Rin is but a child in the years of his species. Due to this is he acts like one most of the time. He is sly, curious, and always ready to play. There are some cases where his personality changes though. In a dangerous situation, however, he was trained by his parents to be fierce and couragous, but not stupidly so.
Backstory:
Rin has also followed in the footsteps of a Raiju since he was born. Even though he just wanted to play with his friends and play tag in the forests of post-classical Japan, the people feared these "troublesome" creatures. Rin eventually left the town he lived all of his life and traveled with storms across the country in solitude. Until now, that is.
