  A

  civil war has shaken southern Thedas to its core. Oppressed members of the Circle of Magi have rebelled against the Templars in a declaration for independence, threatening the stability of Orlais. In an effort for peace Divine Justinia V has orchestrated a Divine Conclave, a summit between the ambassadors of the rebel Mages and Templars to negotiate a compromise.
  
  An explosion kills all those attending the Conclave and a massive tear in the Veil is created, later known as the Breach. As demons invade Thedas a lone survivor is apprehended for questioning, bearing a magical mark on their palm coined the Anchor, accused of arranging the attack against the Conclave. The survivor is taken to a Rift and uses the Anchor to seal it, causing many to believe that they are a messiah.
  
  The survivor is labelled as the Herald of Andraste, a miracle sent to Thedas to seal the Breach and find whomever opened it. An Inquisition is born, sanctioned by the late Divine to restore order to Orlais and Ferelden.   The roleplay will not be "choose your own adventure" necessarily or heavily DND-based, however I would like to include quests that you would find in the Dragon Age: Inquisition game to make the experience more immersive. Quests will typically be assigned to groups of three and I'll ask for everyone's input on their preferences. Some of the more important moments we encounter in the games will be adjusted to account for cast size. It will take some time to get there so I'll adjust and plan based off of my experiences with the scenes we've done before then. There will be minimal dice rolling, however we may use them to determine injuries or luck on occasion. Any minor decision making will be done within groups, but major decisions will be discussed with the cast a whole similar to a council.   The acceptable races for characters will be human, city and Dalish elves, dwarves, and Qunari. Due to this, we will be using illustrated face claims. I ask that the art style be more semi-realistic to suit the Dragon Age aesthetic. If you need any assistance, please feel free to ask. Characters will be 21+ and should have an appropriate age for their role. For example, it is unlikely for a spymaster to be so young. All gender expressions and sexual orientations are welcome. Diversity is encouraged. Due to the chance of there being romantic undertones / sub-plots within the roleplay, I do ask that everyone be at least 18 to join.   Roles won't be first come, first serve. Since the roles are very important to the roleplay, I would like to ensure that characters can fulfill them. I don't want to waste anyone's time, so I will ask for a smaller app with basic information and a general overview of character backstory/personality.   I

  n the Fifth Blight, a Grey Warden was the Hero of Ferelden, the youngest child of Teyrn Cousland. Betrayed the Cousland castle burned to the ground, taking the lives of the Teyrn and his wife, leaving the young noble to escape and be recruited by Duncan to join the Grey Wardens. The allied Ferelden and Grey Warden forces met in Ostagar, where King Cailan's armies and a host of Wardens gathered, ready to destroy the Darkspawn. When Loghain betrayed his king, Cailan's forces were destroyed and the south was lost.
  
  The Hero, Elissa Cousland, survived with the aid of Flemeth, the mysterious Witch of the Wilds. Joined by Flemeth's daughter, Morrigan and a Grey Warden, Alistair, Elissa set out to build an army strong enough to abolish the Blight. With Loghain now seated on Ferelden's throne, the Wardens sought help from the Arl Eamon of Redcliffe, only to find the town under siege by undead that arose each night. With the help of the Wardens the horde was dealt with and broke the demon's hold over Connor, but Arl Eamon needed a miracle to save his life. The heroes located an urn containing the Sacred Ashes of Andraste, which were said to cure any ailment, protected by ancient traps and a dragon worshiping cult. The urn remained pure but mysteriously disappeared from its temple after the Wardens departed, the arl's health restored with a pinch of the ashes. Learning of Loghain's treachery, the Arl swore his support to their cause.
  
  The Wardens sought out the help of the Circle of Magi but found that Lake Calenhad's tower could offer little help. One of its mages had been possessed by a pride demon and was twisting other Circle mages into abominations, Elissa fought to the top of the tower and defeated the mage, saving those who remained. Grateful for their lives the mages joined the Warden. They left to find more allies and found an unlikely alliance in the Dalish elves after freeing them from a long-standing curse that turned them into werewolves. The Wardens moved on to seek an alliance from the dwarves, arriving in Orzammar in the wake of King Endrin's death with political factions fighting for control over the capital. They set off to find the Paragon in the Deep Roads, destroying the Anvil of the Void, returning with the favor Prince Behelen needed to take the throne.
  
  The Wardens now had to deal with the looming threat of Loghain, the Arl Eamon called for a Landsmeet, finding Loghain guilty of treason and leading Elissa to execute him in Denerim's palace. The Darkspawn laid siege to Ferelden's capital, Elissa's army fought valiantly and broke the Darkspawn siege, and fought alongside her allies against the Archdemon. The Archdemon was destroyed without the sacrifice of Elissa's life and the Darkspawn retreated, leaving Ferelden to pick up the pieces.   I

  t all began in Kirkwall: the fall of Knight-Commander Meredith, the Qunari rebellion, the Chantry's destruction and the onset of mage rebellion. One person always stood amidst the chaos, Garrett Hawke, the Champion of Kirkwall. The Hawke family were refugees from the Blight, as a warrior with a family legacy of magic on both sides Hawke naturally became involved with events that lead to the mage rebellion.
  
  Hawke worked for a gang of smugglers, an opportunity eventually struck in the form of a dwarf named Bartrand Tetris who was planning an expedition to the Deep Roads, it was a long shot but the gold could potentially free the Hawke family from its criminal creditors. Hawke met a rogue Grey Warden named Anders and with his maps of the Deep Roads, they found ancient Dwarven treasure. When Hawke returned to Kirkwall his sister Bethany had been arrested and forced into the Circle. With the money earned from the expedition the Hawkes were able to recover their family home, but they were barely able to settle down before Garrett's mother was murdered, while he hunted down the blood mage responsible Kirkwall still faced rising tensions.
  
  Revered Mother Petrice, convinced that the Qunari were a threat to the Chantry's faith, incited violence between the Qunari and Kirkwall populace. Hawke tried to stop her but Petrice orchestrated the murder of Seamus Dumar, a viscount's son and recent convert to the Qun. When her crime was discovered, a Qunari assassin killed her. After the murder the Arishok of the Qunari lost patience: they would submit to the Qun or die. The Qunari struck hard and fast, taking the palace in Hightown and beheading the viscount. Aided by Knight-Commander Meredith, Hawke reached the palace and stood against the Qunari leader. The fight resulted in the Arishok's death and brief liberation of Kirkwall, gaining the title of The Champion of Kirkwall.
  
  With the viscount's death Meredith took power, under her command the Templars tightened their grip over the mages in an attempt to suppress the rebellion. Anders destroyed Kirkwall's Chantry, this single act began a rebellion that spread from Circle to Circle, until all Circle Magi stood against Chantry rule. Garrett spared Anders' life, with Circle magi turning against Templars, Meredith ordered that every mage be put to the sword. Hawke saved as many mages as he could, but he was forced to strike down First Enchanter Orsino when he betrayed his own values by resorting to blood magic. Meredith had gone mad, Hawke could see the truth when Meredith unsheathed her sword and the red lyrium idol from the Deep Roads was embedded within it.
