Three years after the events of KH's Riku returns finding out that Kairi went home. He returned to confess his love to her only to find out that she still loves Sora. He takes things into his hands and confronted her.
Riku sailed to a fimiliar island. A smile came across his face when he reached the beach. He tied his boat up and looked around. "Kairi is hear, I must find her." He ran to her house and didn't find her there. He wrote a note saying, 'Hey Kai, meet me at the beach. You know who.' and left it on her desk and went to the beach and sat down and started to watch the sun.
