This roleplay takes place in the realm of the original Robin Hood, with the outlaws having been in the Sherwood forest for a few years now, you may play as an outlaw, an innocent civilian, a member of the church or one of the sheriffs men. It will form it's own story, just in the setting of it. For those that aren't familiar with the basic plot, or need a reminder it is as follow,
In the late twelfth century, King Richard the Lionhearted of England is fighting in the Holy Crusades, leaving the Regency of the Kingdom to his brother, Prince John. While his brother is away John uses his position to tax the commoners extreme, so that he and his friends can become richer. The commoners turn to an outlawed noble (Who was outlawed for aiding Robin Hood, only afterwards was it revealed his is Robin Hood), Sir Robin of Locksley , who, often recklessly, fights on their behalf against the Prince's authority in an effort to restore what is right for the commoners until Richard's return. As such, Robin is viewed as an outlaw by Prince John. Robin's refuge is Sherwood Forest, where he recruits men to fight for what he believes is right. Generally matching Robin's happy-go-lucky temperament, that band of merry men includes Will Scarlet, John Little (renamed Little John because of his hulking physical size), and Friar Tuck. Lady Marian Fitzswalter, is a Norman noble. It isn't until Marian meets Robin and sees first hand what he is doing that she changes her allegiances. Prince John and the Sheriff hope to use what they see as the growing attraction (Not knowing that Friar Tuck married them already) between Robin and Marian to capture Robin and sentence him to death. Robin and his group work against Prince John and the Sheriff until King Richard's return, when they hope all will be right with England. The church also is very divided, with a lot of the Abotts and Bishops using their rank to secure wealth and land for themselves, in exchange for their loyalty to Prince John. Most of the story takes place in Nottingham and Sherwood Forest, where the Sheriff is based out of. Robins estates, Locksley is an important place as well.
