The kingdom of Arlan is known for training brave warriors who are cunning with what they do. They are also known for their large range of witch hunters and magic killers even dedicating troops to it known as the "Inquisition". Theyy also are known for the smartest thinkers in terms of war and are typically well equipped and supplied. The populous tends to be very loyal and will do anything for the royal family however are uneasy and do not always trust outsiders. Most of the populous do own weapons be it whether unconventional or . The climate is typically cool and breezy. The skies are typically full of clouds. The land contains forests full of wildlife as well as areas of plains for farming.
Who are you?
Personality: Robert is a cunning and brave warrior who dedicates himself to his family and to the people.
History:
Being brought up as a royal, he has always been taught magic was evil. Magic was destructive. Magic was no good for anyone. He was also brought up to lead and fight. Robert didn't care much for politics but rather helping the people directly. He has helped people find homes and jobs and proved to be an able warrior and leader but not a politician. He isn't always the most profound leader but he has been known to be logical and trustworthy. He does not trust easily and will usually pull the sword out before asking questions.
As a boy, Robert would typically practice with some knight with wooden practice swords or train with the archers using bows. He loved horse riding as a boy but despised swimming. He was also a jittery boy and could not sit still. His parents and caretakers oft complained about how uncontrollable he was in terms of control. He ran in hallways, brought weapons to the table and would be inattentive in lessons.
Well that wasn't entirely true. Robert payed attention to any war related lesson, exploring tactics and formations. He also prided himself in history as well as lessons on the ruling kingdoms of the lands of which he lived.
Robert was also an only child and liked it that way. It meant less competition in games that he was sure to win. It meant he could have things to himself and though he would share, he would benefit. Robert would also admire peasants. He loved helping them farm or hunt, especially hunt. He loved running in the wild, stabbing boars or shooting rabbits with his bow. Hunting was probably one of the reasons why he got so good at archery.
Robert was also a very spoiled boy. He was given the high life and given whatever he desired. He could eat as much as he wanted, do whatever he wanted and say whatever he wanted within his parent's guidelines. He generally could care less about what people think of him. They were just peasants at the time and their opinion didn't matter to him.
Now onto the demon uprising.
When the first demons appeared the Arabian legions were sent forth to stop them. It was useless. The countryside was up in flames as the demons pushed for the capital. The defences were set forth but the numbers hear ily underestimated. They were demons, they can't possibly attack in such large numbers!
As the demons pushed forth, against his father's will, Robert was out hunting with soldiers. They were carrying the usual water skin and dead animals. When the first fires appeared on the outer wall it was too late. Steel on steel could be heard as peasants fled the city, many dieing by the sword or dieing in combat defending their families. He could see the palace burn inside as it was trampled by demons storming in. He was sure the men fought bravely but their was no way they could hold against such numbers. No amount of strategy could prevail. He had to run.
Habits: He is generally paranoid, he chews on his lips a lot and when stressed, he cleans and polishes the heck out of his sword absentmindedly.
Fears: Magic, loneliness, death and inability.
Hobbies: He enjoys hunting as a pastime as well as enjoys dueling/sword fighting
