DESCRIPTION:
Jasper is one of those guys who appears terminally ill or constantly sick, but instead it's just the way he was born. Standing at 5'9 and having very little muscle on his rather skinny frame, many would describe his build as something a teenage girl would kill to have. The boniness of his body extends to his lanky fingers, that of which he's decorated with a layer of black nail-polish. Topping it all off with a boyish complexion and pale white skin that would put Casper to shame, it's no wonder why people like to call him a real life vampire.
His eyes are a shining, almost hypnotic shade of amber that seem to always have a lazy look to them, and combined with the mess of short blond hair that is in a constant state of bedhead, one can assume it's more than just a 'look'. Jasper's face has a naturally clear visage with little to no blemishes or marks adorning his face. That is, except for the dark and heavy bags that seem to permanently reside under his constantly sleep-deprived eyes. Multiple piercings also hold the pleasure of ruining an otherwise perfect visage, with many on both of his ears and a single silver piercing on the left side of his lip.
Of course, for anyone, what usually catches someones attention is what a person wears. Luckily, Jasper makes it pretty easy for a person to judge him based on his attire. Dark colors all around combined with thigh-high black boots, many would describe his look as 'punk'. Multiple chains attached to a collar hang around his neck including a prominent cross that is slightly longer than the rest, and similar steel finds itself wrapped around his wrists accompanied by wristbands with small grooves. Some people find this look entrancing, some people hate it. However, in the end Jasper likes it and that's all that really matters.

PERSONALITY:
Jasper is an extremely calm and chill person at all times with seemingly no care to what other people think. Doing whatever he wants whenever he wants, many people may call him a rebel, and in part that's true. Being held down and told what to do isn't in the cards for the young man, as he prefers the freedom and joy life naturally provides. This leads to a lot of what he does being extremely reckless and stupid, with greater risk often yielding a much greater thrill for him. Partying till the early hours of the morning, snowboarding down the steepest of slopes, or even jumping across rooftops on his skateboard; there are very few limits or laws that'll prevent Jasper from putting his life on the line at least once. However, none of what he does is done just for the sake of breaking rules, but instead done just because he wants to. Don't get the wrong idea; if he sees a police car approaching when he's doing something he shouldn't he's going to book it, but if he's caught there won't be much arguing on his part.
Of course, this risk-taking attitude doesn't necessarily mean Jasper will drag others down with him. On the contrary, he'll often put himself at the greatest risk if it means his friends are safe. To him, loyalty and respect are extremely important. If someone doesn't want to follow him in his dangerous escapades he'll nonchalantly wave it off and wish them a good time. However, if one doesn't speak up then it's just as much their fault as his, as he's often one to act on instinct first before thinking things through and can often forget how other people may feel. Jasper TRIES to be as considerate as possible, but sometimes he can be quite forgetful, so don't be too mad if you have to tell him to stop chewing with his mouth open every day of the week.
Next, and this shouldn't come off as a surprise, Jasper isn't a huge fan of the police. Actually, to be more accurate, he isn't a fan of how confined and regulated his so called freedom is and how actual crimes aren't dealt with using the proper seriousness it should. If you asked him, Jasper would tell you that real criminals who do actual crimes like murder or theft should be given the death penalty, while simply taking a leak on the sidewalk should be ignored. That's not even counting the amount of corruption he sees in the system, which he'll constantly point out while deliberately ignoring the exceptions.
Still, though he values respect greatly, he also believes one has to earn it first. Jasper isn't going to assist some random person on the street because for all he knows they could be a complete jackass. And, if one thing's for sure, if someone wants to act like a tool he'll be just as nasty right back. Of course, he isn't exactly perfect either. At times Jasper can be a bit of a douche without him being able to control it. When dealing with something he's extremely passionate about he can quite stubborn and extremely defensive, even pushing his friends to the side if need be. This can also be said for his band, as it's something he's putting his heart and soul into making, and any criticism of it comes off as a personal attack. Sometimes he'll even tell lies about the most stupid of things just to make it seem like he's a better person than he actually is. It's not that he thinks he can never be wrong, but that he doesn't like his ideas or hard work to be seen as a waste of time or useless. It's his drive to finally do something right that prevents him from ever admitting he's wrong. He's not exactly the brightest person, and when people find out he dropped out of high school they often just chock him up as another failure. Jasper thinks people put too much emphasis on book smarts is determined to prove he can do just as much as anyone else.
HISTORY:
With parents consisting of a police officer mother and a lawyer father, expectations were extremely high for their two children. They wanted nothing but the best for them and hoped they'd become productive members of society. Luckily, one of their sons was as close to perfect as one could get. Always getting good grades, being excellent at sports, and to top it all off being an extremely likable person all around, his parents couldn't be happier. Whenever he needed help they were there for him, making sure he had everything he need in order to achieve the greatness they saw for him.
This wasn't Jasper. Born two years after his brother Marlon, Jasper was never as talented as his older sibling Marlon. No matter how much he tried or practiced he could never get the hang of anything academically, and after a few years of trying to help their second son to no avail his parents seemingly gave up on him. They rarely paid attention to him, cared what he did or scolded him for any mistakes he made. Even after showing a remarkable talent for music early on, their investment in him waned. Of course, seeing the amount of attention Marlon got in contrast riled the younger brother up considerably. Why was he coddled but Jasper wasn't? He was always a goody-two shoes and never did anything wrong, and as far as he was concerned his talent in music was more than enough to impress his peers, so why not his parents?
However, though he resented his brother for stealing away his parents, like most others he couldn't help but like him. Since their parents were away often the two siblings were forced to look after each other, and unlike his parents Marlon thought nothing less of his younger brother, even being impressed by his skills on the guitar. He saw talent in his sibling and was the one who first brought up the idea of starting a band. It was a weird feeling, having someone he both hated and loved, but either way Jasper took his suggestion to heart. Due to his parents lack of interest in his talents Jasper often found it difficult to find joy in doing anything, as what was the point if nobody cared. However, since his brother seemed invested in him Jasper would do his best not to let him down.
By the end of middle school Jasper had pretty much set his mind to being in a famous band one day. Though his grades were still barely passing him. he and a few friends had made a band of their own, playing in a few school assemblies and even getting a few deals to play outside of school. Despite being quote popular among his peers, his mother and father still seemed disinterested in him. Even though for the most part things were looking up Jasper still craved the attention his brother had received all his life, yet he had no idea how to attain it. That is, until a few months before high school when he was involved in a car accident with a drunk driver that nearly ended his life. Luckily he'd made a full recovery shockingly quick, but that was when he realized he was blowing his life away by doing what he currently did. Why was he always playing it safe of doing so got him nowhere? He needed to start enjoying life and stop caring what others thought or else everything would end with a whimper.
And that's exactly what happened. Just in time for high school Jasper had completely reinvented himself, becoming more reckless and outspoken than he once was. He definitely enjoyed things a lot more than he used to, but he also began to pull the scorn of his parents due to the numerous times they'd get called for his constant rule breaking. This wasn't the kind of attention he wanted, and despite trying not to care he couldn't help but be a bit disappointed in himself. Still, he kept at his band with the hopes that he'd hit it big and eventually prove them wrong.
While his music career showed great promise with the ever-growing popularity of his band locally, this couldn't help Jasper pass high school. It was about when he failed the eleventh grade that the youngest sibling decided that he didn't need school, instead opting to drop out. Surprisingly his parents weren't too disappointed, as they expected him to fail anyways, but were more than livid when he spent the next six months doing nothing but practice with his bed and leech off of them. It was about here when Jasper's luck turned upside-down. First his parents kicked him out of the house. Then all of his friends and band mates abandoned him to pursue college or university elsewhere. Abandoned and alone, he was desperate and determined not to give up. With the money he had saved up from various jobs and his band, Jasper decided he'd move somewhere else, build up a new band, and prove he was worth a damn to pay attention to.
Of course, he'd never actually gotten a license, so he phoned up his brother Marlon and explained the situation. Marlon was more than happy to assist his younger brother and was actually quite impressed at the resolve he showed. However, on the trip to his new abode, disaster struck. A car crash, much worse than the last one, severely injured him and caused permanent spinal injury to Marlon. However, that wasn't the worst part. What really got to Jasper was the culprit of the accident; the same person who'd caused the accident years ago. According to the doctors he'd be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, and as far as Jasper was concerned the government had ruined his brothers life due to their shitty handling of criminals. However, the only thing he could do about it was continue on with his life. So, as soon a she was physically able to Jasper got a cab ride to New York City where he started his new life. So far things haven't been too bad for him. He's managed to build up a new band, gotten a part time job, and even manged to get a nice apartment that he USUALLY manages to pay for in time.
NOTES:
- He has a black cat named Oliver.
- Due to a horrible break up that may or may not be due to Jasper cheating on his girlfirend, his band has been out of a vocalist for a bit over 4 months. He's currently taken the role, and though he isn't horrible he definitely isn't made for the job so they've been looking to replace.
- Also...Dago is a person, that is present in this plane of existence, I guess? Does that count?
