RPN site etiquette question

To join a roleplay, do you just dive right in with an introduction? Or is there another place where you ask to join, and then start RPing?

When you're joining a roleplay, you usually go to the Character Sign-Up thread and create a character there. The GM of the roleplay will then accept your character and you can start roleplaying in the IC thread!

If the RP has already started, you can always make sure that they're accepting by asking in the OOC thread or asking the GM in a PM. That way you don't spend time making a character when the RP is already closed.

Hope this helps!

RPs come with four tabs automatically. An overview to describe it, RP tab, OOC tab for out of character chat, and a character sign up tab.

Typically it's nice to post in the ooc that you intend to join to ensure it's still upon and then move to the character sign-up tab. STs commonly have a form that you fill out and post in that tab for your character. Once you're accepted and they tell you you're good to go then you're good to start RPing!

EDIT: Ninja'd by Pai!!!

The vast majority of RP's on RpN have a signup thread. It is here where you post your character's information, and await the GM's approval. Without a GM's approval, posting in an RP is a report-worthy offence. Should be easy enough to get a GM's approval,if you read the info through once or twice.
