Dakota Eimear

Dakota continued to smile nervously, watching the blonde boy before her, and glancing to the others ever so shortly. Soon the boy responded.

"Yes Mam, Kalin Mickelson is indeed my name, but you have nothing to be nervous about. I'm not anyone of note. Maybe someday... but not anytime soon. I'm a weapon, a ni..."

She listened to what he had to say, that is until Sarah also wandered over, and she shifted her gaze again, tuning out the rest of the long winded Kalin's words. She blinked when Lauren rushed up, quickly standing tip-toe next to her. A warm breath brushed her ear, accompanied by Lauren's voice, whimpering and seemingly struggling to say something. Dakota stayed silent, letting the other girl compose herself slightly as she dropped back down and hide herself behind her. Once slightly composed, Lauren raised herself to Dakota's ear again, seemingly to whisper again.

"Will you come to the restroom with me. I.. I wet m..m.myself."

Dakota's eyes widened in recognition for a second, before she glanced tot he now ashamed Lauren. Her gaze snapped to the others, not even caring about their conversation.
"Here." She stated, surprisingly calm as she grabbed gently onto one of Lauren's hands. "S-Sarah, we'll catch u-up with y-you." She stammered out t the other twin, before moving past the boys and another rather sickly looking girl, then out into the right wing. She continued to walk at a moderately slow pace, for her friend to keep up, guiding her to the bathroom. She slipped inside, finally releasing Lauren there. Settling near the row of sinks, she nodded. They'd come this far, but from that, she actually wasn't sure what else she needed to do, most likely shown by her sudden loss of confidence and composure. "A-are you..." She started to ask, but faded out, not really sure what to ask, or do for that matter.

Sarah Sparks & Lauren Sparks

Having used one hand to hold the back of her skirt down, and the other Dakota had, Lauren tried to walk as normal as possible, but her waddle was very evident. She leaked a little here and there trying to hold it in as best she could. Tears streamed down either side of her face and she sniffled a few times. Normally Lauren was strong but for certain things she had no tolerance; this was one. Head slamming a desk was embarassing, but this... This was just bad. Luckily for her, it only went down her legs a litte instead of dripping a trail all the way to the restroom.

Finally the two of them made it to the bathroom, Lauren let go and sprint past Dakota into a stall. She didn't even take the time to shut the door. Her panties dropped, and the coldness of the seat soaked into her rear.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Sarah just kind of watched bewildered. Everyone up and left her except for this snot nosed girl who tried to claim she was getting better. Better? Sarah was gonna get sick off of this girl. Though really when she thought about it, that didn't really bother her.

She relaxed for a few moments. Resting her head on her fist as she started up at the empty stage. Sarah thought about their lives and how exciting their first day had been so far. Even a smile couldn't escape at that point. Everything was going great and it was hard to believe that anything could go wrong. Though just thinking that meant that something would. Giggling lightly, she would just deal with it when the time came.

Standing up she went down and grabbed both her and Lauren's stuff as well as Dakota's. As she made her way back her hand raised waving at the girl still in the auditorium. "
Hey. Sorry about all this. I have to go save my sister, but if you want, after you finish your photo maybe you can meet us out at the field. That's where everyone went." As Sarah continued by her she smiled genuinely and giggled before exiting through the doors.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Letting out a large sigh, the toilet flushed and Lauren came out of the stall with her panties in her hand. Their cute white and lavender strips tainted a slight extra color because of her accident. Her cheeks were flushed and irritated from crying. Tears still formed lightly in her eyes, but the crying overall of stopped. Setting them down in the sink, she knelt down to unlace her shoes before standing back up. Taking one foot and using it as a prop, she removed one shoe, then reversed and did the other. Lifting a leg kind of behind her she reached and took her tainted sock off.

Lauren probably didn't realize it, but her goods might have been visible to Dakota. Not that it mattered, they were both girls afterall. She lifted her other leg and removed that sock as well. Placing them both into the sink and turning the nob, she made it run as hot as she could stand. Shifting her gaze to Dakota and back, she sniffled a few more times.

Lauren started to run her clothing under the sink, and tried to say a few words, "
K..kk..k...kot..a" She whimpered, but easily audible. Her eyes shifted between Kota in the mirror and the sink, "Th..th..an..k .kyou."

Quietly, Sarah had crept into the restroom. Holding out in front of her a clean pair of panties; light blue in color with little white ribbons on either side. When the door shut and made a sound, Lauren squeaked and jumped out of her skin nearly. Turning and seeing her sister, she yelled at her. "
Sa..Sarah!!"

"
Te he he!" She giggled, "So... peed yourself? Again" Sarah exclaimed rudely before giggling some more. She turned and put all their things by the door, except for the panties which were still in her hand, taunting Lauren.

"
Haven't I told you before about tickle wars? Just be more careful next time." Crouching down next to her, she lifted Laurens foot and put it through the hole. Just as she was helping the other foot, Sarah let go, looking up at Dakota, she asked, "Revenge is sweet right?"

Sarah ran her hand under and across Lauren's butt, lifting her skirt. Her bright white, baby soft bare butt clear as day, there for Dakota to take in its glory. Lauren was about to freak but it was too late. Sarah's other hand planted hard and firmly against the cheek.
SMACK! Lauren howled like a little baby, and in her struggles, lost her footing. Sarah squealed as Lauren's bare butt smashed into her face and both the girls tumbled over onto the ground. Much more than Lauren's butt was Visible to Dakota as well as a bright red hand print, but both the girls just started laughing.

"
Ahahahahahahahaha..."

"
Oh hahah ahahahaha..."

After a sisterly moment, Lauren stood up, and Sarah sat up, pulling Lauren's panties the rest of the way up. "
There's a zippy in bag, making sure to dry them out good before you put them in your bag, just in case."

As Lauren went to finish her stuff, Sarah walked over to Dakota and without a reason, embraced her. She squeazed her tightly like their mom use to. As she released her grip, her hands came up and gently touched the backside of her jaw line before planting a soft kiss on her lips. Longer than a parent's, yet less than a lover's.

It was something their mother always did. Something for them that meant how much they trusted a person. As she pulled away, Sarah's expression was very gentle, very grateful with a hint of sadness. Letting go, her heart started beating again, at least it seemed. For her it had stopped. Her eyes locked on Dakota's before blinking to break the connection and finally turning to leave.

Grabbing her bag she left for the Fields.

Lauren did as she was told and got everything washed, dried, shoes back on and brough over Dakota's bag as well as her own. Smiling, she hugged Dakota also, then kissed her gently on the cheek. Taking a step back. Her hands down infront of her nervously and her head tilted slightly, "
Thank you 'Kota. I really appreciate what you did. And please don't feel like it's your fault. I should of known about tickles. I just couldn't pass it up. I'm sure you're the same." Lauren smiled and cocked her her to the side slightly.

Moving next to her, she took Dakota's hand, lacing her fingers inbetween her own. Lauren leaned in and whispered to her, "
And that kiss meant she trusts you. Tehehe. Shall we go to the Training Fields? Or is there somewhere else you need to go?"

Alessandra Volkov and Jayce Hammerkin

Collaboration With:

@Arkytior

Jayce and Alessa walked out of the auditorium after having finished lunch and after having accomplished their one assigned task for the day - pictures. “So… where did you want to go now?” Jayce asked his partner, slightly hesitantly. “There are no more classes, but I’m curious as to what that teacher at lunch is going to be doing. We could head that way?” His tone implied it was a question although it seemed like more of a suggestion.

“Oh, sure!” Alessa responded, perking up at the thought of spending more time together. She enjoyed learning more about Jayce and working together. It was fun! And it helped her confidence, so that was a plus.

Jayce smiled. It was a very rare thing, for him to smile, but he always seemed to smile more when he was with Alessa. Even with her, it wasn’t entirely common, but now just happened to be one of those moments where being partners with her felt right. “Alright then. I’m excited. From the way this guy seemed in the cafeteria, we might both be able to learn something here!” He started walking down the hall, fairly briskly, but he made sure Alessa could keep up. They were both short so it wasn’t like what he was used to. Usually he had to walk fast to keep up with everyone else.

However, the fact that he turned around to glance back at his partner led to something entirely unintended. Jayce ran into Nadia Voltaren as she was making her way through the halls with a pile of papers on her arms. The impact not only sent the top few papers flying out of her arms, but it also caused Jayce to stumble back into Alessa. He turned quickly and managed to regain his footing before his hand reached out for Alessa, holding her shoulder to make sure she didn’t fall because he had run into her. “Uhh… sorry ‘bout that,” Jayce mumbled. He wasn’t quite sure who he was apologizing to although both worked.

“No problem at all, dears,” Nadia smiled as she simply let the few pages that had slipped fall to the ground. “I can’t exactly watch where I’m going myself with all these… I still don’t know what to do with all of them.”

Frowning slightly as she watched the papers fall, Alessa quickly bent down to grab them, sending Jayce a small smile in thanks. Gently picking up a fallen sheet, she looked up at the school nurse curiously. “Flyers?” she asked before taking another look at the first one she’d grabbed. “There’s going to be a concert in Death City?” she exclaimed excitedly, her eyes lighting up at the thought.

“Mhm,” Nadia nodded. “Apparently there’s some fine arts company, or maybe they were a school or something like that… anyway, they’re trying to get their name out there so they’re trying to host a whole bunch of events. And they knew the DWMA catered to a lot of youth so they thought a concert might draw some attention… I think?” Nadia shifted a bit as she tried to recall all the details. It was honestly a very last minute thing from what she had gathered which meant she didn’t even have all the details she would’ve liked to. “All I know is that I got a phone call from a woman named Melody Orcana asking if we could put up flyers in the school. Naturally, no one here really minds, but I didn’t expect this many.”

Jayce simply listened for Nadia’s little exposition before he chimed in. “Well, a concert does sound fun. Do you want to go, Alessa?”

Having finished gathering the other few flyers on the floor, Alessa stood up, handing them over to Nadia with a smile before glancing back at Jayce. “Sure!” she chirped. “I’ve never been to a concert before, so this should be fun!” she added.

“I’ve never been to one either so it’ll be a new experience for both of us,” Jayce chuckled slightly. “In the time I’ve been here, Death City hasn’t really been one to host concerts in the first place so I’m sure it’ll be new for most people.”

Nadia smiled at them. “Well, I’m glad you two are excited about it. Would you mind helping me put up some of these fliers? It’ll be nice to not have to carry around so many…”

Jayce shrugged and then he nodded. “Sure, I guess,” he stated. “The training lesson’s probably really crowded anyway,” he said that more to Alessa than to Nadia. “We can always find a professor to train with us whenever there is nothing else to do.”

Poised to say yes, the red-haired meister had to pause when she remembered that they had already agreed to go see another teacher. At Jayce’s agreement, another grin broke across her face. Helping put up flyers - while not the most exciting thing to do - brought a lot of energy to Alessa. While the idea of training with Jayce was fun as well, and it was great to know that they could still do it later!

“Sure! That definitely sounds good!” she told both the nurse and her partner. ”Where should we start then?” she asked.

“Well,” Jayce started, “we could take a small stack and start here. Then Nadia can go cover another hall?” He glanced back and forth between his partner and the school nurse, hoping his suggestion was agreeable.

Nadia nodded. “Of course!” She handed a small stack - small enough to fit in one hand - of flyers to Jayce and another similar stack to Alessa and then she pulled a roll of tape out of her pocket and handed it to Jayce. “Just… try not to plaster the place too much.”

“We’ll do our best.”

Jason Daniels

Jason had been in the bathroom for a while, simply staring at himself in the mirror with a frown. He had originally come in here to wash his face and then go get some training in, but for some reason, he had stopped. Why exactly, he didn't even know himself. But here he was. Standing there. Doing absolutely nothing productive with his time. Sighing, he finally washed his face like he had come here to do, he pulled back and stared at his hands. He really needed to do something productive. With another long sigh born from complete and utter boredom, Jason dried off his hands and face and walked out the bathroom.

As he walked down the hallway, had come across an interesting sight. A guy had ran into someone who he could have sworn was the nurse, and then him and his companion were handed what he could only assume to be papers and what looked like some tape. Blinking, he finally realized his vision was slightly blurry and groaned as he adjusted his contacts into their rightful place. By the time he was finished, the person who he had thought was the nurse had finished talking. Blinking again, this time to make sure his contacts were firmly in place, he approached the two students, whom he could now properly see and recognized as Jayce and Alessa, and the nurse who he had internally congratulated himself on knowing that it was in fact her. Putting on a friendly smile he called out to the three.

"Jayce! Alessa!Nurse Nadia! I knew it was you! Or at least... I knew it was Nurse Nadia... I thought I might have been seeing things though... Damn contacts... Anyway, what's on the papers?"

To Riven's surprise, there wasn't much fallout after her team's mission escalated and culminated in, ultimately, complete and utter failure. Granted, the lavender-eyed meister had barricaded herself inside her room, leaving only to aquire a bit of cafeteria leftovers so that Zarren would, and I quote, "finally close his (your) snout, for all that is holy." The felinesque weapon still pouted, it's elongated face constantly distorted in a childish frown. Riven had not only spoken up in an eerily authoritive way for the first time in her life, but he also realized just how screwed he could be, depending on their opponent. The prospect of him being hurt but not necessarily Riven was an unpleasent reminder that his perceived superiority wasn't untouchable.

However, you can only remain in the same room for so long, voluntarily at least, and the topic of prison-like living arrangements was all to touchy and fresh on Riven's mind, and so she strolled outside, coming across a curious flyer, honoring its name, flying - or rather floating - through the hair. As she made slow steps through the school's right wing, Zarren, who had long gotten a peak of the content, was busy playing air guitar and making weird noises, such as "Beeeeeeeeeoooooooo, diddeliddeliddroooooooowaaaaah". He then extended his tongue, closed his lips losely and pushed out air, making an, according to him, static sound, but it really just sounded flatulent.

God knows how she does it, Riven continue to ignore him, instead further crossing the school's grounds, eventually hearing a voice of a young male she didn't recognize. What she did recognize, however, were the names Jayce and Nadia. Her finely plugged eyebrows perked up, as did her whole head, the small mouth hanging open like a fascinated child's. With increasing pace, the relatively new student hurried towards the little gathering, hoping to, finally, not mess up at least the tiniest of social interactions.

"he-h..." She cleared her throat.

"I mean... Hey!"

She squeezed the words out with great effort, immediately bringing her eyes down to the flyer. "So, uh... a concert? Sounds... cool?"

Zarren had gradually faded out his airguitar synchronization, now eyeing the group. His unpleasant gaze lasted uncomfortable long on the young girl, who Riven deducted must be Alessa.

"Uh... Sorry, I'm Riven. This is-"

"I'M ZARREN, Y'ALL!"

Jayce Hammerkin and Nadia Voltaren

Nadia had been making her way away from the weapon and meister pair of Jayce and Alessa when Jason had called out to them and she didn’t stop walking even after her eyes turned to realize that it had been him who called out to him. She was walking down the hall towards him as he spoke, actually, and when she came up next to him, Nadia handed him a flyer. “There’s going to be a concert in Death City,” she informed him, effectively answering his question. “And they were just helping me put up flyers. You’re welcome to join them, but I’ve gotta head back to my office now and figure out what to do with the rest of these.” She gestured to the remaining flyers that she was still carrying.

Soon Riven and Zarren walked over and joined the small gathering that was forming as well and Nadia smiled at them. Although they were new, having access to medical files meant that she knew all of the DWMA’s students and at least a little bit about each of them. Zarren was one of the most interesting of all the students as far as Nadia was concerned and Nadia couldn’t help but smile as she saw the cat demon playing air guitar.

“Yes, Riven, there is a concert.” She nodded as she smiled. Nadia would’ve offered Riven a flyer, but it seemed the girl already had one. “It seems Zarren’s excited…” Nadia chuckled a bit before she added, “Anyway, you kids have fun. I’ve got work to do.” With that, Nadia scurried off, leaving Riven, Zarren, Jason, Alessa and Jayce to themselves.

Jayce’s eyes flickered between the two newcomers for a moment. They were both in his class earlier that morning although prior to that morning, he had never met either Riven or Zarren. Jason, though, Jayce had known for a while and the simple fact that he had walked up on their little group scared him just a bit. Jayce couldn’t remember the last time that any of the older more experienced students had ever been friendly to him - most of them just ignored him or called him a coward. The young weapon’s eyes glanced to his partner for a moment before his gaze turned back to Jason. ‘I hope he doesn’t do anything… rude…’ As much as he didn’t want to admit it to himself, Jayce wasn’t ready to tell Alessa what had happened just yet. He wasn’t ready to tell her that he had formerly had a meister and that she had been killed by a witch right in front of him while he did nothing.

For the moment, Jayce simply nodded to Jason - which was likely better than ignoring him - and he walked over to Riven and held out his hand. “Nice to meet you,” he said. “We met in class this morning, but I’m Jayce.” His eyes glanced up to Zarren and Jayce quickly decided to offer his other hand to the strange being.

He nudged his head back, gesturing to Alessa as he added, “And that’s my friend Alessa.”

Next when he spoke, Jayce’s words were directed to all three of them - to Zarren, Riven and Jason. “I guess if you guys want we could give you some flyers to hang up around the school. We could cover more ground if we split up.” Jayce shrugged, considering things for a moment. “Or you could walk with us… there’s nothing wrong with a little company.”

Encouraged by the nurse's friendly behavior, Riven's lips, for the first time in what seemed like her whole life, curled upwards. Slightly, and it looked as if she had a more neutral expression compared to her usual frown, but it was a faint smile stretching the otherwise remarkably small mouth. Zarren's skin, of inky black shade, seemed to deepen a little, as if he was blushing. "Concert is pretty dope, 's all..." he hissed out, pouting a little.

Before the brunette fell victim to feelings of having to advance social interaction come the nurse's departure, Jayce approached the One Star Meister and held out his hand. Like an inquisitive dog trying to make a judgement call going by scent alone, her nose wiggled subtly. After a second or two of staying there, limply, her right arm, thin as ever, rose and her hand met his. "Erm... yeah... hey, Riven..." The girl stumbled through and over her words, not wanting to admit that she pretty much sat in that classroom with a severe anxiety attack because of inability to tell whether she was in the correct lecture or not, and thus missed essentially everything, from classmates to the lesson's content. Her lavender eyes scanned the ground with flickering motions, trying to avoid eye contact out of embarrassment, while Zarren let his snout dangle just above the young boy's head, lacking tact as he usually does.

Surprisingly, he reciprocated the handshake, and did so in a sarcastically vigorous manner. "Hiiiiii, I'm Zarreeeeeen!"

Riven furrowed her brows, vicarious shame running through her, but tried to flatten away her scrunched up nose as she replied to his proposal. "I'd love to join. I, uh... I don't really know anyone here yet... aside from... uh... neve-"

"Aside from pinky, her dumbass partner and that weird, nerd-looking kiddo, you mean?"

Riven sighed at Zarren's brash interruption.

"Mhm..."

Awkward silence.

Warren Langston | Yury Durzhavin

Warren Langston was thoroughly disappointed with the way the day was going. First his partner had refused to let him train with her - silly really - and then his partner had gone even further and said they weren't going to try to squeeze in on a mission. Something about having personal matters to take care of or yada yada yada. He didn't really care what Keziah had to take care of because there was no way it could be nearly as important as a person who needed their help.

What made it even worse was the fact that no one seemed to be around. Either everyone left when classes were cancelled or everyone was out on a mission. Warren didn't really care which it was because it left him in the same situation either way.

No one to talk to. No one to turn him into a death scythe.

Then a thought occurred to him. Perhaps it was stupid and perhaps he would get slapped. Either way, though, Warren knew that if he could manage to sneak up on Lord Death in the Death Room, things would get interesting. A sly little grin spread onto Warren's face as he moved through the halls of the academy.

"Excuse me."

With that, he was off, left to his own thoughts once the door of the infirmary was shut. A sigh escaped his lips, as his fingers brushed white locks of hair not caught by his long ponytail. How long would this keep up? A stupid question, he knew the answer to it, for years now even. It drained him of any sense of hope for what was to become of him in the future, more so than before. His feet led him forward in a slow pace, heading back to class with far less enthusiasm than he had this morning. With his hands stuffed in his pockets, a sour look to him, it was clear how something troubled the Russian Meister other than his every so often narcolepsy attacks. Even during class he was not safe... Rather, he dared say it was worse if he were on a mission. But no, a NOT student that collapsed under no pressure, how reassuring for a prospective partner.

No, no, he did not think of it as the sole reason for his condition over DWMA. His personality was not the most easy to handle, given what past experience could tell him. Let us not count the nature of his weapon itself.... Ahh, all this self-deprecation did not help. Getting a grip on his emotions, Yury tried to pick up the pace, hoping to reach the classroom in time. On the way, though...

Well, at least he had not collided with him, taking the moment to be somewhat genre-savvy. Quick reflexes, sharp perception or just plain luck, take your pick. But wait, wasn't he...? Okay, maybe he shouldn't be staring, especially with a pair of eyes as his. But if memory did not fail him...this guy was Warren Langston. What was a EAT student wandering around the halls? Without his partner no less? Curiosity piqued his interest but not enough to have forget good manners. "Ah, good morning." Don't ask, don't ask. Just be polite and walk away.

Warren turned. He turned fast and once his eyes fell on another person, even if it was a person who he didn't even vaguely recognize, there was no way his attention was going to stray away from them. He'd been dying for someone to talk to since Keziah had ditched him completely.

"Good morning!" Warren replied, extremely jubilant. "You must be one of the NOT students! Or... well, or you're just new. Though it would be weird to be a new student on the day that Lord Death cancelled classes, wouldn't it?" He couldn't help but think he was right, but he wouldn't know. He wasn't new, after all.

"Anyway, I'll bet you're looking for someone to teach you a few things, right? I could certainly show you the ropes so that when your time comes to go on a mission, you know what you're doing. I am the Great Evening Star, after all! I'm gonna be the next death scythe!" Warren's self promotion had to come sooner or later and it seemed it had found its slot.

Having not expected a greeting so very...enthusiastic from the start, Yury was left somewhat baffled for a few seconds, staring at the stranger wide-eyed. Regaining his composure, he was quickly met with a sense of discomfort at how perceptive this guy could be. Well, I guess it comes with the privilege of being an EAT student, he thought, this academy has its prestige for a reason.

Tilting his head ever so slightly to the side, Yury observed his "senior" with a curious look to him. Show him the ropes? While he had his doubts as to how a volatile, diva-like personality had managed to find a partner, he couldn't deny a certain allure to his proposal. If anything, now was the perfect time for him to indulge in this activity, seeing how lost he felt at his current state of affairs regarding his status. What I mean is I feel like trash right now, to put it simply, he thought to himself.

"Um, pleased to make your acquaintance, Mr. Great Evening Star." The NOT Meister cleared his throat, as if to pause over his next choice of words. "If that's alright with you, I would like to know what missions do you find...say...more difficult?" He only hoped this guy was not offended. Diva types like this lot required caution, if his days at the circus had proved anything.

Warren's mind started running in small circles as he contemplated an answer. "Well, let's see here..." he pondered. "More difficult missions..." It really seemed to be a hard question for him to answer for some odd reason or another.

"The missions where someone thinks they're the best tend to be difficult..." he mentioned briefly. Of course, he was being highly hypocritical there because he thought he was the best of them all. Perhaps that was why he and Keziah didn't get along in the most effective manner.

"You know, maybe when you get to be as great as me, everything just comes easy. I can't really think of much." At least he was honest in that he couldn't think of any hard missions. That could've been attributed to many things, though. Maybe he was as good as he thought he was. Maybe he had a really good partner. He did, technically - she was a two-star meister, after all. Maybe he simply hadn't been on many difficult missions. There were many possibilities there.

Was that so hard for him to think about? Perhaps he really was as promising as he claimed himself to be so. Or he could be faking it in order to give Yury that impression. Hard to say, diva-types could go either way, from simple-minded to masters of lies and deceit.

His follow-up statement did not help to make things any clearer. The best? Best at or best as in terms of quality and ease? How confusing. Yury could sometimes be a little too ambiguous with his answers at times but in this case, it was simply bound to look evasive of Warren to say so. He raised an eyebrow, arms folded, his disbelief could not be conveyed in any other way. If the objective was to 'show him the ropes' as he said, he was not making it any easier than a teacher would at this point. Come on, Yury, don't just give in, he thought to himself, or rather scolded himself. It's for attitudes like this that you still haven't found a suitable partner... If anything this was a test for him to strengthen his skeptical, impatient mind.

"I...see." The conclusion the Great Evening Star came up reverted back to his initial deductions. He didn't think he was lying. Maybe he really is that arrogant, he thought to himself. "Well..." Let us start from somewhere else, he thought. Maybe that would help. "If it is a personal matter to speak of...how did you find your partner? How did you know that they were...the one?" He paused, somewhat flustered by his own words. "I apologize if that's too much, it's only for future reference."

Warren smiled at the mention of partners because that was something he could talk about all day. He had had his own fair share of people who'd worked with him. For some reason or another, they never seemed to stick around for too long and Warren couldn't even begin to fathom why that was. Maybe he was just too strong for them. Yes, he mentally decided. That had to be it. There was no other possible explanation.

Then again, he'd also had partners who had simply been unable to use him which was another problem entirely. Warren never blamed them for it and he never looked down on them because of it. He just decided that it wasn't meant to be. His ability to get past that was actually one of his finer qualities.

"Well, for starters, you've gotta find people who can actually use you as a weapon or a partner who you can actually wield if you're a meister," Warren explained, only realizing as he said it that he didn't know if the boy in front of him was a weapon or a meister. It was an odd thing not to know given the questions the boy was asking, but he worked around it just fine. "Some meisters can wield almost anyone and sometimes it just doesn't work." He shrugged at that. Given that he didn't pay too much attention in class, he didn't understand the intricacies of compatibility.

"Then from there, you find someone who you can mentally work with. My partner's Keziah right now and she's..." his face curled as he tried to find a word that wasn't terrible to describe her. "Well... she takes her position seriously, that's for sure." He didn't mention that it was actually a bit too seriously for his liking.

His smile seemed to indicate a positive response. Good, they were getting somewhere. To see someone react in such a manner when it came to their partner...yes, he could not help but feel a bit envious. Would he do such a thing one day too? Hard to tell, hard to picture, Yury was no tone to smile on command even… He tilted his head ever so slightly yet again, paying close attention to Warren’s next word.

That’s a given, the Russian could not help but think as he proceeded to elaborate. But he did not lose interest, despite the weak beginning. Something in particular puzzled him. Had he figured out he was in fact a Meister? With his choice of words, it was a possibility. His last statement proved to be a challenge to work through. Doesn’t work…? Could that be his problem? The fact that he could not wield any Weapon so far despite his training in being able to work with any kind of it? The thought was discouraging, to say the least…

“Mentally…” Yury muttered over his words, his eyes fixing upon the floor beneath him, as if losing himself in his own thoughts. From what he could gather from Warren and his partner, opposing personalities seemed to be key here. So in that case, who would be his opposing personality? Questions, questions… “Thank you, Mr Great Evening Star.” He paused, nodding his head faintly. “I…think I have nothing more to ask you. Perhaps because an EAT status seems too far ahead….” If that made any sense.

Warren's eyes widened for a moment as he simply muttered, "Oh... well, ok then." In truth, he had been hoping for more. He had been hoping to get to actually show the student how awesome he really was through some kind of demonstration although he didn't really even know how that would work. Warren just thought it would be exciting to do.

Although he was disappointed that their encounter was going to end so abruptly, Warren did think of one final thing to add in, though. Reaching around, he patted the boy on the back and exclaimed, "Nothing's too far ahead! You'll get there! Believe you can and you will!" Warren was nothing if not optimistic and confident in himself. Sometimes he truly did understand that it was a good thing for other people to have as well.

Adrika sighed as she sat rather bored on her bed in the NOT dormitories. Yes, though she was now technically an EAT student she still lived within the NOT dorms on account of never getting a chance to move out over the summer. Her father had gotten her a small apartment in Death City to move into, but she couldn't be bothered packing and moving her first week back to the DWMA. Classes had been cancelled, and she'd been spending most of her down time trying to catch up on training and information she'd missed while away.

The A-muse concert, ghosts set loose, a little imp on the run, and so much more interesting and possibly fun things she'd missed because of a stupid family issue that just had to require her going away. It wasn't even that important. The small girl huffed, and got off the bed. She was dressed in her typical, very pink, outfit. Tired of sitting and doing nothing in her similarly pink and purple filled room, she slid on shoes and left the dormitories all together.

As she strolled out of the building and into the streets of Death City, she hummed a cheery little tune to herself and tried to think of something fun to do. She could go rally the neighborhood kids for something or another, train some more, or shop. Alas, non of that really stood out as interesting at the time. She decided to head to the DWMA and see what was going on there. Granted, most students were out on missions, even the NOT class had been called upon for missions. As a newly appointed EAT weapon, she would love to be out on a mission as well. But she couldn't very well do that without finding a meister to work with, which left her with trying to find something else to do daily.

By this time, she'd reached the many steps and was grinning up them happily. There steps were always fun, no matter what. She took off up them, as fast as physically possible for her. At the top she stopped to catch her breath before she headed into the building. It was considerably empty, like usual lately. She stood looking down the left wing for a while, to see if anyone was there.

Wait a minute... That sounded like someone talking. Very loudly. Curious now, she took off to the right where said sound was coming from. "--ou can and you will!"  She slowed to a halt not far from a pair of boys, catching in full the tail end of whatever was being said. Now she was able to put a name to both the voice and the hair, as she was only able to see the back of the one that had been speaking. 'Evening Star' or something like that. She remembered from the multiple time he'd been mentioned while speaking with other students about thing she'd missed, and from when she was around as a NOT student. The other boy she didn't recognize and that was a problem in her book. She wants to become friends with everybody after all! Not knowing someone meant she needed to get to know them.

"Hey!" She greeted, almost exclaimed as Warren had been, one hand stuck up in a wave, though she'd been standing there for a minute or two now. "What's up you guys?" She questioned, somewhat quieter, but not lacking in excitement at all. She had a friendly smile on her face all the while. Her hand did eventually drop back to her side, and she moved a step closer to the pair at some point.

Yury Piotrevich Derzhavin

The disappointment on Warren’s face did not go unnoticed by the likes of Yury, leading the latter to grow uneasy for a moment. What was he supposed to question him further about…? He could not ask for a demonstration, per say, given the absence of his partner. At this point, he would be grasping at straws here… Of course, I cannot expect him to understand that. Folding his arms, the white haired male could not help himself from drawing his eyes away from the EAT Weapon if not for a brief moment. Yes, it certainly did not aid this strained atmosphere, but it was either this or be as blunt as however he pleased to be. Quite frankly, the former option was the best suited for this. No need to make Warren turn hostile towards him as well…

He did have a point. “Thank you, Mr. Great Evening Star.” A faint, yet all the while genuine smile adorned his serene features, a sight to lo and behold, as it may. “I apologize if I did not provide much of a distraction for you. But your answers were…interesting. I think I can take something from this experience.” His words were formal but he hoped Warren could make sense out of them.Despite so…What followed did, however, come as a surprise. Such optimism… Then again, could it have come into the factor of his status? His own somewhat self-deprecating nature could be at work as a way to prevent him from acquiring any development on his issue, even more than he thought. Well, perhaps not, he could just be looking too much into it.

He could not quiet address it as an intrusion, but the presence of a stranger out of nowhere was quick to banish his smile. Her identity would clear off initial suspicion, as Yury would come to recognize the newly assigned EAT Weapon. Was she in his class prior to it…? Hard to say, he was not one to pay much attention to his classmates if not for the prospect of a partner. Not to mention he had his lousy memory to thank too for such. Why had she approached them? Given her overall attitude, the Meister assumed this felt natural for her, something he could not help but fathom over. Her question, or greeting as it may, did not provide any further insight into what she had set out to do either. Yury chose to remain in silence, yet again finding it befitting rather than blurt out a solid remark, dripping with honesty and potentially come across as an ‘asshole’. Yeah, good idea. He would glance at Warren, hoping to rely on his extroverted, social nature for this task.

Warren Langston

One of the reasons why Warren had been hoping for more of a conversation was simply because even he knew that his former plan for entertainment - sneaking up on Lord Death - posed quite a few potential problems that he wasn’t sure how to address. That being said, if their conversation was done - which Yury’s words seemed to confirm - then the conversation was done and he had to move on from it to something bigger and better. Warren was always heading higher, always aiming for bigger and always seeking improvement to become better. It was just the way he was.

Luckily for him, Yury was no longer the only person around.

Turning to Adrika as she called out to them, Warren had no hesitation in jumping right in. He knew her, of course. Or… at the very least, he knew of her. They were in the same class, after all. It would’ve been odd if they had never encountered one another before.

“What’s up is that classes were cancelled and my silly partner doesn’t want to go on a mission so now I’m bored out of my mind and no one’s even around for me to show them how awesome I am! Lord Death should really let someone as great as me go on a mission by myself, don’t you think? It would certainly be better than leaving me here where my greatness goes unnoticed.”

Despite how ridiculous it likely sounded, Warren was serious and anyone who’d spent the slightest bit of time around him would know that with absolute certainty.

Adrika frowned and nodded. "Maybe you should ask him if he'd let you go! You partners boring... Doesn't want to go on a mission. Jeez." She replied, like she'd understood perfectly well what he'd said. "I kind of wish I could go on a mission. Being here is sooo boring now!" She added on, with a sigh and a bit of a shrug.

She bounced on her toes for a few momments, before rushing up to Warren, her head tilted back to look up to his face. "Don't let your meister be a bump on the log so much! It bums your fun." She told him, not really quietly either. She was quite excited about it, and quite obviously not caring she was speaking to one of her seniors. A huge smile appeared on her face.

Finally, she turned her attention to the boy who had yet to say anything. Her huge grin shrank to a friendly smile. "What about you?" She questioned, after she moved closer to the considerably taller male. Her head tilted back more than she had needed to with Warren. "What're you doing here at school today?" She clarified just in case. Her smile didn't falter and remind friendly all the while.
