Weapon: Determined in the same roll as his battle capability, ranging from nothing at all to a weapon powered by magic. 8's power is tied to this weapon, which itself has random properties. In this case, the weapons produced follow the theme "Starter's Wooden Dice."


Weapon Damage:


(7) 1. Unarmed Might - No weapon rolled grants a form empowered naturally.


(8) 2. Rogue's Grace - Unusual weapon relies on precise striking to gain a swift upper hand.


(9) 3. Warrior's Force - An unwieldy, large weapon turns aside the greatest creature with ease.


(10) 4. Alchemist's Gambit - Mixtures of unusual variety provide solutions where other plans fail.


(11) 5. Summoner's Aid - Weapons in the form of allies grant power beyond mortal reach.


(12) 6. Magician's Mystery - A weapon armed by magic allows the full use of 8's ability.


Armor: Cloth, the "Starter's Coat." His armor is one of the only things not randomly determined.


The gambler class relies on several abilities rolled randomly, typically spells and abilities that can be turned on the user's allies at random. Some can spend gold to improve odds or focus on critical hits and other random factors. 8s, on the other hand, has decided to forgo all stat advancement and all investment in any class abilities besides their basic "Lucky Shift." Lucky Shift allows the Gambler to gain minor bonus stats and abilities based on the form randomly chosen on the ability's use, but it disables all other skills until it ends with the battle. Instead of the situational boost, 8's ability has been focused on to the point of winning and losing battles based on the strength of the form gained.


[[At start of battle, I'll roll one four-sided dice for agility, three eight-sided dice for stats, and one six-sided dice for his weapon and powers for the battle. Any rolls that follow after will go by regular rules.


Example:


I rolled a (2)(3, 8, 1)(6) on stats, so it would become 30 Agility, 5 Strength, 10 Defense, 3 Speed, with the Magician's Mystery weapons and abilities. I'd probably chose to say that it grants me a wooden staff and nature magic, but that roots me down in place for all of its defensive boosts.]]

@SubstituteHero i like the idea and its pretty good concept. But it seems a little too powerful for the starter class. i dont completely understand but for the weapon since is a starter should just be like 3-sided wood die. Everything else is pretty good i guess.
 
@Ninja God I've adjusted the numbers so that it's more likely that I'll be weak than I'll be strong. On an eight-sided dice, the average roll will be a 4.5, leading to 6-7 for each stat on a good roll, though there is a tendency towards averaging against high rolls that is likely to create at least one disadvantage even in a good case and a loss against weak monsters in a bad case. Regardless of this, assuming that I've rolled average on each stat I'll still be weaker than your character.


Not to mention, the six-sided dice is to allow for a range of power and flavor that takes my weapon strength from below the fighter with no other skills to on par with a character focused on combat, though a single 12-power weapon used in a limited fashion occasionally would still not deal with two 10-power weapons easily.


That said, I enjoy the concept of a gambler because I'm a huge dork when it comes to testing and running tabletop games. I like to have chance and variety back everything up, so I will do my best to keep things at a good balance that can be physically determined.

Lesser bloody ballet: The dancer begins a short dance during which they cannot attack but at the end of the I minute long dance they will deal double damage for 10 seconds.
