Taylisse Grey • 24 • Rogue • Hella Gay

A rogue who comes from a small fishing island in the South. Hailed as a beauty she is notorious for beating men in fights and stealing women's hearts.

Taylisse jumped off her horse once she reached the stables. Flipping a silver coin to the person who walked up from inside, she nodded at him and walked off. She didn't plan to stay in this little shit of a town for too long. She just wanted to recharge before she headed out for her next job. She took jobs sometimes, mostly from those down on their luck. She was a very skilled stealer and she always kept 50% of the profits.

She looked around for a bar or tavern. Any place she might get herself a drink. She located one called Five Fires. Lame name but as long as the drinks were good she didn't care. She entered, sneering at one of the guys who flashed her a smile when she went in. She sat herself at the bar and ordered an ale, waiting to see if anything exciting might happen.

Another guy approached her, smiling down. She rolled her eyes waiting for the inevitable come on.

"What's a pretty girl like you doing here?"

"Looking for an equally pretty girl," Taylisse said with her own toothy grin. The guy seemed offended she'd be looking for girls as well.

"Now, now. Don't need to be so hostile. I was just saying hello."

"And now you are going to say goodbye."

He reached for her and Taylisse flashed one of daggers. "Not a good move unless you want to loose some fingers."

He muttered something and left. Taylisse, smirking, went back to her drinking.

Nico • 17 • Mage • AroGay

A young boy who use to be a tailor-in-training. Once he started cross-dressing with customers' orders he was fired and chased off. Now he wanders whilst learning magic. Still a cross-dresser.

Nico hummed softly to himself as he headed down the road. He had been in this small, quaint village for a month now and he liked it well enough. No one here knew he was a boy and he didn't mind. Instead of nasty comments he got complimented. He was pretty and cute.

Nico stopped humming when he found himself outside the Five Fires. He hadn't been inside and he mostly kept away from places with heavy drinking. Nico was weary of drunken people, especially men. But he did like their brandy. He wasn't old enough to drink but it didn't take much to convince people to let him try some. It was nice to be fawned over.

He debated whether to go inside and decided why not. Hopefully it wouldn't be too crowded. He entered in time to see a young woman threaten one of the more jerky guys here. He silently cheered for her, taking a seat at the end. Yes he hoped tonight would be peaceful.

Lucian "Luc" Golighty ? 26 ? Warrior ? Bisexual

Born under some wealth, Luc trained to be a knight since he was a small child. Now working as a mercenary instead he still follows a honor code.

Luc drew his sword when he heard the sounds of horses approached. He was always on guard for bandits, especially on the roads to the smaller towns and villages. Easy prey were often found there for thieves and murderers. Luc ran into trouble sometimes but his shoulder guard - announcing his status as a Red Birch merc - kept some away.

He watched as what looked like mercenaries passed by but he couldn't be sure if they were free-ranged or aligned. Luc preferred to be aligned even if it came with rules. It was safer and came with better pay.

Deciding to forget the mercs he headed into the town. He had a job of his own. Hunting down some small brat. Ran off with some guy's fortune. Said he dressed like a woman to fool people. Luc held back his comments and accepted the job. It would be easy enough. He noticed several people heading towards a tavern and he joined them. Good place to start. He watched the redheaded girl threaten one of the mercs he saw pass by and took a seat next to her.

"I'll have what she's having."

Beatrix Rodgers ? 17 ? Mage ? Lesbian

A merchant's daughter she was married off at an early age to a much older man. Having no interest in him - or any man - she ran off.

Beatrix clutched her necklace tightly as she dismounted. She barely heard the words of the man who came to receive her and probably handed him more than his actual price. If so it was no worries for the young lady. All the money she had was Baron Henry's. She'd gladly spend it on frivolous things.

She had been in a daze since she ran off a week ago. Her mind was focused on running and staying hidden, but it also felt like this wasn't real. Nothing seemed real since her father announced her engagement a year ago. She was married sooner than thought. Baron Henry wasn't a cruel man but he was pushing fifties and was overbearing at times. Beatrix fought very hard against his advantages and he didn't push too much but she dreaded the day he'd stop caring what she wanted.

It was hard knowing the way she felt. Favoring ladies was shameful, especially for one of her status. But Beatrix could not stop feeling that way. Men were just not the partners she desired.

Walking aimlessly she found a tavern. Hungry she entered trying to keep to the back. She felt eyes on her and worried she would be found out.

Taylisse

The rogue wasn't expecting anyone to take a seat next to her. After all she had just threatened some guy. Still it wasn't too big of a stretch. Taylisse was alluring and she knew this. She just wished that the person had been a girl instead. But sadly it was some guy. A rough type if his appearance and expression was anything to judge from. He also had a sword strapped to his back and oh-

"Thought mercs drank heavier shit. If you're trying to gain my favor it best be for some advice or information. You're not my type." She took a long swig, looking over the mercenary. What brought him here? A small town like this didn't garter much attention from, well, most people. As she waited she noticed a woman enter the tavern. She watched her for a moment and then saw the gang of guys from earlier doing the same. Was there going to be some trouble?

Taylisse moved one of her hands closer to one of the hidden knives on her person just in case. Hopefully this merc didn't notice or see her watching the girl.

Nico

Nico approached the bar. He was feeling thirsty and he was sure with enough charm and coin he could get something. Water-downed mead would be fine. He preferred sweet drinks. From the look on most patrons faces they were thirsty too but not all for bevagages.

Nico didn't pay them any mind. He tried hard not to cause trouble. His choice of cross-dressing and then deceiving people caused him enough trouble when found out. No need to invite it.

As he convinced one of the bartenders for a drink he noticed a girl enter. She looked nervous and rich. What was some rich girl doing here unattended? Nico was curious enough to order another mead for her. He was interested in her in the way some of the guys here looked, but he was drawn to pretty people in distress. It was a weakness.

He walked over to her, half pulling her down to sit and placed one in front of her. "Might help you relax," he explained wondering if she'd flee.

Luc looked over the woman next to him. She was pretty confident which he admired. He wondered if her words meant she didn't date mercenaries or something else. He thanked the bartender and took a long drink of the ale. He smiled at the woman.

"Not all mercs are part of a hive mind. Besides I'm on a job. Need a clear mind." Or clear enough. He didn't really think this job required much effort. After all the description pegged the brat mid-teens. He could be older but Luc doubted it himself. He scanned the bar again, noticing that his new friend seemed a bit on edge. He watched a group of mercs move further into the bar heading towards a young woman.

"I am looking for information. Have you seen a small, blonde boy. Skinny but rather pretty. Looks maybe fifteen, sixteen?" He noticed that the girl was with some blonde girl. She sort of fitted the description and Luc wondered if maybe the he he was looking for was a she instead.

_____

Beatrix was hoping no one was going to notice her, but it seemed she was running out of luck. At least the person who came over was a young woman. She also offered her a drink. Beatrix had only had a little wine before, hearing horror stories of what alcohol can do. The girl next to her also looked too young to drink.

"Thank you but I am not thirsty." She was though and as tempting at it was, Beatrix was still afraid. That was when she noticed Klein. Klein was a mercenary friend of her husband's. Had he sent mercenaries after her? Beatrix could only assume she had hurt his pride by running off. There was no love in their marriage. He was just a greedy man. Beatrix took the drink and sipped it, trying not to look obvious.

"Do you live here?" Maybe she could hide in her house until they left.

Taylisse

Taylisse tapped her glass absentmindedly with her finger as she listened to the merc. So he was here for some information. How pleasant. Now she didn't have to threaten someone again. Only because she was certain she'd get kicked out for causing too much trouble. She noticed the girl was now drinking. The other girl near to her seemed a bit...off. Taylisse pointed in their direction.

"She fits the description 'cept it's a girl over there. Maybe your "job" has a twin. Why are you hunting some young girl anyways? Did she kill someone?" Taylisse wasn't too interested nor did she think that he was going to confide his reason, but it didn't hurt to ask. She did get tense though as it seemed the mercenaries were making their way even closer.

Was the rich, pretty girl a runaway? Maybe she was a killer too.
"Besides why ask me and not someone else?"

Nico

Nico was not expecting that. Not that he hadn't had offers before, but they were mostly asking if they could take him home. Besides she didn't seem interested in that way. Something was wrong here and he had a sinking feeling his peaceful night was going out the window.

"Sorry I am just making my way through. But if you need a place to stay tonight I could help you find one." Why not. She was pretty and also seemed to be wealthy. Someone would put her up. Although he had no idea if anyone was a creep. Nico didn't want her to end up in trouble. If she wasn't already. "Or we can leave and find a better place. I am all yours tonight. Only because you're so pretty."

Luc was going to say that she was a stranger and he wasn't going to reveal his job to her when there was a cry. He turned, nearly leaping off the stool to see Klein holding onto one of the girl's arm tightly. It was the richer looking one. Beatrix struggled against the bigger man, but it was futile. She was being dragged outside. Her eyes flashed to Nico and she was unhappy she didn't even get a chance to reply.

Luc was out the door right behind the merc gang and their new captive. Klein saw him and stopped.

"Red Birch should keep their nose out of this one. She's our job."

Luc drew his sword, not sure exactly why he was willing to fight. Maybe it was the terrified look on the girl's face. She looked between the two mercs, starting to cry. So this was her last stop before returning? At least she got farther than she did before. She closed her eyes waiting to be dragged all the way back to Henry's home.

"Can't do that Klein. An innocent girl like that? I wouldn't leave her with you thugs even if your job was from the King himself." He moved just in time to avoid a swing at him. Six against one. Not too bad.

Taylisse

Taylisse was waiting for the biting comment but it never came. Or it would have if only they didn't get interrupted. Taylisse watched as one of the girls got dragged off by a bunch of mercenaries. The merc beside was off as well and she wondered if he was in league with them. Wouldn't have mattered anyways. She flashed the bartender a smile and winked.

Taylisse saw that they had not gotten far. It seemed her merc buddy was on the girl's side. Taylisse moved silently up to one of the mercs and laid her blade across his throat.

"Looks like the odds have just gotten better." Then she slit his throat.

Nico

Nico froze for a moment when the rich looking girl was taken. 'How rude,' was his first thought but he could see her struggling against the men. What did they want with her? She had been looking for a place to stay. He guessed her plan to hide was not shattered. He waited wondering how long the outside conflict might take. Others inside moved uneasily and no one except two people from the bar followed them out.

Nico knew he shouldn't get involved. She had people going to help her. Or he assumed that was what they were doing. She meant nothing to him. Yet he couldn't get the terrified look on her face off of his mind. Sighing deeply, Nico stood and made his way outside. as the battle started he locked eyes with the girl and gestured her to come towards him if she could.

Luc was surprised by Taylisse. He hadn't expected anyone to follow them outside, let alone join in the fight. Luc was doing this because he couldn't see anyone good in what Klein or his men were doing. The poor girl looked so afraid and Luc was the type of person to help others. Maybe it was foolish. But the redheaded girl didn't seem like she was the same type of person. Was she doing this to get a reward or maybe she was just violent and looking for a fight.

As he side-stepped an attack he decided that it didn't matter. She was helping and also long as one of those daggers didn't enter his back it did not matter. He noticed another person come out and start gesturing to the kidnapped girl. She looked at him terrified. Klein had taken her by the upper arm. She tried to struggle out of his grip but it was no use.

"You will return to your husband. I'm sure he'll teach you to behave like a proper lady."

Beatrix had nothing to say to that. She was afraid of Klein and afraid of Henry. She looked pleading to the three trying to help her. They were her only salvation.

Taylisse

The rogue kicked at one of the mercenaries seeing that only three remained left. She watched the guy stumble back surprised at the blow and she threw one of her knives into the forehead. Taylisse wasn't sure if the other guy was killing but it didn't matter. The guy drop and she focused on the remaining enemies. A few of the downed ones stirred and if they wanted to avoid another fight with them then this had to end soon. She stopped the girl struggling and looking sad. Taylisse hated sad looking girls. She threw a knife at the man holding her hitting his arm.

Taylisse ducked just in time from an attack from behind. "You f***ing b******ds. You'll pay for trying to take that girl." She kicked one of the ones rising in the teeth before turning on the one trying to attack her.

Nico

Nico noticed that the girl wasn't going to get free on her own. He called up a spell to knock out the other guy. Gathering winds around himself and then into his palm he let out a blast in Klein's direction, focusing so not to hit the girl.

"Once he's down run," he called out hoping she'd hear and understand.
