanding why their parents had been so weary of them of visiting; after all, it wasn't hard for them to blend into the non-mutant scene. It wasn't until they were fourteen that they really understood the fear their parents had and why they begged Mars to stay within the bounds of the town. As they were exploring the city, searching for something that would hold their attention, they came across a group harassing someone who didn't look to be much younger than they were. When they went to investigate the situation, they noticed that the kid seemed to have patches of scales covering their arms and face and reptilian eyes. They heard the group tossing slurs, slinging death threats, and the like––in that moment, they felt the pull to say nothing but there was an even stronger call, boiling in their blood, to do something. The fight that followed wasn't much of a fight as Mars, despite being outnumbered, was too quick for the group to land any hits. While it was quick, it left a deep impression.
  
  That experience troubled them and following, their rose-colored lens had been lifted and they started to notice the subtle aggressions against mutants––not just the overt ones. For a while, it did instill enough fear in them that they avoided leaving their community for almost a year and half (much to the relief of their parents). When they did return to their adventurous ways, they were more cautious and somehow more reckless; they were cautious in the sense that their hypervigilance seemed to have increased and reckless in that they stopped trying to hiding as much––a somewhat naive belief that they could change people's impression of mutants if they lived openly and showed others that there was hardly any difference about them.
  
  Finally, at eighteen, the young mutant shared a teary goodbye with their small town and set off to explore the world, following the direction of their heart. (Sometimes, if they truly didn't know where they wanted to go, they would spin around and pick a random direction to go off to and stop only when they got bored of running). They never stayed in one place for too long––at most five weeks, never longer than two months. They've set foot on every continent; seen almost every country; visited all the natural wonders; made friends across the globe, etc. Of course, no matter where they landed they managed to find mischief, trouble, debauchery, whatever seemed the most interesting––more than likely searching for something new to sate their adrenaline fix. Some of their (mis)adventures included:
  

  • - Starting 28 tornadoes in a single month (not February)
  • - Running through Area 51 without getting shot or caught (obviously)
  • - Exploring the previously unexplored depths of the Amazon Rainforest (almost touched a poison frog)
  • - Dating an actual princess (for five weeks)
  • - Reversing a hurricane set to hit Cuba (unfortunately, they diverted it towards Florida––they're still working on their aim)

  SUPER SPEED:

  Obviously, Mars is fast. However, their ability extends far beyond superhuman acceleration. That is only one facet of the mutation. Their mutation has not only made it so that they can run up to mach 2 at the height of their potential, it has sped up almost every other aspect of their physiology. For example, their healing process, while not immediately regenerative as has been observed in some mutations, does heal their body at five times the rate of a normal human. There are, of course, limits to their healing as it is not magic and any lethal hits do still have the ability to kill them.
  
  This also means that they have an increased metabolism and are able to process nearly all of caloric energy consumed; this is not only to meet the energy demands of their ability, it is the reason for their accelerated healing factor. (When not properly nourished, their powers are significantly weaker
  
  Additionally, Mars' body is highly durable in a number of different ways. It does not, for example, produce lactic acid––greatly increasing their stamina and allowing them to run distances without feeling taxed in any way. Their ligaments, joints, bone structure in general are all fortified so as to allow their body to take on the physical strain of running at high speeds. That said, their body is also capable of withstanding G-Force pressure far greater than would be physically possible.
  
  Lastly, their speed does extend to their mental processes as they are quickly able to take in, organize, and process new information. This also allows them to still perceiving their surroundings while running at top speed; it has also given them the ability to read books within minutes and pick up new talents on a whim; and it has also contributed to their lightning-fast reflexes.
