Rhône's upbringing had made her crave for the world outside made her very hospitable to travelers who wound up in her town. There, she would listen to stories and pick up information, facts, and trivia that she would do her best to remember in order to use later. As she traveled the world, this key part of her personality expanded and matured, forming part of her core identity. The town also had an effect, as the slow pace of life let her appreciate the slowness of life -and thus- is usually slow to do what is asked of her; she is also a shameless procrastinator. This does not mean she is inefficient, often reaching the deadline of tasks in time or doing more than is requested when the mood strikes her. In battle she is quite the mover, often doing rather than thinking, this leads her into advantageous or disadvantageous situations.
With regards to how she deals with people, Rhône is quite insensitive to people who are dispirited, in a state of shock, or in a state of melancholy. This often leads her into conflict with others and she has lost some friends due to this. But when it comes to sensing danger, she is very perceptive.
History: Rhône was born and raised in a borderland town in the edges of the kingdom. Tracing their history to a once-independent, propserous, seafaring nation whose ruler married the eighth prince of Valkyrion thereby merging the two nations, the town is now a sleepy town where both civilization and nature -in the form of mangroves- intertwine in unison. Rhône grew up in peacetime, but it did not mean all was well then. Bandits roamed the lands, ruffians terrorized travelers, and even blatant corruption made itself known. Rhône who would spend her days, fishing on the wooden boardwalks that served as pathways, gathering crabs and fruits for dinner, and chauffeur for the children grew increasingly worried that news of the problems were getting closer and closer to their home. Meetings in the townspeople often discussed these worries, but no concrete solution could be taken from this. It seemed like the time would come when bandits would come to their town and Rhône as well as her neighbors would be ill-equipped to fend them off.
A solution would arrive. Valkyrion soldiers had arrived one day, recruiting men and women to be in service of the Kingdom through the military. They would keep order in this province, they had said, and would be given the training and equipment to do so. After a moment's hesitation, Rhône joined the knights in order to defend the town as well as the neighboring settlements. She rose through the ranks, and by the age of twenty -due to a combination of experience and lack of manpower- became one of the captains to lead a squad of knights in their lands. Dubbed the 'Mangrove' squadron, they patrolled the area in order to check the increasing brashness of bandits. One day, while the squadron was on patrol, Rhône made a discovery: four of the bandit groups had united in order to take over a village that was difficult to reach. By taking over and fortifying the village, the bandits would have a base to stage attacks as well as expand their influence and control of other areas. Noting the relative laxness of security, Rhône quickly gave orders to her troop for strategies, tactics, and advice in order to defeat the four Bandit groups.
The victory was splendid, not one life was lost, with the exception of two Bandit leaders. Once they had been rounded up and sent to the Barracks, the higher-ups learned of the plan and were alarmed at how troublesome things could have been. Rhône, who had acted rashly and endangered the lives of her soldiers, was not made to stand in front of a court-martial, but was punished nevertheless. She was discreetly discharged with a pay equal three years -in acknowledgment of the event- and removed from service. The event was an embarrassment to that part of the military branch and tightened security in the area. This made Rhône's town and those nearby much more safer.
Meanwhile, Rhône who found herself with nothing to do, decided to do the one thing she had dreamt of since she was young: traveling the world. So with her money and sword, she began her journey of traveling the known world. Two years later, after seeing dry deserts, enchanting lakes, stunning mountaintops, mystifying tundras, and much more, she returned to her town and quietly settled with her parents, telling of her stories to the new generation to encourage them to go beyond their towns and experience the world for themselves. She had thought that would be how her life would continue.
She was in for a surprise.
A few years later, soldiers came back. This time however, they did not search for people to enlist, not quite anyway. Rather, they searched for Rhône so they could recruit her once more. Things were getting worse outside the province, and they needed talented knights once more to combat this threat. Rhône didn't refuse. Rather, she couldn't refuse. It was a royal decree that she had to join the force once more. Giving her one week to get to the capital, the soldiers left, leaving Rhône to procrastinate until she readied her clothes and belongings, and made her way to the Castle of Valkyrion.
