Description:
As a shifter, Rina has several gravity powers available at her disposal. Her foremost ability is to shift gravity in any speed or direction to float and fall accordingly. Other basic abilities include flying, lifting and throwing objects, and being able to walk on any vertical surface. She performs physical attacks which she uses in conjunction with her gravity manipulation including a gravity kick and gravity slide. She can shift gravity to make the environment very “heavy” or “light”, cause objects to “fall” toward another object instead of the earth (“nexus inducing”). She can shift matter to repel and attract matter and energy regardless of its mass or move objects in a manner similar to telekinesis. As a defensive measure she can manipulate incoming forces to the ground or up into the air, bending away from her.
Her iconic moves are:
- Gravity Typhoon: Launch rocks that track enemies
- Gravity Kicks, ergo, strengthen kicks by altering her own gravitational force.
- Gravity shift: shifts her own gravity making it easy to walk up walls and other objects.
- Concussion Beams: Release beams of solidified gravity. Hower this drains her physically if used more than twice.
Biography:
Almost prophesied to be a powerful esper Rina was considered a prodigy at birth. Growing up she honed her powers and used them for her own personal amusement. When she became old enough she was put into the 18th District Kirigaoka Girls' Academy. This academy being known for collecting rare students, was a perfect fit for her. She spent her time on combat skills earning her mastery in Kickboxing and Savate. After years of study and achievements, Rina got bored with school. Everything was easier for her, too easy. She is now in Kirigaoka's high school although she doesn't really attend class anymore. She spends most of her time floating from district to district trying to find interesting more like non boring) things to do.
Writing Sample:
Looking up at the night sky Rina smiled warmly. Closing her eyes she lifted her hands up letting the breeze flow around her. "Isn't just a lovely evening?" She turned around and looked at the tall stalky boy who had been her best friend for as long as she could remember. He shuffled around looking uneasy "Rina are you sure this is safe? I mean should you be doing this in public?" Rina smiled at him, her tone somewhat callous"Oh come on, I didn't go across district 7 for fun. Why should we hide it? We should have some fun." She twirled around her feet at the edge of the skyscraper. She stopped and looked at him, her hand on her hip she continues "anyway it's not like it's dangerous or anything." Rina slid one foot off the building's edge. Smiling as the buildings of District 15 glittered behind her as the lights reflected the stars above.
She slid her other foot back. "But Rina I...." he stopped as Rina fell off the building.Rushing to the edge he looked down to see Rina staring right back at him. He let out a sigh of relief as Rina laughed at him. "You were really worried? Aww I'm touched." She floated up toward him, her feet sliding off the building and into the air, and kissed his cheek. Looking into his eyes she smiled. "Now this time is for real" gravity returned as she plummeted to the ground. Falling Rina looked at the busy district square that she was rapidly approaching. About 8 feet from the ground, she pushed herself away from the building and began to float over the square. She twirled around as the gravity around her disappeared. She was like a dandelion seed dancing in the night sky. She continued to dance for a few minutes drifting around the square almost, but not quite, touching the people below her. She floated over onto the another building and landed on the wall. Giving a slight curtsy she turned around and walked up the side of the building to the roof. As she reached the roof her childhood friend teleported next to her. "See it wasn't as bad as you thought." She looked up at him and smiled. He gazed down back at her with a sly smile "yeah although you probably should have kept a hold of these." He raised a pair of shorts in his hand. Rina's faced turned bright red as she realized that they were her's, "you jerk! When did you take them!! I'm gonna kill you!!" He laughed warmly as he teleported around, avoiding her lunges "what? You said to have fun." Exasperated she glared at her best friend "Not like this you big jerkface!"
